I booked a class through GetYourGuide months in advance and received a confirmation text with two links but no booking reference number. On the event day, both links redirected to the homepage, leaving me unable to access my booking. I contacted customer service eight hours before the event, providing every detail I could—payment proof, card digits, contact info, and transaction date. They still claimed they couldn’t find my booking and said the investigation would take 2–3 working days—well past the event time. When I requested a refund, they refused, citing their 24-hour cancellation policy, despite the issue being caused by their own booking system. I ended up paying for a service I couldn’t use, with no support or resolution. Extremely disappointed. You can find the same classes or trips cheaper by booking directly—avoid the hassle.

Took a boat tour in Köln with my dad and he loved it. The trip was enjoyable, though I wish it had been a bit longer. The server on board was excellent, and I enjoyed a coffee while noticing other food options available for purchase. It’s a lovely way to learn about the city while relaxing on the water.

I booked an activity advertised as “Pantheon Audio Tour with Fast Track Ticket,” but upon arrival, I was told it only covered an audio headset rental—not actual entry. Despite the clear title, I couldn’t enter the Pantheon during an international trip planned months in advance. Unlike reputable companies like Expedia or TripAdvisor, there was no guarantee or proper resolution. I ultimately had to dispute the charge through my credit card company. I do not recommend this service.

This company relies on aggressive marketing tactics that can easily mislead customers. Listings are worded to suggest inclusions that aren’t actually provided, creating false expectations. Once you’ve paid, they show little accountability or willingness to resolve issues, leaving you to chase refunds through your bank. Not a trustworthy way to book activities.

I booked a day trip to Bimini, Bahamas through GetYourGuide, but in hindsight, buying tickets in advance wasn’t worth it—you can easily get them on-site. The listing was misleading, with the wrong meeting point, forcing us to take an unnecessary taxi ride before finding the correct spot. The ferry experience was chaotic: nearly an hour of waiting before departure, and another hour after arrival before we could disembark. The vessel was rusty and old, and the return trip was a nightmare—over 600 passengers on board, no guarantee of sitting together, and overpriced snacks and drinks. Passport control took around 45 minutes after arrival. The Bahamas itself was stunning, but the overall travel experience was poorly organized. If I go again, I’d skip GetYourGuide and buy directly at the port, ensuring I have the exact meeting point ready for my Uber or Lyft driver.

I took the Hop-On Hop-Off tour with Der Tempelhofer and had a wonderful experience. Our tour guide, Steffi, provided engaging and knowledgeable live commentary throughout the trip. Her competence and friendly manner made the journey even more enjoyable.
"Overpriced Compared to On-Site Purchase"
The tickets cost about 25% more through this service than if you buy them directly on-site. Definitely not worth the extra cost — I do not recommend.
