"No Expectation, No Disappointment"
The main reason I chose to fly with Cathay Pacific was the low fare for the Taipei–Hong Kong–Singapore route (with a plane change in Hong Kong). It was an early morning flight, so there wasn’t much time to enjoy their lounge. I did manage to try the beef noodle, which was underwhelming—the beef was quite tough, though the soup base was decent. The flight itself was completely full. The in-flight meal was disappointing, and the service was just average. That said, given the short two-hour flight time, I didn’t have high expectations. Overall, it’s a convenient and affordable choice, but don’t count on a premium experience.
"Best business class!"
This was the best business class experience I’ve ever had. The flight departed on time with no delays. The seat was incredibly comfortable, offering excellent recline and a spacious tray table. The flight attendants were exceptionally friendly and attentive throughout the journey. The food selection was outstanding—easily some of the best I’ve had onboard. The amenity kit was well-stocked with useful items, and the seat came equipped with great features like a pillow, blanket, reading lamp, and charging ports. The in-flight entertainment was impressive, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The entire flight was smooth, and the landing was gentle. Without a doubt, a solid 5/5 for Cathay Pacific’s business class.
"Heart for service?"
Smooth and Comfortable Emirates Flight from Dubai to Prague We chose Emirates Economy for our trip from Dubai to Prague due to its convenient direct route and excellent destination options. Online check-in was quick and hassle-free, and the flight departed and arrived right on schedule. The seats were comfortable, and I managed to get a good rest. Both the cabin and bathrooms were clean and well-maintained throughout the journey. Headphones were provided, and the halal meals were tasty and satisfying. The in-flight entertainment system offered a great selection of movies, though the I.C.E. promotional video could use an update. The cabin crew were friendly and courteous, contributing to a pleasant flying experience. We tested the Wi-Fi, which unfortunately was on the slower side, but overall, it was a great flight—I’d definitely fly Emirates again.
"Very good except the check-in"
I flew business class on CX882 from Hong Kong to LAX on 12/12/2024. The plane was an older A777, which wasn’t as advanced as some newer aircraft. The TV was a bit tricky to use, but that was manageable. The onboard service was good, although I couldn’t get the meal I wanted. The VIP lounge, check-in once we reached the counter, and overall service were excellent. However, the business class check-in at Hong Kong could use some improvement. We arrived 3 hours ahead of our flight, but there was a line with 10-15 passengers both before and after us. We had to wait 15-20 minutes to get to the counter. The check-in screen showed four flights departing around the same time, but there were only three check-in stations available (and briefly, just one). Given that Hong Kong is Cathay Pacific's headquarters and there were no apparent flight time changes, they should have been better prepared. Overall, it was a good experience, but the check-in process at HKG left room for improvement.
"Disappointing Experience from a Top-Ranked Airline"
I was looking forward to flying with Cathay Pacific again, especially after it was named one of the top 10 airlines in the world. While the service was efficient and generally good, it lacked warmth and felt a bit impersonal. The cabin was clean but somewhat dated in appearance. The wine list was modest, offering only a small selection. However, the most disappointing aspect was the in-flight entertainment system—it was extremely outdated and by far the poorest I’ve seen on any airline. Unfortunately, the food was a major letdown as well. From presentation to flavor, quality, and portion size—everything fell short. Overall, this experience did not meet my expectations, especially from an airline of Cathay Pacific’s reputation.
"Good Overall Experience with Room for Improvement"
Cathay Pacific offers excellent onboard entertainment with a wide variety of options to keep you engaged throughout the flight. The food was more than acceptable—tasty and satisfying. While the cabin crew was polite, their English communication could be improved. Additionally, the legroom was a bit tight. That said, it was still a solid and enjoyable experience overall.
"Outstanding Customer Service – A 5-Star Experience with Cathay Pacific Airways!"
Over the past forty years, I’ve flown with Cathay Pacific Airways several times. In November of last year, I booked tickets for my wife and me through Gotogate.com. Unfortunately, due to her mother’s declining health, my wife had to cancel her trip in January. While the ticket was non-refundable, I reached out to Gotogate.com in hopes of finding a solution. I was pleasantly surprised by the level of support I received. Gotogate.com assisted me in contacting Cathay Pacific Airways, whose customer service team was incredibly understanding and professional. They took the initiative to coordinate directly with Gotogate.com, and within just a few days, they processed a refund for my wife’s ticket. The outcome was both fair and satisfying, and their prompt response and care truly stood out. Although my wife couldn’t join the trip, I continued with flight CX 807, where the service has been nothing short of exceptional. The staff’s attentiveness and warm hospitality have turned this into a memorable journey. Because of this experience, I am giving Cathay Pacific Airways the highest rating on Google Reviews. Their professionalism and customer-first approach exceeded all expectations. This is an airline I trust and wholeheartedly recommend. One smart travel tip I observed onboard: A mother seated in the front row with her two young children—a toddler and a little girl—brought two small inflatable airbags to support her kids during the flight. It kept them safe and comfortable and prevented them from sliding to the floor. Such a clever and thoughtful idea!
"BEST FLIGHT OF MY LIFE!"
The check-in process was excellent, and the lounge was a nice touch—though a bit small with limited food options. Boarding was impressively fast, and I’d recommend being kind to the crew, as it really enhances the experience. The seat was fantastic, offering plenty of space and a full bag of useful toiletries. Overall, it was a smooth, enjoyable flight and a great experience. I definitely recommend flying with them!
