"Iberia is honestly pretty decent overall—the product itself is solid. However, the flight attendants were quite rude, and my flight was delayed by several hours, causing me to miss my connection. When I finally got to Heathrow, there was only one person at the service desk trying to handle a huge crowd, which made the whole process painfully slow." Overall, my experiences with Iberia have been okay—except in Madrid, where it was absolutely awful. I’ve unfortunately flown with them twice out of Madrid, and both times were a complete disaster. On the first occasion, they detained my brother and harassed him over baggage dispatch issues. But the second experience was even worse. Despite waiting seven hours at the airport, we weren’t allowed to board our flight. After standing in line for 15 minutes and paying over €300, I was directed to customer service. Even when I showed solid proof—my bank statement clearly confirming the ticket payment—they continued to argue and insisted the payment wasn’t valid. The entire experience was incredibly disrespectful and completely unacceptable. After this, I can confidently say I’ll never fly with Iberia again. Would you like this toned down for a public-facing review site or kept strong like this?
"Good experience with Iberia"
I had a great experience flying with Iberia from Nantes to Dakar and back, with a connection in Madrid. All flights were on time, except for the Madrid to Dakar leg, which was delayed by about an hour due to a no-show passenger whose luggage had to be removed. The food was acceptable, but what stood out to me was the use of metal cutlery—something I really appreciate, especially compared to the wooden utensils many airlines now use. The crew were polite and attentive, offering coffee multiple times during the short flight to Dakar. I also found Madrid Barajas Airport to be an excellent transfer hub. Based on this experience, I’ll very likely fly with Iberia again. Would you like this shortened further for a quick review platform or kept as-is?
"Good food and service"
Although it was a short flight with barely enough time to finish a cup of coffee, the experience was overall quite positive. The breakfast served was plentiful, and the airport lounge and fast track service were excellent. The crew was friendly and attentive. The only downside was that the seats didn’t allow for the legrest to be raised, which would have added a bit more comfort. "Tight seating on overnight flight made sleep impossible."
We booked a night flight hoping to get 3–5 hours of sleep, but unfortunately, Iberia’s Airbus A350 was completely unsuitable for any rest. The economy seats were extremely cramped—so much so that when the person in front of my 5'10" husband reclined, his knees were painfully jammed against the seat. A friend of ours, who is an airline pilot, mentioned that most A350s typically have around 200 seats. Ours had 240 in economy, plus another 50 across premium and business classes. The seat width was about 18", and the legroom appeared to be around 14"—extremely tight for an 11-hour flight. While I can tolerate this setup on shorter flights of 3–4 hours, it’s completely unacceptable for long-haul travel. That said, the positives were the food (which was excellent), the movie selection, the pricing, cleanliness, and overall timeliness of the flight. But despite those, I won’t be flying from San Francisco to Europe with Iberia on this aircraft again. Would you like this customized more for platforms like TripAdvisor or airline feedback sites?

"Very good experience"
I had a very good experience flying on the Airbus A350-900. The crew's attention and courtesy were excellent throughout the flight. The onboard entertainment, food, and drinks were more than enough to make the journey enjoyable. Best of all, both the departure and arrival times were right on schedule.
