"Good option for LHR to Cairo or Luxor"
That's a pleasantly surprising experience with EgyptAir, especially considering your initial low expectations from reviews. It’s great to hear that the flights were on time, the staff friendly, and the meals enjoyable—those are the things that really count. The convenience of flying direct from Luxor without unnecessary layovers definitely adds value too, even if the plane interior was a bit dated. Would you feel confident choosing EgyptAir again for future travel, or was this more of a one-time convenience decision?

That’s definitely a frustrating experience—11 hours without a proper meal can really impact your comfort. Most airlines offer vegetarian meals if requested in advance, so it’s worth checking during booking or calling customer service to confirm. Hopefully, they'll improve the availability of special meals onboard.
"WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER!!! DON’T BOOK WITH THEM EVER!!!"
I was scheduled to fly with them in June, but my flight was unexpectedly canceled and rebooked for the following day—without any notification. They claimed to have emailed me, but I received no such email, not even in my junk folder. When I called to find out what happened, the first representative told me I had purchased a standby ticket, which was clearly false since that option isn’t even offered. After I questioned him further, he abruptly ended the call. I called again and still received no clear explanation for the cancellation. The new representative offered to book me on a different flight for the same day with a partner airline—but only if I paid an additional $900. This was completely unacceptable, as the airline canceled my flight without reason. When I requested to cancel only the flight to Berlin so I could make my own arrangements, they went ahead and canceled my entire trip, including both my inbound

The food was okay. But it got delayed and no compensation. It was super annoying. They even didn't apologize when they made us wait on the airplane.
"Egyptair, no respect for flights time"
"I traveled to Vienna on April 25th and experienced a 40-minute delay at Cairo Airport, even though the departure board showed the flight as 'on time.' EgyptAir staff confirmed there was indeed a delay. The same thing happened on my return flight on May 1st. As usual, we were transported to the aircraft by bus instead of using a jet bridge—possibly as a cost-cutting measure. Meanwhile, flights operated by Emirates and Qatar Airways, departing from nearby gates, left on time and used jet bridges. EgyptAir urgently needs professional management to enhance overall performance and start showing greater respect for its passengers."
"Pleasant internal flight"
