"Air Canada is terrible don’t fly"
We wanted to go to Paris for our honeymoon but the flight was cancelled after 4 hours. We were told we were going to get vouchers for hotels or car service that never came. We were supposed to get rebooked and that never happened we had to figure it out ourselves and lost a day plus a night stay at a hotel and it's highly unlikely air Canada will do anything to make it up to us. Worst airline and experience I've ever had
"Amazing air hostess 🙂"
Maggie, our flight attendant, was an absolute superstar! ⭐ We had a problem with the overhead lights, and while we were resting, she took the initiative to fix it with a clever DIY solution using a cup. Her thoughtfulness and creativity made our journey so much more comfortable. Thank you, Maggie—you truly made our trip better! 🙂
"Request"
I’ve lost valuables that were gifted to me by my late father on my wedding day. These items hold immense sentimental value, and I’m hoping that someone with a kind heart will assist me in recovering them, without any complications. I would be truly grateful for any help in getting them back.
"POOR service and OUTDATED tools for Modern day"
Air Canada is not recommended unless absolutely necessary. Their code-sharing agreements, such as with United, are ineffective. The backend reservation system does not recognize status, including Star Alliance, when booking or selecting seats. Passengers must still pay for seats, and obtaining receipts or making changes through the app is challenging. The app and website are outdated compared to competitive airlines, including those in the US. Hold times for their main line and airport agents are generally long, and the agents often treat passengers as distractions rather than the primary focus.
"Thank you AC !"
That's a truly heartwarming review — not only did you experience improved service from Air Canada, but your generous gesture toward the couple flying coach really stands out. It's refreshing to see someone acknowledge when a company steps up after a previous complaint, and even more so to pay it forward in such a thoughtful way.
"Mostly positive experience with Air Canada flights.."
I recently took two flights with Air Canada after several years and wasn't sure what to expect, especially given the mixed reviews. However, after some disappointing experiences with Porter, I decided it was time to try another airline. Despite a few-hour delay on my August flight from Halifax to Toronto, I still made it home on schedule. Although my suitcase missed the connection, I was impressed when it was delivered to my home—70 miles from the airport—the very next morning. That level of service was truly appreciated. My January flight was slightly delayed, but I made my connection without issue. The check-in staff were excellent—friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the in-flight experience was less positive. I needed help retrieving my backpack from the overhead bin (placed there by another passenger since I was seated in the first row without under-seat storage), but the flight attendant was reluctant to assist. Overall, I gave 4 stars instead of 5 due to that lack of attentiveness on board. Still, I had a generally positive experience and would consider flying Air Canada again.
"Getting Better"
Since the 1990s, flying with Air Canada often felt like a glimpse into what travel hell might be. However, on my recent trip to Las Vegas—flying there with WestJet and returning with Air Canada—I was surprised to find that WestJet has now taken the lead in delivering an even worse customer experience. Years of corporate ambition seem to have pushed WestJet past Air Canada in the race to the bottom. If you can drive, do it. But if you're forced to fly and your only option is a Canadian airline, Air Canada may now be the lesser evil. Sadly, it feels like Canadian airlines are in competition to see who can frustrate passengers the most with poor service, hidden fees, and general indifference. At this point, WestJet is winning—but I wouldn’t be surprised if both are brainstorming new ways to disappoint travelers.
"Simply the best!"
Currently en route from Dublin to Toronto, and I have to say—I’ve never experienced service like this on any flight, anywhere. As a Super Elite flyer who regularly travels with various airlines, I’ve seen a lot, but Lizette in Business Class has truly set a new standard. Her service is nothing short of exceptional—above and beyond in every way. Her genuine kindness, attentiveness, and remarkable patience with senior passengers (not us… yet!) stood out immediately. I watched her interact with other guests, and it’s clear this level of care is just who she is. Lizette is the kind of employee who should be the model for customer service in any organization. I spent 15 minutes just thinking about how I'd love to recruit her for my own company. Air Canada—look after her well, or someone like me might just try to hire her away!
"Great Ground Stafff at Pearson Int Toronto"
A special shout-out to Anusha Lakkoju, ground staff at Pearson International Airport in Toronto, for going above and beyond at the check-in gate! We encountered some issues with our luggage, and Anusha handled the situation with professionalism, calmness, and a genuinely friendly attitude. Her support made a stressful moment so much easier. Thank you, Anusha!
"Average and a bit of bore airline"
The overall service was average, with inflight catering that felt more appropriate for a budget airline—limited and underwhelming. The entertainment selection was also disappointing, with mostly older movies and little variety. Air Canada has some work to do if it hopes to compete with world-class carriers. If you have other options, you might want to consider them.
