"Exceptional Service Experience at PIA District Sales Office"
I recently had the pleasure of visiting the PIA District Sales Office, and my experience was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist, whose friendly demeanor set the tone for the exceptional service that followed. What impressed me most was the professionalism and expertise of the staff. They were highly knowledgeable about the products and services offered, patiently addressing all my questions and ensuring I had a clear understanding of my options. Their ability to explain complex information with ease left me feeling confident and well-informed in my decisions. The office itself was impeccably maintained and thoughtfully organized. Its clean and inviting atmosphere reflected a strong commitment to professionalism. From the comfortable seating arrangements to the well-placed signage, every detail seemed designed with customer convenience in mind. The complimentary refreshments in the waiting area were an especially considerate touch, adding to the welcoming environment. What truly set this office apart was the personalized service I received. The team took time to understand my needs and preferences, offering tailored recommendations that made me feel like a valued customer rather than just another transaction. Their attentiveness and patience were refreshing in today’s often rushed world. The efficiency with which my requests were handled was equally remarkable. The entire process, from paperwork to documentation, was seamless and well-organized. Everything was processed swiftly and accurately, eliminating the usual stress that can accompany such tasks. Above all, the customer service was exemplary. Every staff member I interacted with was approachable, professional, and genuinely dedicated to ensuring my satisfaction. Their efforts to accommodate my needs and provide a smooth experience earned my trust and appreciation. In conclusion, my visit to the PIA District Sales Office was a delightful experience. With their knowledgeable staff, personalized attention, and efficient service, this office sets a high standard for customer care. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking reliable and customer-focused service, and I am confident they will continue to exceed expectations.
"Disappointed with Service and Office Conditions"
I had a very disappointing experience at this office. The office is located in an old building, and as soon as I entered, there was an unpleasant smell. The furniture is also very outdated and poorly maintained, which added to the negative impression. I went there to change my ticket date and was told they would charge me 11,200 for each ticket. However, when I later visited the airport branch, I was informed that the date change was completely free. I was shocked and confused as to why the office staff had asked me for money in the first place. On a positive note, the planes themselves are still good for travel and offer a relaxing experience. I have flown with them many times and have generally enjoyed the flights.
"Poor Service and Unnecessary Extra Charges"
When I visited the office, there was no waiting, yet the staff at the desk seemed unwilling to assist me. They kept pointing to each other, trying to avoid attending to my request. Eventually, I was able to get my tickets, but to my disappointment, there were two typos in three tickets—even though I had provided them with my CNIC for accuracy. They also charged me over 3,000 PKR per ticket for three people, which meant I ended up paying significantly more than I would have if I had purchased the tickets through a travel agent. To make matters worse, buying tickets online isn’t a better option either. Since PIA’s merchant account is based outside Pakistan, any online transaction is processed in foreign currency. This means the bank adds extra charges like exchange fees and withholding tax, making online purchases even more expensive. Overall, this was a frustrating experience, and I feel the system needs serious improvement to ensure fairness and proper customer service.
"Saddened by the Decline of a Once-Great Airline"
I was worried about visiting the office, expecting to wait several hours for my turn. Surprisingly, there were no customers there, yet the service was still disappointing. It’s disheartening to see how PIA, once a world-leading airline, is now deteriorating due to corruption and mismanagement. May Allah Almighty protect this prestigious institution from those harming it and help restore it to its former glory. Aameen.
"Spacious Office but Unprofessional Staff Behavior"
Although the office itself is quite large and spacious, the staff felt more like a typical, passive government organization. Most of the counters had no officers present, and the ones who were there seemed more focused on gossiping than attending to customers. While their attitude was acceptable once it was my turn, their overall lack of concern for visitors left a poor impression.
"Ask for Mr. Zahid Iqbal for the Best Assistance"
If you ever face any issues with your seats and need to visit the PIA office, make sure to ask for Mr. Zahid Iqbal. He is extremely cooperative and by far the best person to assist you. The rest of the staff are unlikely to go the extra mile for you, but Mr. Zahid stands out for his helpfulness and professionalism.
"Excellent Service Despite Outdated Office"
I visited early in the morning (around 9:00–9:30 AM) to change my booking dates and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Haider was extremely helpful—he not only assisted in changing my ticket but also guided me on how to request a seat refund for my online booking. He made sure I double-checked all the details before leaving, which I really appreciated. While the office itself could use some updating, the quality of service more than made up for it!
"Friendly Staff but Service Needs Improvement"
The staff could make the experience much better if they worked more efficiently. At times, they seemed to be just passing the time, much like in a typical GPO, which often results in long waits for your turn. On a positive note, the staff’s attitude is friendly and welcoming. I hope they take steps to improve their efficiency and make this a more customer-friendly place in the future.
"Feels Like Stepping Back in Time"
I went to the office to buy tickets but felt as though I had traveled back to the 1980s. The setup and atmosphere seemed outdated and neglected. There were many people waiting to buy tickets, and when I asked someone, they said they had already been waiting for over an hour with no staff around to assist them. When I approached the person at the desk, I was told it was lunch time. The whole experience felt surreal—this place could easily serve as a filming location for a retro movie.
"Efficient Service but a Neglected Office Environment"
The good news first: once we were attended to, the ticketing and payment process was quick and efficient. Having made telephone reservations earlier in the day definitely helped, as the staff already had all our passenger and ID details ready. We paid smoothly by credit card. However, accessing the building was a challenge. The pavement outside was crowded with dozens of parked motorcycles, making it far from pedestrian-friendly. Inside, the office felt like a time capsule. The dim lighting couldn’t hide the dirt and grime—greasy windows, tacky paper sheets pasted on walls (complete with typos), and an overall run-down appearance. It was a sad-looking place that could really use some care and attention.
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA)
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is the flag carrier of Pakistan, with its primary hub at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, and additional hubs at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore and Islamabad International Airport. Originally founded on 29 October 1946 as Orient Airways in Calcutta, British India, it moved operations to Pakistan in August 1947 following the country’s independence. It was later nationalized and rebranded as Pakistan International Airlines Corporation (PIAC). PIA began its international services in 1955, flying to London via Cairo and Rome, and in 1964, it became the first non-Communist airline to fly to China. PIA also played a pivotal role in helping launch Emirates in 1985 and made aviation history in 2005 when it operated the world's longest nonstop commercial flight (22 hours and 22 minutes) from Hong Kong to London using a Boeing 777-200LR, which it had launched as the first customer in 2004.
