"It was ok. Hard landings, always. Kept changing itinerary"

The airline is a bit of a hit or miss. Our morning flight from Bangkok to Chiang Mai was cancelled without any prior notice — we only found out at the airport. The one redeeming factor was that they quickly rebooked us on a later flight the same day, so we still arrived on time. The return flight wasn’t cancelled but was delayed. On both trips, the landings were extremely rough — possibly the same pilot each time. Overall, the flights were comparable to Cebu Pacific or Air Asia: affordable, but you get what you pay for.

"Good domestic Thai low cost carrier"

We flew Nok Air round-trip from Bangkok (BKK) to Chiang Mai as a family of five (with teenage kids), traveling with carry-on only — five backpacks and two small carry-on suitcases. The outbound flight to Chiang Mai was on time, and there were no issues with our baggage at check-in. The return flight to Bangkok was delayed by about 40 minutes due to the late arrival of the aircraft, but many other airlines experienced delays around the same time as well. Boarding and deplaning went smoothly on both flights. Ground staff and cabin crew were professional and friendly throughout. Overall, it was exactly what you'd expect from a low-cost carrier — no better or worse than similar airlines. I would fly Nok Air again without hesitation. We also booked directly on the Nok Air website to avoid any problems that sometimes come with third-party booking sites.

"Best Service and fastest Check in"

We arrived less than 2 hours before departure, but the check-in and security process was so professional and efficient that we were through with an hour to spare before boarding. The service onboard was also very good. I was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience!

"First time experience was not pleasant."

I decided to try Nok Air over AirAsia to see the difference, but I was quite disappointed. Our onward flight was delayed by over 45 minutes, and to make matters worse, there was a last-minute gate change. There was no announcement about the change until just 10 minutes before boarding, so we had to rush across the airport to the new gate.

"Safe Arrival"

This was my first flight with Nok Air. Unfortunately, the Boeing 737 seemed quite old, both inside and out. The aircraft looked like it hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned in years, and some seats were visibly torn. However, the highlight of the flight was definitely the crew—they were genuinely friendly and provided excellent service.

"the budget airline"

Nok Air is one of the best budget airlines. When booking, make sure to review the fare options carefully—they offer multiple choices, including fares with checked luggage or hand luggage only. It's a great way to tailor your ticket to your needs and avoid unexpected fees.

"Cheap and on time"

Flew from Bangkok to Chiang Mai—flight was on time, the plane was clean, and the cabin crew were friendly. Overall, a smooth and pleasant experience. I would definitely fly with Nok Air again.

"travel during raining season"

I was a bit nervous about traveling during the rainy season, but luckily the weather wasn’t too windy. The crew announced weather updates during the flight, which was reassuring. Nok Air staff were helpful, and our trip went smoothly from beginning to end.

"Very good flight"

It was a busy flight, but the boarding process was quick. The staff were very friendly and efficient. However, I noticed that no one seemed to have their cabin baggage weighed or measured. I had opted to pay for ours to go in the hold, so it's worth keeping in mind that while the flight might sound cheap, you may end up paying extra for baggage.

"Great Budget Airline"

We flew three segments with Nok Air in January 2020, and all three flights were on time. We used them for our trip to Phuket as well. I should note that we paid extra for preferred seats and Nok First Priority Boarding at the time of booking, along with paying for excess baggage. Even with all the add-ons, it was still a very reasonably priced way to travel. The flight attendants were polite and fun, and the captain made announcements in both Thai and English. The aircraft was a 737-800 with a high-density economy layout, accommodating 189 seats. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would fly with Nok Air again.
