"Meals could be better"
Overall, the flight was punctual, the attendants were friendly, and we arrived safely. The in-flight meal from Iraq was largely inedible, but the meal from Cairo was decent.
"Travel"
Iraq Airways is the best airline I've ever flown with. For some reason, I always feel safer flying with them than even with Qatar Airways or Turkish Airlines. Their pilots are incredibly skilled—some of the best in the Middle East—and the flights are always smooth with no sudden or uncomfortable movements. I truly trust them every time I travel.
"The worst airline"
This is the worst airline I have ever traveled with. Our flight, originally scheduled for 8:00 PM, was repeatedly delayed without clear communication — we eventually departed at 4:00 AM with no refund, no compensation, and not even an apology. The aircraft itself was in terrible condition: it smelled awful, was clearly poorly maintained, and had zero legroom. It was an old plane and showed it in every way. I would not recommend this airline to anyone.
"Bad airline, not recommended at al"
As an Iraqi traveler, I do not recommend flying with this airline. While the flight itself was new, the staff were extremely unprofessional and the overall service was poor. If you're considering this airline, I strongly advise booking business class only — economy class is simply not worth the hassle. Be prepared for delays at check-in, boarding, and throughout the entire process. Also, flying from Baghdad International Airport (BGW) adds to the frustration — it's easily one of the worst airport experiences I’ve had. Think twice before booking.
"European flights should be like other destinations"
The plane was not very clean, the seats were uncomfortable, and the flight was delayed. The flight attendants also came across as unfriendly. However, on the positive side, I was unexpectedly given a business class seat (though it felt quite similar to economy), and the food was surprisingly delicious. I hope the experience on European routes is better.
"Worst Airline Ever! Worst Customer Service"
Avoid Iraqi Airways at all costs. Not only is the booking process overly complicated, but the airline also shows a complete lack of care for its passengers. I’ve flown with them a few times on domestic routes — they are never on schedule, and they don’t even bother to send notifications or emails about delays or changes. My most recent (and final) experience was a cancelled international flight from Erbil to Cairo — with zero notification. That’s right — they cancelled an international flight and didn’t inform anyone. When I asked for a refund, they casually said, "We don’t refund anymore." No accountability, no compensation, no apology. The management is clearly failing, customer service is non-existent, and it wouldn’t surprise me if this airline goes bankrupt soon. Do yourself a favor and book with any other airline. Iraqi Airways is unreliable, unprofessional, and unsafe from a customer service standpoint.
"Flying with Iraqi Airways is safe because of the experienced pilots, but the plains are a bit uncomfortable"
The pilots are highly experienced, making take-offs and landings feel smooth and stress-free. The crew were friendly and welcoming, displaying both professionalism and the warm Iraqi hospitality that makes passengers feel at ease. However, the aircraft could be more comfortable—the seats are a bit cramped and closely spaced.
"Worst airlines ever traveled with"
Flights are delayed almost every single day, with the minimum delay being 2 hours and some extending up to 15 hours. The cabin crew is arrogant and inattentive, treating passengers as if they’re doing us a favor instead of providing a service. This has been the worst airline experience I’ve ever had in terms of punctuality and customer service. If you are planning to travel to Iraq, do yourself a favor and choose any other airline. You’ll save yourself a lot of stress and frustration.
"Good Enough"
I’d say the service is fair for the price. They offer free meals during the flight and reasonably comfortable economy seating, which is a good value overall.
"They have the airplanes but not the crew yet!"
As a relatively young airline, the planes are new and well-maintained. However, due to the owner's strict pricing policy, ticket prices are higher than expected and not very competitive. Additionally, the crew members are new to the industry, so the level of hospitality is limited—sometimes you won’t even get a friendly smile.
"good timing, nice food, with no entertainment facilities"
Good flight timing and nice food, though there was no in-flight entertainment. Iraqi Airways is showing improvement over time, but there’s still room for further development in its overall services.
"Iraqi Airways"
The trip was good overall. The crew were professional, and the hospitality was commendable. They handled everything well and treated passengers with respect.
"Domestic flight, departed on time, fresh plane"
Overall, this was a positive experience. The plane was in decent condition and departed on time. Catering was acceptable for a domestic flight. While the booking process was a bit challenging, it eventually worked out through their website. The internet outages during booking weren’t the fault of Iraqi Airways.
