"A Delightful Experience of Authentic Indian Flavors with Excellent Service"
This fantastic spot offers authentic Indian cuisine that truly delights the palate! Although the menu is focused on a selection of famous Indian dishes, every item we tried—from starters to mains and drinks—was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, perfectly balanced, and genuinely captured the essence of Indian cooking. The ambiance stands out with a unique blend of Indian and English styles, creating a culturally rich and inviting atmosphere. The décor enhances the experience, making it ideal for a cozy and memorable meal. Special thanks to Amelia, who was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the menu. Her friendly demeanor, excellent recommendations, and efficient service made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
"A Consistent Favorite – Dishoom Never Disappoints"
I visit Dishoom every time I come to London – it’s definitely one of my favorite spots! The Chicken Ruby and Okra Fries are absolute must-tries, bursting with rich and memorable flavors. This time, I also tried the samosas; they were good, though the pastry was a bit thicker than I anticipated. Despite that, the atmosphere and food consistently impress. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine with a great vibe!
"Great for Most, but Limited Options for Coeliac Guests"
When I visited a year ago, I would have given Dishoom 5 stars without hesitation. However, on this recent visit with my kids, including my daughter who is coeliac, I was disappointed. I had noted her dietary restriction when making the reservation, expecting a good variety of gluten-free options since there was a box to tick for that. Unfortunately, the menu offered only 3-4 dishes suitable for her. For those without dietary restrictions, Dishoom remains a great choice with delicious food and a vibrant atmosphere. But if you have serious dietary needs like coeliac disease, be aware the options are very limited. Coming all the way from Slovenia as food lovers, this was a bit of a letdown.
"Delicious Food and Warm Hospitality – A Must-Try!"
I really enjoyed both the food and atmosphere here! The host and servers were exceptionally kind, making the experience even better. I tried a couple of appetizers that were new to me, and I genuinely liked them. We waited outside for about 45 minutes without a reservation, but they kindly brought us warm chai while we waited, which was a lovely touch. Locals and staff describe the menu as a collection of small plates and recommend about three dishes per person. Since we were just two, we ended up over-ordering once the food arrived — the portion sizes reminded me of those back home in the US, where we usually take leftovers. If you’re unsure how much to order, it’s better to start small and add more if needed. Despite that, we were very happy with everything we ordered because it was delicious. Enjoy!
"Disappointing Experience – Felt Rushed and Underwhelmed"
We were really looking forward to this visit and had high expectations, but the experience fell flat almost immediately. The first thing the receptionist told us was, “We need the table back at 6:30,” and it was only 5:00 PM! There’s nothing quite like feeling rushed before you’ve even sat down. The food was completely average—nothing special and certainly not worth all the hype. The service was okay, but since we were in and out so quickly, it hardly mattered. By 5:50 PM, we were done—less than an hour for what was meant to be an enjoyable meal. If you want to savor your food without feeling pressured by the clock, this is not the place for you.

Dishoom is a popular walk-in café inspired by the old Irani cafés of Bombay, warmly welcoming guests without the need for reservations. While walk-ins are encouraged at any time, reservations are accepted for groups of any size during the day. In the evenings, after 6pm, bookings are available for parties of six or more.
