"Unique Flavors and a Lovely Evening, but Seating Could Improve"
The dishes and flavors here are truly special—definitely not your everyday meal. I loved how beautifully the food was presented. The fish we had was simply “wow.” Overall, we had a very enjoyable evening. However, I have to deduct one star because we were initially seated right next to the kitchen, despite having a reservation and other tables being available. Additionally, we were reminded before dessert that we’d need to leave within 15 minutes due to the next booking, which slightly disrupted the experience.
"Magical Cocktails and Tender Goat, but Some Dishes Disappointed"
The cocktails and beef tendon crisps were absolutely magical, and the spiced goat was surprisingly tender—better than I ever thought goat could be. However, there were some notable letdowns: the hispi slaw was just an uninspiring pile of shredded leaves, and the “forbidden rice” didn’t live up to the XO flavors promised on the menu. Desserts also fell short—a chocolate arepa was oddly greasy yet dry, and the frozen marshmallow had a strange flavor reminiscent of cleaning products. On the bright side, the staff were pleasant and service was prompt, and the house white wine was delicious.

Dining here feels like a carousel of flavors swirling delightfully in your mouth.

I really love the atmosphere and friendly service at this restaurant. Dishes arrived quickly, yet you still have plenty of time to savor them. The portions are very generous and packed with great flavors, though some dishes might feel a bit heavy on oil. Overall, it’s a spot I’d gladly revisit with friends, especially for the relaxed vibe, the open kitchen, and the genuinely welcoming staff.
"Disappointing Anniversary Dinner Marred by Noise, Service Issues, and Lack of Acknowledgment"
What was meant to be a special anniversary dinner sadly turned into a frustrating experience. Despite reaching out to the Restaurant Manager, Fernando, six weeks ago with detailed feedback and following up once, I never received a response—disappointing for such a highly rated venue. The evening was disrupted early on by the loud coffee machine located just behind my seat, making it impossible to hear my partner and breaking the intimate atmosphere. The table setting left much to be desired: breadcrumbs remained on the table between courses, it wasn’t wiped clean before new plates were placed, and when our cutlery was cleared after the second course, no fresh set was provided for the main, causing the food to cool while we tried to flag down staff. Our waitress serving the third course forgot to mention one of the five ingredients and made no effort to clarify it afterward, which felt careless for a restaurant with such a reputation. Additionally, staff frequently smoked near the entrance visible from our table, which was unpleasant and raised hygiene concerns. Lastly, despite noting our anniversary in the reservation, none of the staff acknowledged or celebrated the occasion in any way, leaving us feeling unappreciated. Given these issues and the lack of response from management, I won’t be returning under the current leadership.

Scully is hands down my favorite restaurant—not just in London, but overall! It masterfully combines classic and unique flavors that keep you eager to return and explore dishes you missed last time. The tasting menu is a must-try, and if you’re dining as a pair, the vegan and vegetarian options are definitely worth ordering too. Their wine selection and pairings are fantastic, perfectly complementing the meal. On top of that, the team’s service is both warm and professional, making every visit a memorable experience.
