"Great Food and Atmosphere, Service Could Be More Attentive"
The food here is genuinely impressive—every dish we tried was delicious, with the suckling pig standing out as an unexpected highlight thanks to its unique preparation. The overall vibe of the restaurant is warm and inviting, making for an enjoyable dining experience. While the service wasn’t poor and the staff were polite, it did lack attentiveness at times, which slightly took away from the otherwise excellent visit.
"Efficient Yet Heartless—A Disappointing Dining Experience"
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt rushed and unwelcoming. Despite our reservation, we were left lingering at the bar while staff dashed by without a glance. When we were finally seated, there was no greeting—only the sense that we were a nuisance. Ordering wine offered no guidance or tastings; our waiter simply took our choice and returned the menus without a word. Our pheasant croquettes arrived quickly but were bland, and they were cleared the instant our plates were empty, as if we were on a strict timer. The truffle linguine main was equally lackluster—lukewarm pasta with scarce truffle shavings and no real depth of flavor. By then, dessert felt out of the question. As we departed, no one even noticed us, underscoring the restaurant’s efficient yet impersonal approach. In a city celebrated for its warm hospitality and vibrant cuisine, this soulless experience falls well short.
"A Must-Visit Culinary Gem in Madrid – Ten con Ten Delivers on Every Level"
My experience at Ten con Ten in Madrid was truly outstanding from start to finish. The moment I entered, I was struck by the vibrant yet refined ambiance—an ideal blend of modern elegance and cozy charm. Whether you're planning an intimate dinner or a lively evening out, the atmosphere sets the perfect tone. The menu showcases an inspired mix of traditional Spanish cuisine and creative flair. I began with the truffle croquettes, which were perfectly crisp on the outside and luxuriously creamy within—pure indulgence. The Iberian pork with honey-mustard glaze was a highlight, cooked flawlessly and bursting with flavor. I ended with the chocolate fondant, a rich and decadent dessert that left a lasting impression. Service was exceptional throughout. The staff was not only professional and attentive, but genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. Their recommendations enhanced the experience, and their detailed explanations of each dish added a personal touch. What makes Ten con Ten truly special is the energy—it’s more than a meal, it’s an experience that embodies the vibrant spirit of Madrid. With outstanding food, impeccable service, and an inviting atmosphere, it’s a restaurant that exceeds expectations on every front. I wholeheartedly recommend Ten con Ten to anyone visiting Madrid. Whether you’re a devoted foodie or just looking for a memorable evening, this is a dining destination that should not be missed. I can’t wait to return.
"A Dynamic Dining Gem in Madrid—with One Sour Note at the End"
One of the most renowned and dynamic restaurants in Madrid, this spot pulses with an energy that’s hard to find elsewhere. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is captivating—elegant yet effortlessly cool, with a buzz that sets the tone for an unforgettable evening. The large central bar is a highlight, ideal for enjoying a pre-dinner drink while soaking in the stylish surroundings. The restaurant’s layout caters to different moods. The main dining room—my favorite—is lively and music-filled, offering a great view of the bustling bar. For those seeking something quieter, two additional sections provide more subdued, intimate settings, perfect for family dinners or a relaxed night out. Service is seamless, with a highly efficient team of waiters keeping things running smoothly. The precision with which tables are reset feels almost choreographed. The food holds its own as well—an impressive array of tapas, seafood, meats, and standout jamón ibérico. While it’s certainly on the pricier side by Madrid standards, it remains a good value when compared to similar high-end dining experiences in cities like Paris. There are, however, a couple of drawbacks. The spacing between tables in some areas is uncomfortably tight. At this level of dining, comfort should be prioritized—even the removal of a single table could make a noticeable improvement. More significantly, a recent experience soured an otherwise perfect evening. I had confirmed in advance that my small, well-behaved dog would be allowed, and dinner went smoothly. But upon leaving, a security staff member abruptly contradicted this, creating an unnecessary scene and speaking rudely and dismissively. It was a disappointing and jarring end to an otherwise flawless night. All in all, this restaurant delivers a top-tier culinary experience with exceptional atmosphere and food—just be prepared for the possibility of a less-than-graceful exit.
"Excellent Service and Quality—Just Watch Out for Extra Charges"
This restaurant easily ranks in the top five for service and quality. The staff is exceptionally kind, courteous, and efficient, with everything running like clockwork. Service is prompt and well-coordinated, creating a smooth and pleasant dining experience. The menu is delicious, with each dish cooked to perfection and full of flavor. However, one downside to note is the additional charges. We were brought a basket of bread and bottled water—without requesting either—and both were added to the bill, even though we didn’t touch them. So while the overall experience is outstanding, it's worth being aware of these extra costs. Plan for a budget of around €50–€60 per person to avoid surprises.
