"Stylish Spot with Great Food and Lively Atmosphere"
This is a very trendy restaurant with a vibrant vibe. The food was excellent, and the service was fairly good throughout the night. The space is quite tight, so be prepared for the dancers to perform very close to your table — adding energy but not much personal space. The food recommendations were spot-on, enhancing the experience. Overall, it’s a great place for a fun and memorable night out in Madrid.
"Memorable Gastronomic Experience with Excellent Service"
We had a very good experience — everything was delicious and the service was excellent. One of the drinks seemed slightly overpriced (€10 for a Petroni served in a vermouth glass), but aside from that, everything was fantastic. The dessert was truly surprising and memorable. It had been a long time since we enjoyed such a pleasant and unique culinary experience.
"Great Service but Underwhelming Experience Overall"
Our visit to SLVJ in Canalejas was decent, but it fell short of expectations for a couple of key reasons. Firstly, the space is quite limited and not especially comfortable, with only a few tables. Thankfully, a very attentive waiter helped us move to a better spot and even offered a complimentary beer — the staff’s friendliness and service were truly outstanding. Secondly, the portion sizes were small relative to the rather high prices, even though the ingredients were clearly of excellent quality. The standout dish was the Japanese tacos — absolutely delicious — while the lobster dumplings were disappointing, coming off dry and lacking flavor. The cocktails also left something to be desired; we expected more in both quality and quantity. All in all, it was a nice evening thanks to the service, but the overall value and experience didn’t quite match our hopes.
"Excellent Food and Service in a Relaxed Setting"
The staff’s attention was excellent, and their recommendations truly enhanced our experience. Every dish we tried was delicious, clearly reflecting the quality of ingredients and the expertise of the kitchen. The mushroom gyozas with truffle were outstanding, and the spicy tuna was equally memorable. The atmosphere was calm and pleasant — perfect for enjoying a quiet and satisfying meal.
"Underwhelming Experience for the Price"
I was expecting something better, but the overall experience was quite ordinary. While it wasn’t bad, it didn’t stand out, especially considering the price — there are definitely better options elsewhere offering more for the same cost.
"Delicious Experience with Top-Notch Service"
A friend recommended this place to us and it truly exceeded expectations! Orlando provided excellent service, and Chef Miguel was fantastic — he suggested we eat until we were full, and every bite was worth it. We started with sushi and small bites, including the mushrooms, all of which were absolutely delicious. A wonderful dining experience all around!
