Arallo delivers a calm yet captivating dining experience just steps away from home. From the moment you step in, the open kitchen draws you into the artistry behind each dish. The food is nothing short of exceptional—every flavor is thoughtfully balanced, making each bite a delight. The staff are warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations that enhance the overall experience. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Arallo is a spot worth revisiting. A truly amazing discovery in Madrid’s vibrant culinary scene.

"A Worthwhile Treat for a Special Occasion"

Arallo isn’t your everyday spot, but it’s definitely worth trying when you're in the mood for something special. The shared plates offer a variety of creative flavors, but the real standout was the duo de croqueta de mejillones—absolutely addictive! You’ll wish you had ordered more. Pair that with a cold Estrella Galicia and you’ve got a winning combo. The atmosphere, inventive dishes, and solid beer selection make Arallo a memorable place to enjoy a unique culinary experience in Madrid.

"Disappointing Culinary Experience Despite One Highlight"

Unfortunately, our dining experience was largely underwhelming, with only one standout dish—the Angus brisket, which was genuinely enjoyable. The rest of the menu fell short in both taste and execution. The pork bao was particularly disappointing: the meat was tough and flavorless, which is surprising considering how much I normally enjoy baos. The grilled bone marrow with meat tartare was a real letdown. The overpowering amount of mustard completely masked any other flavors—it felt like eating mustard in tartare texture, with no hint of bone marrow coming through. To top it off, the dessert was another miss. My boyfriend ordered what appeared to be a tiramisu-like creation. I commented that it might work better as an éclair, only to be told by the waiter that it was an éclair. It would’ve been funny—if it weren’t so disappointing. Overall, aside from the brisket, the dishes lacked balance and finesse, making the experience feel more frustrating than enjoyable.

"A shame for the service"

This wasn’t our first visit, but unfortunately, we noticed a decline this time. While the ingredients remain high-quality and the cuisine continues to be creative and well-executed, the service left much to be desired. The waitstaff were disengaged, offering little to no explanation of the dishes and lacking in recommendations or friendliness. It’s disappointing, as attentive service would have elevated the entire experience. At these price points, the edgy, industrial vibe needs to be complemented by a higher level of professionalism from the staff.

"A Sensory Delight – A Must in Madrid!"

This was my second great discovery on this trip to Madrid, and what a fantastic experience! The lunch was fun, flavorful, and full of curiosity—truly a journey across the taste spectrum. Every dish delighted the palate in a unique way. It was a spectacular experience from start to finish. If you're in Madrid, you absolutely have to go!

"Bold Flavors in a Beautifully Brutalist Setting"

A truly great dining experience! The restaurant’s brutalist décor complements the bold, well-crafted dishes served throughout the meal. Highlights include the bull tail cannelloni—a standout with perfectly made dough and intensely flavorful meat juices—and the bone marrow with tartar, which, while slightly underdone at the core, was still delicious and satisfying. The artichokes deserve special mention: grilled, roasted, and finished in a Josper oven, they achieve an almost meaty richness and melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. The nigiri croquettes are a playful and inventive touch, bursting with flavor in a single bite. To finish, the mille-feuilles dessert impressed with airy whipped cream and a beautifully balanced cinnamon note—deftly handled. Paired with a bottle of Ribera del Duero Tempranillo, the meal was elevated to something truly memorable. Well done!

"We’ll repeat for sure."

The variety and creativity of the cuisine were truly impressive. We were warmly welcomed and each dish was thoroughly explained, including the preparation process, which added to the overall experience. We’ll definitely be returning—Carlos, the maître d’, is a genius, and honestly, the entire team was outstanding.

"Stylish Setting, But Disappointing Value"

Tucked behind Gran Vía, this restaurant boasts a sleek open kitchen and modern design. While the ambiance and friendly service were appreciated, the food unfortunately didn’t live up to the price tag. The tartar stood out as the best of the bunch, but other dishes fell short—especially the 12-hour rib, which was unexpectedly tough and full of gristle. Portions were extremely small, leaving us hungry despite spending over €50 per person. While the concept and presentation show promise, the value for money simply isn’t there. A stylish spot in a great location, but sadly, not one we’d rush back to.
