"Tasty Mix of Peruvian and Italian Flavors at a Fair Price"
The food here was very good, with a nice mix of Peruvian dishes and Italian-inspired options. We tried the surf and turf and the alpaca — both were absolutely delicious! Prices were reasonable and in line with other restaurants around the main square. A great spot if you’re looking for flavorful food with a bit of variety.
"Disorganized Seating, Decent Ceviche, Great Drink"
When I arrived, the host asked me to wait at the bar until a table became available since the restaurant was full. I ordered a drink — which was actually really good — but after some time, I noticed several empty tables around. No one offered me one, so I had to ask again myself to be seated. I ordered the ceviche, which was just okay — definitely not the best I’ve had during my time in Peru. Overall, the experience felt a bit disorganized, though the drink stood out as the highlight.
"Excellent Dining with a View and Outstanding Service"
This spot is an incredibly chill place just steps from the main plaza, offering a stunning view of the cathedral. The service was top-notch — our waiter, Jonathan, was attentive and made sure we were happy throughout the meal. The food was just as impressive. The alpaca steak is a must-try — slightly gamey, which some may really enjoy. The guinea pig was also surprisingly good, with a taste and texture similar to high-quality chicken. We ended the meal with a fantastic dessert that rounded out a flawless experience. Highly recommended for both the food and the atmosphere!
"Tasty Food, But Likely Got Sick from the Scallops"
We thought the food tasted good overall and the service was fine. We shared the scallops as an appetizer and enjoyed them at the time — but unfortunately, both of us ended up with food poisoning later that evening. We're fairly certain the scallops were the cause. A disappointing outcome to an otherwise decent meal.
"Great Find in Cusco with Fresh, Flavorful Tartare"
After exploring the streets of Cusco, this restaurant caught my attention and I decided to give it a try. Despite it being another busy night, the service was solid and the food didn’t disappoint. The standout dish was the tartare — incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor. A great spot to unwind after a day in the city!
"Superb Location, Excellent Service, and Delicious Food"
Inka Grill’s location is unbeatable — right in front of Plaza de Armas in Cusco. The service was top-notch, with the waiters providing attentive and professional care. I ordered a Vin Chaud, which was perfect and comforting after a chilly day in the city. The food was fantastic. We had the fish ceviche, which was far superior to the one we tried at another well-known Cusco restaurant. Prices were moderate and reasonable for the quality. While the ambiance feels more like a cozy local spot than a fine-dining venue, the level of service and food quality definitely matched that of a top restaurant. Absolutely loved this place!
"Shockingly Bad Experience — Avoid at All Costs"
This was, without a doubt, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I’m genuinely baffled how a place serving food of this quality is still operating — or receiving positive reviews. It felt like a tourist trap that prioritized appearance over actual quality. The food was so awful that even the dish they proudly called their "best" — the aji de gallina — was inedible. After just one bite, my body instinctively rejected it. I've had better meals in far less glamorous settings, including a prison visit for a university program. Not only was the food bad, but it also took over an hour and a half to arrive. When it did, it was clearly microwaved, possibly frozen beforehand, and served with zero care. One of my friends ordered corn soup, but what arrived looked and tasted like a bowl of onions — not even close to what was advertised. This experience was so disappointing, we couldn’t even laugh about it afterward. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone — not even my worst enemy
"Surprisingly Great Spot on the Plaza — Excellent Food and Service"
My hotel manager recommended this restaurant, and I was initially hesitant since it's right on Plaza de Armas — often a sign of touristy spots with overpriced, mediocre food. Fortunately, that wasn’t the case at all. Fernando, our server, was fantastic and delivered truly outstanding service. The food and drinks exceeded our expectations — everything was flavorful and well-prepared. We had every intention of trying dessert, but the portions were so generous we were too full to continue! The only downside was the pricing of the water — it was surprisingly more expensive than the mocktail I ordered, which felt a bit off. Aside from that, I’d absolutely recommend this place. A pleasant surprise in the heart of Cusco!
"Great Cocktails, Food Not Quite My Style"
Inka Grill was the first bar/restaurant I visited in Cusco, and I was especially impressed by the drinks. They offer an extensive selection of cocktails and sours, all made fresh with locally sourced ingredients — truly a highlight of the experience. As for the food, it felt a bit too upscale for my personal taste, both in style and price. While it may appeal to others looking for a more refined dining experience, it wasn’t quite the right fit for my palate. That said, it's definitely worth a visit if you're looking for quality drinks in a central location.
"Delicious Food and Outstanding Service"
We had an excellent dining experience! The food was fantastic — I had the surf and turf, and my girlfriend had the valley trout, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The service was just as impressive. Oliver took great care of us and made the evening even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
