"Lovely building and location. Forget the rest."

Let’s start with the positives: the hotel itself is beautiful, and the location is excellent. Unfortunately, that’s where the good points end. The breakfast was, quite frankly, inedible. We’ve stayed in hotels all over the world, but never experienced such a poor offering. The melon appeared to have been left out from the previous day and was a soggy mess. The boiled eggs were either undercooked or completely overdone. For the price of this hotel, the quality of breakfast was unacceptable. Then there are the bar prices—my partner ordered two simple drinks (not even premium options), and the bill came to €36! It felt like a beautiful old building being tarnished by sheer greed. If you can get a nice room at a discounted price and plan to eat out, you might still enjoy your stay. Otherwise, this hotel is unlikely to live up to expectations.

"Great Hotel in Old Town for Couples"

We really enjoyed our stay at Tuvan Hotel and found almost everything to be perfect. The only issue worth mentioning is the “paper-thin” walls—you can hear sounds from the corridors, restaurant, street, and even the kitchen downstairs when plates are being moved or cleaned. Thankfully, we got used to it after the first couple of nights, and it didn’t bother us as much. This is the only reason we’re giving 4 out of 5 stars. Before booking, we read some negative reviews about the restaurant prices being high. In our experience, they were only slightly higher than nearby options—not as expensive as you’d expect from a fine dining restaurant. On all other points, the hotel was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, everything was spotless, and the rooms were both practical and beautifully designed. The location in the old town was perfect—everything was within walking distance, including a variety of restaurants, shops, and even the beach (though it’s not free access). A lovely surprise was the quiet, adult-focused atmosphere. There were no families with young children during our stay, making it an ideal spot for anyone seeking a peaceful break.

"Unique luxury hotel in Altalya’s old town"

This is a wonderful hotel located in the center of Antalya’s Old Town, set within a series of beautifully remodeled Ottoman houses. The room was spacious, comfortable, and full of unique character. The staff were welcoming and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. Breakfasts at the hotel’s outstanding restaurant were generous and absolutely delicious. Highly recommended for anyone seeking charm and comfort in an ideal location.

"Tired and neglected"

This hotel could be truly wonderful, as it’s full of character and set in a gorgeous location. The staff are friendly, attentive, and clearly doing their best under the circumstances. Unfortunately, the property is starved of funds and attention, and it shows in many ways. The owner seems to be living off the hotel’s original glory rather than investing in proper upkeep. Our room had an elegant feel, but the net curtains were filthy and torn, and the window panes hadn’t been cleaned (see photos). Even when we were upgraded to a larger, lighter room, there were noticeable issues—fittings splitting, and much of the furniture, while styled to look old and grand, was in reality cheap and flimsy beneath the surface. Around the pool, the garden setting is lovely, but the sun umbrellas are rusted and fraying—something that could easily be fixed with minimal investment. Practical issues were also frustrating, like a shower head that wouldn’t stay in place and no plug for the sink. The penny pinching extends to the breakfast as well. The orange juice was barely better than orange squash, and the cereal was basic and stale—despite higher quality options being readily available in local supermarkets. To their credit, when we raised concerns, the staff tried to make amends with small touches like freshly squeezed juice and fresh fruit in our room. But these gestures didn’t address the root problem: a lack of willingness to spend on proper maintenance and delivering a quality experience. This hotel markets itself as a high-end international destination with prices to match. Sadly, it fails to live up to that promise because of poor upkeep and cost-cutting.

"Cozy good atmosphere and delicious vegetarian food"

We stayed for a week in September and absolutely loved our first experience in the Old Town and at Hotel Tuvana. The hotel delivered everything we hoped for—cozy ambiance, excellent service, and delicious vegetarian food. It’s centrally located with easy access to the town and nearby parks, making it the perfect base for exploring. We’ve already booked our next holiday here in 2024 and can’t wait to return!

"A strong choice for an enjoyable holiday"

Tuvana is a wonderful hotel perfectly located in the center of Antalya’s Old Town. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay while still being close to vibrant restaurants and bars, this is the place. It’s just 30 minutes from the airport and costs around 80 Lira (£9.50) by private taxi. Check-in was quick and efficient, and I was promptly shown to my room in one of the adjoining blocks. The room, though compact, was thoughtfully designed with a comfortable double bed, ample wardrobe and shelf space, and a desk with power sockets—ideal for recharging devices or catching up on work. The bathroom included quality amenities and luxurious shower products. Wi-Fi was free and fast (25-40mbps), great for uploading photos or streaming. My rate included breakfast in the main restaurant. While the buffet selection wasn’t overly inspiring and service was on the slow side, the coffee and cheese omelette more than made up for it—they were both excellent. It’s not ideal if you’re in a rush, but it’s a lovely spot to plan your day over coffee in the morning sun. The hotel also features a small, well-maintained swimming pool with comfortable loungers—perfect for unwinding with a book. Though the poolside bar wasn’t staffed when I visited, I’m sure drinks could be ordered if requested. As someone who usually stays in larger hotels, the intimate atmosphere here (with just around 40 rooms) was a refreshing change. The location is fantastic, with the Old Town’s shops, restaurants, and bars all nearby. The public beach is just a 10-minute walk, and sun loungers are very affordable at £3 for the day. Despite the breakfast being a little underwhelming, the overall experience was delightful. I would happily return to Tuvana for its charm, excellent location, and relaxing vibe.

"Massive hotel rip off during vacation!!"

When we first arrived, everything seemed fine, even though our taxi driver didn’t know where to take us. We spent nearly two hours driving around until he eventually decided to leave us on the street because he claimed the roads were too narrow. Thankfully, we insisted he call another taxi, and we finally arrived at the hotel—though even then, it was hard to locate the reception desk. We had planned a week-long holiday to celebrate my finishing radiation therapy. Initially, things were okay until one morning, my husband slipped in the shower, fell, and accidentally cracked a small section of the plywood wardrobe door as he tried to break his fall. When he reported the incident to the front desk, the staff member assured him not to worry, saying, “these doors only look expensive but are actually cheap fake wood.” He estimated the repair cost at about 190 Turkish Lira (~€6.50) and advised us to pay at check-out. We agreed, trusting this would be straightforward. However, the next day, the hotel manager approached us and demanded immediate payment for the damage. To our shock, the cost had suddenly escalated from 190 Turkish Lira to 190 Euros (over 5,400 Turkish Lira). This was an outrageous and unjustified increase. What made it worse: The manager claimed the doors were expensive and needed a special repairman. In reality, they replaced both doors (not just the cracked one) with mirrored glass, which seemed unnecessary. The so-called repairman had been staying near the hotel all week, so there’s no way they incurred high transport costs as claimed. They even “repaired” the minibar closet with a makeshift fix (photos attached), further proving they likely cut corners while charging us excessively. I tried to discuss this with the manager, but as a woman, I felt dismissed and unable to negotiate with him. The whole situation felt like a deliberate rip-off. On top of that, the rooms were poorly maintained and dusty, with no evidence of vacuuming during our stay. The hotel’s location and price might seem attractive, but I cannot recommend it in good faith. Our experience left us feeling cheated and frustrated, and we will never return.

"Tuvana Treat"

This beautiful old manor is a true gem, set within lush, peaceful gardens that make it the perfect place to unwind and de-stress. The location is fantastic—right in the heart of the Old Town—giving you easy access to everything. The rooms were comfortable, cleaned daily, and had a lovely authentic charm. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, offering a wonderful spread each morning. The pool area was lovely too, ideal for relaxing. The staff were warm and friendly, adding to the overall welcoming atmosphere. A fantastic stay in a unique setting—I’d highly recommend it!

"Decent stay, cold welcome"

The stay was decent overall, but there were several letdowns. The hotel is poorly signposted—I didn’t see a single sign with the hotel name. Upon arrival, we were met with a rather cold welcome. We arrived early and were told check-in wasn’t until 2 PM, despite the place being completely empty. There was no offer to use the facilities beforehand. We decided to sit by the pool but didn’t feel particularly welcome. There was no offer of pool towels, WiFi information, or even a drinks list. The mattresses on the pool beds were not great either—and notably, these aren’t shown in the hotel’s photos. The room had no complimentary water, which felt like a small but significant oversight. Overall, the hotel felt overpriced compared to other similar local options.
