"Good hotel in a good location, but the staff could do better"

We stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Antalya for three nights. The location is convenient, about a 30-minute walk to the Kaleiçi area. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, but far too hot and stuffy. We couldn’t lower the temperature, and the air conditioning (cooling) never came on. Opening the balcony door was the only solution, which isn’t ideal. Breakfast was adequate, but several items had already run out by 9:30 AM, and staff showed little interest in replenishing them. Overall, service in the restaurant felt indifferent. We dined at the Gao Club restaurant one evening. The food selection wasn’t extensive, but there was enough variety for a meal or two, and the quality was decent. Housekeeping was inconsistent. On the first two days, we received fresh towels, coffee, and water, but on the last day, neither water nor coffee was replenished. The most disappointing aspect was the lack of care at reception. When we inquired about a doctor for a minor illness (cough and cold, not an emergency), we expected some guidance or assistance. Instead, we were simply given the name of a hospital and told, “Sorry, no doctor details.” Most quality hotels usually have a list of emergency contacts, including nearby doctors or clinics, readily available. While the lobby and room were pleasant, the overall experience was let down by the indifferent attitude of some staff members. With better service and more attention to guest needs, this hotel could live up to its potential.

"Before &After"

I stayed at this hotel for 28 days in March and April 2024 and was so pleased with the experience that I returned in June 2024 for another night. During my earlier visits, everything was excellent: the breakfast was high quality, housekeeping was meticulous, and from room service to the rooftop seating areas, everything was spotless. However, during my most recent visit in April 2025 for two nights, I noticed a decline in service standards. While breakfast maintained the same level of quality, other services were disappointing. The room smelled unpleasant, housekeeping was unhelpful, and the standard cleaning I had experienced before was missing entirely. It’s disappointing to see such inconsistency, especially after such a great first impression.

"Rude staffs, not recommended."

At check-in, the front desk didn’t ask whether we preferred points or breakfast as Gold members. I had to remind the staff that we wanted breakfast and was given drink chits as part of the Gold benefits. Later, we visited the “Gao” club and handed the drink chits to the staff when ordering. To our surprise, we were lectured that only non-alcoholic drinks were included. When we finished and tried to leave, the staff suddenly yelled at us, accusing us of not paying and demanded a signature. I calmly explained that we had already handed in the chits. The bartender, who had misplaced them right in front of him, eventually found them—yet offered no apology for his behavior. This was from the senior bartender serving on May 9. Breakfast service was equally strange for Gold members. Typically, staff check you off the list when you request breakfast as part of the benefits. However, in this case, they didn’t even bother acknowledging us once they saw my Gold card folio—there was zero service throughout. It’s clear this hotel caters primarily to Chinese guests, as reflected in their club’s branding. I understand Gold status is more accessible in certain regions, but that should never excuse rude behavior toward guests. Hilton Honors provides direct reimbursement for Gold benefits, so there is no excuse for the dismissive attitude we experienced. Overall, I cannot recommend this property for loyal Hilton members expecting proper recognition and professional service.

"Good Experience"

The hotel is relatively new, and the lobby is spacious, modern, and well maintained. Check-in was very smooth, and the staff were accommodating whenever I had questions or needed assistance. The room was clean and tidy overall, but there were a few small details that could be improved. For example, the bathroom door knob was loose and detached several times, the curtains had a missing clip, and some amenities were not provided, such as a bathrobe, a complete vanity kit, or even a toothbrush and toothpaste. On the positive side, the breakfast was diverse and of good quality. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and would consider staying again, especially if the minor room issues are addressed.

"Well,"

We stayed at the Holiday Hotel. While the cleanliness was good, the elevator was out of service during our stay, which made the experience quite unpleasant—especially with the hotel being full. It felt overcrowded, like a subway at rush hour. Breakfast was average at best, and much of the food was less than warm and disappeared quickly without being replenished. Overall, the hotel needs to improve its maintenance and service quality to match guest expectations.

"Worst DoubleTree Ever"

We would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The experience was beyond disappointing. The air conditioning didn’t work during our entire stay, leaving the room unbearably hot and uncomfortable. When we reported the issue, the staff dismissed our concerns and casually told us to “open the windows.” To make matters worse, the windows did nothing to block out the noise. Being right next to a busy highway, we endured constant traffic, honking, and blaring police sirens all night long. It felt like trying to sleep in the middle of the road. This hotel fails on even the most basic standards of comfort and service. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy sleepless, stressful nights.

"Bad experience"

Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of shocking. The customer relations manager—a female employee—displayed an extremely aggressive, rude, and even threatening attitude toward my friend, with whom I was staying. While he calmly tried to explain an issue he had encountered, she escalated the situation unnecessarily, calling security and shouting: “Get this client out!” She even went so far as to threaten to call the police, treating him as if he were a danger. The head of security was equally intimidating, adopting a confrontational stance and appearing ready to resort to physical intervention at any moment. Meanwhile, the front desk staff showed complete indifference and disrespect. Instead of working to resolve problems, this hotel seems to have a deeply ingrained culture of treating guests as adversaries rather than valued clients. If you are seeking a pleasant, respectful, and peaceful stay, I strongly urge you to avoid this property. Respect, customer care, and guest safety are, unfortunately, completely absent here.

"Can be improved"

This hotel seemed like the perfect place to unwind from the stress of work, and in some ways, it delivered. The breakfast was good, and the restrooms were clean and well-maintained. However, our stay was completely overshadowed by a major issue. At 6 a.m. on May 26, 2024, an alarm suddenly went off announcing, “Attention, the hotel must be immediately cleared.” All guests were evacuated using the fire staircase, yet no staff member provided any explanation or even offered an apology afterward. This level of disorganization and lack of communication from the hotel was extremely disappointing. What was meant to be a relaxing escape turned into a stressful experience on our only day off. Such behavior reflects poorly on the hotel’s professionalism and care for its guests.

"Comfortable Stay with Excellent Food, But Lacked Some Basics"

Overall, our stay at the hotel was really enjoyable. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the breakfast was absolutely amazing with a fantastic variety of options. We also thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant — the food was delicious and well-prepared. However, a few details left us slightly disappointed. Although we were eligible, we weren’t offered any team member discount for the bar or restaurant, and when we inquired about it, our request was rejected, which was disheartening. The room assigned to us also appeared to be designed for guests with disabilities, which wasn’t ideal for our stay. Additionally, we missed the little welcome touches like the signature cookies (which we were expecting) and found that basic amenities such as a toothbrush and toiletries were missing from the room. A few small touches and more attentive service in these areas could have elevated the experience from good to excellent.

"Very convenient high quality doubletree"

We recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Antalya and had a truly fantastic experience. This is a high-quality hotel that fully lives up to the DoubleTree name. One of the best aspects is its location — being so close to the Old Town made exploring the area incredibly convenient, and we loved being able to walk there. The hotel offers two pools: one heated, which was perfect for the cooler mornings, and another at normal temperature for sunny afternoons. It also felt very family-friendly, with plenty of space and a relaxed atmosphere that made our stay easy and enjoyable with kids. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of variety, fresh ingredients, and attentive service. The staff even helped us arrange a local tour, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. Overall, I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Antalya. It’s well-priced for the level of comfort, location, and service you get — a great choice for couples, families, or anyone looking for a stress-free stay.

"Need improvement on room service"

I would rate this hotel a solid four stars, mainly because of the room upgrade we received, which was a nice gesture. However, the hotel is lacking in several areas and doesn’t quite meet the DoubleTree standards we’ve come to expect. The biggest issue was with room service and housekeeping. On the first day, no toothbrushes were provided. After calling to request them, only two were brought even though we asked for four (as we had two connected rooms for the kids). The other two never arrived, and we were too tired to follow up again. On the second day, we returned from a trip to find no bath towels in one room and only one towel in the other. We had to request them separately. We also noticed there was no bath mat provided at all. It’s the first time we’ve experienced such lapses at a DoubleTree property. The first night was disturbed by loud noise from neighboring rooms, but thankfully the second night was quiet. Breakfast was underwhelming at first, but we later discovered we could request freshly made omelets, which improved the experience slightly. On the positive side, the hotel’s location is excellent, and the concierge (a tall, big gentleman) was wonderful — very friendly and helpful in recommending restaurants nearby. Overall, it’s a nice hotel with potential, but the service and attention to detail are not quite at the Hilton level. A little more focus on consistency could make this property a much better experience.
