"A Hidden Gem in the Mountains"
This amazing place is truly off the beaten track — the road leading there is narrow and winding, so do take care, but the destination is absolutely worth the effort. From the moment we arrived, we were given a warm welcome and experienced excellent service throughout. The atmosphere is peaceful and laid-back, with breathtaking views of the lush, green mountains all around. Our room had a charming rustic feel, yet came equipped with all the standard amenities and a sleek, modern bathroom featuring a spacious shower. Everything was spotlessly clean, making for a very comfortable and memorable stay.
"Unprofessional and Frustrating Experience – Avoid"
This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve encountered. I called ahead to inquire about availability and was told there were plenty of rooms for the day. They asked for my number and promised to call me back shortly. Trusting their word, I began driving toward the property. After 45 minutes and no callback, I contacted them again just five minutes away from their location. Shockingly, they claimed they had tried calling me multiple times — which simply wasn’t true. Then they informed me they had decided to close the hotel for the day. Strangely, the property was still available for same-day booking on several hotel websites. The management was dismissive and unprofessional. My honest advice: don’t waste your time or energy — steer clear of this place.

We just spent three wonderful days at the Avena Boutique Mountain Hotel and were thoroughly impressed. The setting is incredibly peaceful, surrounded by tranquil forests and stunning mountain views. The owners and staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming—offering truly personable service where nothing was too much trouble. The food was another highlight: fresh from the farm, beautifully presented, and plentiful. The hotel's decor blends Turkish charm with Scandinavian simplicity, creating a warm and stylish atmosphere throughout. If you’re someone who appreciates high standards, quality, and serene surroundings, I highly recommend this beautiful place. We enjoyed every moment and will definitely be returning. — Dolores Parker

In this peaceful forest hideaway, where the only sound you hear is the calming rhythm of crickets, you’ll instantly feel at home thanks to the warm hospitality of the hotel owner, Paulina. Her welcoming presence sets the tone for a relaxing stay. The meals were a delight—both breakfast and dinner were natural, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Special thanks to Arzu, whose tomato soup was particularly delicious. Hakim Bey also stood out with his attentive and meticulous service, making sure every detail was just right. If you're looking to unwind and recharge in a serene, nature-filled environment, this is absolutely the right place.
"Disappointing Experience Behind the Scenic Setting"
While the location offers undeniably beautiful scenery and decent rooms and sauna facilities, the overall experience fell short of expectations. The staff, though well-meaning, appeared disorganized and struggled with English communication, which made basic interactions difficult. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was not as welcoming as hoped. When I politely questioned why I received a plain pumpkin dessert while others were served sweet pudding with jam, the response was defensive and unpleasant. Rather than addressing the concern, Pauliina accused me of being prejudiced and told me to go elsewhere if I didn’t appreciate what was offered. This experience made it clear that constructive feedback is not well received here. If you value open communication and consistent service, this place may not be the relaxing retreat it's made out to be.
