"Party hostel"

After a long trip to Lima, I was hoping for a solid night’s rest — but in this large, party-focused hostel, that wasn’t really possible. Every night they run different drinking games, and the noise tends to last until around 2 a.m. I was more interested in getting up early to surf, but sleeping through the music and chatter was a challenge. Probably a great spot if you’re in your early 20s and here to party, but not ideal if you value quiet nights.

"Lima Central"

Stayed here during our trip from Ireland and really enjoyed the experience. The staff were excellent, and the location in Miraflores couldn’t be better — with restaurants, bars, and plenty to see right on the doorstep. There’s a great social vibe with beer pong and nightly activities, attracting guests from all over the world. On the downside, the rooms are a bit dated and it can get noisy at night if you’re trying to sleep early (though earplugs are provided). Overall, a fun and well-situated hostel.

"Feels Like a Hotel"

We stayed in a large, clean private room with air conditioning. The location is central and busy, surrounded by big chain restaurants, which made it feel more like a U.S. city than Lima. Staff were polite but not especially proactive. While the rooftop bar was spacious, social, and a good place to meet travelers, drinks were overpriced and not great. The free breakfast was fine, but avoid paying for additional food—quality was poor. Overall, a decent hostel, but it often felt like they were more focused on selling extras than making guests feel welcome.

"PARTY HOSTEL ONLY!"

This hostel is really only suited for young travelers (18–25) who want to party every day. If you’re looking for rest or a mixed crowd, this isn’t the place. At night, it was extremely noisy with very loud music and people openly doing drugs at all hours. Coming from a friendly hostel in Cusco, it was a shock to find the staff here unfriendly and unwelcoming. Our room wasn’t even ready on time—we had to wait an extra hour before we could rest. To make things worse, one day we ate at the hostel and ended up with food poisoning. Overall, a very poor experience and not one I’d recommend unless nonstop partying is your main goal.

"Great hostel — and even help with emergencies"

During my stay at Pariwana Hostel in Miraflores, I had an unexpected dental issue. The friendly, English-speaking staff recommended a nearby clinic and helped arrange same-day care—such a relief during a busy trip. It’s reassuring to know that travelers can count on both the hostel and nearby English-speaking dental services when needed.

"Nice hostel, good security but no WiFi in rooms"

The rooms are good-sized with big lockers, and the location is convenient. Staff are nice and security is solid. Breakfast is good, though you usually eat outside, which can be quite cold in the mornings. The biggest downside is that there’s no WiFi in the rooms.

"Party hostel, not for everyone"

The rooms here are clean and comfortable, and the hostel definitely has a cool, social atmosphere. That said, if you’re not looking for a party 24/7, it might not be the best fit. As a backpacker, I enjoy a bar and some nightlife, but I also appreciate having a quieter space to relax — which this hostel lacked. When I arrived after a flight, there was a huge party open to outsiders right outside the dorm, which made it hard to settle in. Surprisingly, the room itself stayed fairly quiet. The bigger downside was the shared bathroom, which was used by guests from about three dorms plus people from the bar, making it often crowded.

"Last minute accommodation after getting stuck in Lima for the night"

I ended up at Pariwana unexpectedly after missing a flight, arriving close to 2 a.m. The staff were kind and accommodating, making check-in easy despite the late hour. I’d been hesitant because of its party-hostel reputation, but as a non-drinker looking for quiet, I was pleasantly surprised — I slept well with no noise issues. The location is convenient, breakfast was a plus, and the free walking tour helped me make the most of my short stay in Lima. Overall, a comfortable and welcoming choice, even for those not into the party scene.

"GREAAT"

Nice place with excellent, very helpful staff. The hostel is kept spotless, with bathrooms always clean and ready to use. Beds are comfortable, and it’s a fantastic spot to meet fellow travelers and make new friends.

"My First Hostel in Peru!"

This was my first hostel stay in Peru, and it set the bar high! The location and facilities were excellent, and the day tour was a highlight of my trip. The free breakfast was decent, and I stayed here on two separate nights — both times were fantastic. I’d gladly come back and relive the experience!

"Party Hostel"

If you’re looking for a good night’s sleep, this is not the place. It’s a typical party hostel with nightly drinking games, and being on a very busy street makes it even noisier. Bathrooms were dirty, and the kitchen wasn’t much cleaner. The rooms were tiny, though the beds were comfortable, and the patio was a nice spot to relax. Breakfast was average. Overall, fine if you’re here to party, but not recommended for rest or cleanliness. About 30 minutes by taxi from the airport.

"Friendly hostel"

Very clean and centrally located hostel with daily events that make it easy to meet people. Milagros and the other staff members were very helpful and welcoming. It’s a lively party hostel, so expect noise until late, but I still slept fine. As a solo traveler, I felt safe throughout my stay.

Pariwana Hostel Lima

Highly social hostel in Miraflores with breakfast, bar, communal areas, and organized events—perfect for solo or group travelers.
