"Poor Agency Choice Despite Good Guide"
We booked with them but were transferred to another agency, Intur. While the Machu Picchu guide was excellent and the hotel and meals were good, the bus was old and the return trip was problematic—dropping us off at night in an unfamiliar place. Transferring to another agency is common, but they should ensure it’s a reliable one.
"Poor Service and No Accountability"
I booked a Humantay Lagoon tour and was told to be ready at 4:45 am. No one showed up for an hour, delaying the entire group of 15 and cutting our free time at the lagoon. When I returned to the office to explain, the only response was “Lo siento.” They clearly don’t care—choose another company.
"Worst Tour Operator in Peru – Avoid at All Costs"
In over 25 days in Peru with 9 tours, this Machu Picchu trip was by far the worst. We booked 5 months in advance for an 8 am Machu Picchu + Mountain entry, but the operator bought tickets just 2 days before—so we got a 10 am slot instead. Communication was chaotic, meetings were delayed or canceled, pickup was refused because our hostel was “too far,” and we were left without guidance for buses, lunch, or lodging. The bus drivers were unsafe—one even drank before driving. The guide spoke incomprehensibly fast, arrived late, and rushed us. The operator avoided meeting in person, relied on WhatsApp despite us having no internet, and offered only a $15 refund on a $400 tour. Absolutely not recommended.
