"Nice Pension, nice scam"

We spent five days at this property and were overall disappointed. The pension is predominantly occupied by German guests, and staff often addressed us in German. The hotel layout is a confusing maze of stairs, which took us two days to navigate comfortably. The rooms are spotlessly clean, but lack sufficient power outlets and seating—especially when the sofa bed is used. The terrace only has two chairs. Housekeeping and general staff are friendly and helpful, though there is a feeling of constant surveillance, with managers checking on cleaning and minibar usage, and frequent calls to check if everything is okay. The complimentary access to the fusion restaurant is a plus, and the service is responsive, though drinks are expensive (€4 for sparkling water). The pool bar is enjoyable, with decent snacks and evening entertainment, mostly easy listening music suited to an older clientele. However, the pool itself is small, only 1.10m deep, not heated, and the mosaics need renovation. The view from the pool terrace over Jandia beach is fantastic. That said, the hotel lacks slippers, a coffee machine, and charges for the safe. There is no dedicated parking, and street parking is limited. The biggest issue was the minibar: we were unexpectedly charged €50 per day for drinks, including sodas, beers, water, wine, and a few small bottles, without any prior explanation. Replenishment was random, and no rates were provided—this felt dishonest and misleading. While the staff are professional and the location is beautiful, the property is not suitable for families with children and the hidden charges make it a frustrating experience. Based on this stay, we will never return to a RIU property.

"Noise and noise every night"

The location is extremely noisy, with loud music from the Robinson Jandia Playa hotel nearby going on well past midnight, making it very hard to rest. Adding to the problem, there’s a smelly sewage pumping station right at the corner of the hotel. Accessibility is also a serious issue—if you have any mobility problems, this is not the place for you, as there are far too many stairs throughout the hotel. It’s hard to understand how the Riu Palace Jandia can claim to be a five-star property. The lack of peace, unpleasant surroundings, and poor accessibility show a real lack of finesse. Overall, very disappointing and not what one would expect from a hotel in this category.

"Hôtel majestueux"

We stayed a week at this beautiful hotel as a couple with our teenager and had a wonderful experience. The hotel offers breathtaking views and is decorated with great care. To reach the beach, you simply go down the stairs and take the elevator. Our room was very spacious, spotless, and well-equipped with towels, shampoos, a hair dryer, table, and iron. The food was excellent with plenty of variety, including great options for vegetarians. The staff were highly professional, attentive, and always ready to help. Evenings were nicely animated by live singers, which created such a pleasant atmosphere. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available at the beach for a small fee. The only things that could make the stay even better would be a water fountain and an ATM on-site. The hotel is ideally located right next to the charming old town, which is full of character. For our last evening, we had the pleasure of meeting the manager, Jesus—a truly kind and attentive person. Overall, we had a delightful stay, and we wholeheartedly congratulate the whole team. This hotel truly deserves its 5 stars. Warm greetings from Strasbourg 🤗

"Magnifiek"

This beautiful hotel has been nicely renovated and offers a quiet, peaceful location. The staff are friendly and attentive, and we loved the flexibility of being able to go to breakfast and dinner at any hour. This was our second stay here, and once again, we had a very enjoyable experience.

"Good four star hotel, not five"

I’m currently staying at the hotel. It’s a good property, but in my opinion, it doesn’t deserve five stars. The positives: the location is unbeatable, right next to the beach, and the rooms—especially those with sea views like mine—are very spacious and comfortable. The staff are also friendly and helpful, making the stay pleasant. The negatives: the hammocks are very uncomfortable, the irons are fixed with no mat underneath, and the umbrellas are small and dirty. The buffet for breakfast and dinner is nothing remarkable—more in line with three- or four-star hotels—and dinner schedules cater to foreigners but are strict; at 22:00, guests are asked to leave. Overall, while the location, facilities, and staff are good, the services feel more suited to a three- or four-star property, yet prices reflect a five-star rating.

"Beautiful holiday"

The facility is great and very well-kept. The pool is enjoyable, though it is saltwater, and the sunbeds around the pool are comfortable and plentiful. The only downside was the bed, which was unfortunately quite soft and lacked support, and no additional bedding made much difference.

"Five stars a bit under the radar"

The hotel is ideally located in the center of Morro Jable, right opposite a beautiful, long beach. The common areas, however, felt below the standard of other 5-star properties in the Canaries, even within the same chain. The lobby feels anonymous, the reception desk is minimal, the restaurant has only partial views overlooking a gas station, the pool bar is limited and underwhelming, and the layout of the hotel is a bit labyrinthine. On the positive side, our room was recently renovated and of excellent standard—spacious, tastefully decorated, with a large bathroom featuring a huge shower and a separate toilet area. The food was good, particularly the roasts, which are a highlight for the largely German clientele. Staff were very courteous and helpful. Rooms with a “side sea view” also overlook a busy street, but once the window is closed, they are very quiet.

"Holidays in Morro Jable"

A very nice, clean hotel with top-notch rooms and beds that felt like a dream 💕. The service and staff were excellent, making our stay very enjoyable. The pool is great, and overall the hotel is stylish, modern, and well-maintained. The food was very good and plentiful. On the downside, access to the beach involves many stairs and elevators, making it difficult for guests with reduced mobility. The safe rental felt overpriced and should be included in the room rate, and drink prices are slightly high, though still average. Overall, we would recommend this hotel if you don’t need to worry too much about extra expenses.

"perfect holiday"

We first stayed at this hotel back in 2015 and decided to return in May this year—and wow, it was perfect! From check-in to check-out, everything was excellent. It was also lovely to see some of the staff who had been there during our first visit. All the staff were incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable—we sincerely thank them all. The hotel is perched at the top of a hill overlooking a gorgeous beach. Our room had a sea view, and the balcony enjoyed sun all day, which was a bonus for my partner who loves to soak up the sun whenever possible. The food was excellent, with a good variety of choices at every meal. This truly was one of the best holidays we’ve ever had, and we will definitely return again in the near future.

"Price-performance not justified"

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this hotel falls short of 5-star standards. There is no dedicated hotel parking, and guests must search for spaces nearby. The property is extremely unsuitable for those with reduced mobility—there are countless steps, few elevators, and no staff assistance for luggage at early hours. If you require help, you must deliver your suitcase to reception a day in advance, which feels unreasonable. The overall service is very poor. Drink options in the restaurants are limited, and popular choices like Sangria or Aperol Spritz are only available at the bar on the upper floor. Food is disappointing, with little variety day to day, and inappropriate attire such as swimming shorts or tracksuits is tolerated at dinner. Even the full breakfast on departure at 06:40 was substandard, with dirty tables and a hostel-like setup. Towels can only be changed between 09:00 and 15:00, and our room in the lower part of the hotel suffered from poorly working air conditioning and even cockroaches on the balcony. The corridors, while the rooms are nicely designed, feel more like a hospital or catacombs. The only positive aspects were the beach and the sea. Compared to other RIU properties, such as those in Gran Canaria, this hotel is a huge disappointment. The reception staff’s friendliness, particularly on the last evening, was lacking. Riu Palace Jandia does not deserve a 5-star rating, and the price-performance ratio is far from acceptable.

"Price / performance is not right"

Our booking was for three people, including a baby. It was a nasty surprise to discover all the stairs throughout the hotel, making it nearly impossible with a stroller. At this price range, we would have expected a clear note about this when booking. Another disappointment: you have to rent a safe. I’ve never experienced that before—whether in youth hostels or leading 5-star hotels. On departure, reception told us we had to carry our luggage (including stroller and baby gear) ourselves from the room to the exit. Only after speaking with management was any help offered. Overall, the staff were very nice (except for one lady at reception), and the location is great. But all in all, this hotel could do so much more—and yet chooses not to. Please spare us the empty, pre-written responses. You’ve already demonstrated your unwillingness to listen.

"Very good hotel for a beach holiday"

The highlights of our stay were the very spacious, modern, and newly renovated rooms. The food was excellent in every respect, and we were impressed by the staff, who were always friendly, helpful, and professional. A big compliment to the entire team—you are doing a great job! The only downside is the hotel complex itself. The layout can be confusing, and the
