"Not a friendly hotel"

After our arrival in December 2024, despite having booked early in July 2023, we did not receive the room we had paid for – a cross sea view. Instead, we were given an economy room (number 323) in the main building. To reach the room, we had to walk past a parking area, dust bins, and a staff smoking area. Near our door were exhaust tubes from the restaurant, causing strong cigarette and kitchen odors in the corridor. Inside the room, even with the door closed, the air was unpleasant, and we could hear loud conversations from staff on cigarette breaks. Kitchen noises began at 6am, preventing proper sleep. We requested a room change at reception, but the staff were unhelpful. It took two days and intervention from our Neckermann Poland representative before we were finally moved to the room we had paid for – room 242, which was acceptable. Additionally, although Sentido Hotels advertise themselves as guest-friendly, we did not experience this. On the last day, we requested a late checkout for a fee. Reception refused and only allowed us to stay until 2pm without payment. The room was not cleaned afterward, despite being empty until 5pm. Such treatment of guests is unacceptable and shows a lack of attention to customer care.

"Beautiful resort and chilled hotel"

Just arrived home from a lovely holiday at this hotel. Our allocated room was modern, very clean, and included a comfortable sofa bed for our daughter. While we had booked a lateral sea view, we were disappointed to face a wall. If I were to book again, I would request a pool view, which also includes a sea view. I asked twice to move and pay extra, but the receptionist informed me the hotel was fully booked. The atmosphere around the pool was very relaxed, with beds and umbrellas always available. Guests could serve themselves lager, wine, coffee, and soft drinks, while spirits were served by bartenders. A small snack area offered toasties and pastries throughout the day. The restaurant staff worked tirelessly to clear tables, and the breakfast selection was excellent, including freshly made omelettes and a wide variety of food. Lunch and dinner were also good, though a little monotonous by the end of the week. Occasionally there were queues for the cooked meat and fish, but they moved quickly. Evening entertainment included talented singers and bands, though the magician and Brazilian dancers were less impressive. With mostly German guests, shows were presented in both German and English. Entertainment ended at 10pm, with most guests returning to their rooms or enjoying drinks and games by the pool bar. The resort itself is stunning, with beautiful beaches, though it has very few bars or evening activities nearby. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a relaxed holiday in a well-run property with a wonderful setting.

"We had an incredibly nice holiday"

We had a truly wonderful holiday at R2 Buganvilla. The staff were lovely and often funny, making our stay even more enjoyable. The entertainment was great, and the location is perfect for relaxing and exploring. We were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade, thoughtfully arranged so that a family member arriving later had a room right next to ours—such a kind gesture. Of course, there are always minor points for improvement, but they were so insignificant that they didn’t affect our experience. We had a fantastic week and would love to return.

"Mediocre at best ok if you are 60."

Good Points: The hotel is lovely and clean, with comfortable beds and good-sized rooms. It has a great location near shops and the beach. There are plenty of sun loungers available all day, some good evening entertainment, and you can use hotel towels at the pool. Bad Points: The air conditioning didn’t work in our room, and the Wi-Fi was poor. The food was not great and didn’t cater well to kids, leaning heavily toward German cuisine. The dining room is too small, and daytime activities were very limited. The pool was icy cold, making swimming unpleasant, especially with the windy conditions. Some staff and guests were rude, and the snack bar offered very little. Overall, the hotel has some positives but also several drawbacks to consider, especially for families or those seeking warmer pool conditions.

"Back"

Back at Buganvilla, and it’s mostly the same positive experience. The villas are clean, there are plenty of sun loungers, the staff are friendly, and the breakfast is the best meal of the day. While guests come from Scandinavia, the Czech Republic, and Poland, the majority are still German. The safety box remains expensive at 4 euros/day, which explains why many guests carry valuables in their backpacks. Some minor issues remain, like staff in the dining room not checking wine and beer pumps before dinner, causing some congestion. Highlight of the week: the Wednesday gala dinner with very good and pleasant music entertainment—definitely keep it!

"Holidays in Germanic territory and not in Spain!"

The hotel is very well located and just a short walk from the beach. Cleanliness and staff friendliness were both excellent. However, the majority of guests are German, and much of the service and entertainment seems tailored exclusively to them, with animations and activities mostly in German. The meal selection was somewhat average, lacking variety and quality, and we didn’t see red meat served once during the week. Another important point: the indoor pool is only accessible via the spa and requires payment, which was not mentioned on the EasyJet Holidays website when booking. This was misleading, as the indoor pool was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, especially considering the outside climate. Despite these issues, we still had a good stay and enjoyed our time.

"Recommendable"

The hotel is very convenient for beach access and offers excellent spa and pool services, with a particularly skilled masseuse. The hotel is about one hour from the airport and roughly 25 minutes’ walk to Morro Jable, an easy stroll along the beach promenade lined with shops, supermarkets, and restaurants. The staff were generally very friendly, and the rooms and beds were comfortable. The main drawback was the food quality—even with all-inclusive, it didn’t particularly stand out. Additionally, the meal schedules seem tailored more to German tourists than others. Otherwise, everything was very good, making for a pleasant stay.

"Good service but improve"

The hotel is very clean with friendly service, good food, and enjoyable evening shows. However, it is not really a children’s hotel. There are limited areas for kids to play, and the jacuzzi is used more like a play/gathering spot. The pool is quite small, with both adults and children playing ball, making it a bit crowded. Entering and exiting the pool is difficult due to hammocks blocking the access.

"Disappointed, bad food, too few umbrellas, unfriendly staff,"

We booked a standard double room and requested a ground floor due to my husband’s mobility issues. Having stayed here eight times before, we were always accommodated on the ground floor. This time, however, we were placed in a basement (cellar) room, and told that standard rooms are all in the basement. Rooms on the actual ground floor and above are classified as side sea view or sea view. Our room faced only the restaurant and pool, yet we were still charged a €15 per day upgrade. There were too few parasols by the pool, the drinks were watery, and the food felt canteen-style. Staff were unfriendly and dissatisfied, making the stay disappointing overall.

"Everything exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended."

The hotel enjoys a prime location, right on the spectacular beach and conveniently close to shops and entertainment. Everything about our stay was excellent. The staff were friendly and professional, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The rooms were very comfortable, and the restaurant offered a wide variety of high-quality cuisine. The pool area is fabulous, featuring a bar, spacious terraces, and two jacuzzis with stunning sea views. Evening entertainment was excellent, with engaging nightly shows. Cleaning and maintenance were impeccable, adding to the overall sense of quality and comfort. This hotel is ideal for anyone looking for a relaxing, well-run beachfront stay with top-notch facilities.

"Very nice hotel in the heart of the city"

This all-inclusive hotel offers a great selection of food and a huge pool with an outdoor Jacuzzi. The poolside bar serves drinks throughout the day, which is very convenient. The beds could be more comfortable, as ours sank in the middle. The hotel is not right on the beach—about a 10–15 minute walk—but the central pool area is ideal. For families, there’s not a lot of kids’ activities, but the pool itself provides plenty of entertainment for children. Overall, a pleasant stay with good amenities and food.

"Nice hotel with some drawbacks"

We have been visiting the Buganvilla for many years. While you can always find minor grievances anywhere, the price-performance ratio used to be very good, though it has deteriorated recently. It seems that the hotel management is no longer enforcing its own rules. Some guests arrive at dinner in shorts and flip-flops, even though long trousers are mandatory, and smoking on balconies, despite being prohibited, is common. This lack of oversight and rule enforcement reflects poorly on the hotel.
