"Location is top, but everything is said with that"

The apartments are in urgent need of renovation, as temporary fixes simply don’t address the underlying problems. In the bathroom, leaks cause water to continuously rise through the floor when standing on it. Cleaning is minimal—just twice a week—and even then it feels superficial, with only the smell of bleach lingering from mopping. The complex is plagued by cockroaches, which appear from walls, behind wardrobes, and under freezers, regardless of how clean you keep the apartment. They also emerge in large groups from the planters by the pool, and no sprays seem effective. Sunbeds are insufficient for the number of guests, with cottages accommodating 3–4 people each, and broken sunbeds are crudely repaired with wires instead of being replaced. The pool opens late—sometimes as late as 10:00—which is inconvenient when waiting in the sun, and it is poorly maintained, with peeling plaster along the edges and bottom. The apartment furnishings are equally problematic. The sofa bed is too short and sags, exposing a rusted frame if not handled carefully. Curtains in the living room are too short, letting in too much light for anyone sleeping on the sofa bed. Overall, almost everything in the apartments needs replacing to meet a reasonable standard of comfort and hygiene.

"Great place for familys"

After reading some reviews, I was initially concerned about the apartments. While they are a bit dated, they were comfortable and well-maintained. The air conditioning worked perfectly, with only one brief stoppage during our 11-day stay, which was quickly resolved the same day. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home. The pool was a little on the cold side, but it was a refreshing way to escape the sun. The apartments are conveniently located near supermarkets and plenty of restaurants, making them ideal for a relaxed stay.

"Could be great…"

If I’m honest, 4 stars is probably a stretch, but there’s so much potential here that I don’t want to diminish the hotel’s good reputation. The positives are many: the location is fabulous, the rooms are generously sized with a proper queen-size bed and a comfortable mattress, and there’s plenty of storage—even for four people. The kitchen is spacious with lots of appliances, and the full-sized fridge-freezer was perfect. Yes, the property is older and in need of updating, but it was very clean (we had some ants, but nothing unbearable), and the staff were lovely, with thoughtful welcome touches. The pool area is a great size for just 63 rooms. However, the sunbed situation is diabolical—the worst I’ve encountered. Out of roughly 50 sunbeds, half were broken or unusable, leaving fewer than one per room. This is unacceptable and would ruin the holiday for families with younger children, for whom the pool is a key reason for booking. We mostly went for walks or to the beach to avoid the fight for a sunbed. Complaints were met with a “health and safety” explanation, which felt like a poor excuse given the unused space elsewhere. With some investment and attention to the sunbed issue, this hotel could be a true gem—particularly outside peak season.

"Not enough sun beds for the number of rooms."

We loved several aspects of these apartments. The pool bar is fabulous, with a friendly and polite attendant who really looks after guests. Our balcony room overlooked the pool, which was great, and the room was kept clean with fresh towels every other day. The apartments are perfectly located near the Main Street and beach—about a 10-minute slow walk—and a supermarket is just five minutes away. Reception staff were polite and explained everything upon arrival. Rooms had easy-to-use safes, a shower over the bath, and a well-equipped kitchen with fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and kettle. However, there were a few issues. We noticed ants in the kitchen and a few cockroaches in the dining area, likely entering through gaps in the balcony doors. The biggest problem, by far, is the sunbed situation. There are not enough for the number of rooms, and many are broken or sunken, giving terrible backaches. Guests have to queue at one of three pool gates, which are opened at 9:30 am, and only a few get a chance at a sunbed. With 68 rooms accommodating three people each at peak season, there are only 50 sunbeds—clearly insufficient. The pool area could be lovely, but the lack of sunbeds lets this place down. We would only return if more sunbeds were provided.

"BASIC"

Yes, the hotel is basic and in need of some serious TLC, but its fantastic location and wonderful staff make up for a lot. Our air conditioning didn’t work from the moment we arrived, and despite maintenance checking it twice, it still wasn’t fixed. The pool area could definitely do with a refurbishment, and the fact that there are only 50 sunbeds for around 65 rooms is a real issue. Guests sprinting for sunbeds over an hour before the pool opens should be managed better. On the positive side, the pool bar is excellent, and the food is consistently superb. Our room was simple, but the beds were comfortable enough for the time we spent in it. With a little investment and some updates, this hotel has the potential to be even better. Despite the shortcomings, we would return.

"Too many pool hoggers"

I can relate to many of the comments left here. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and I truly appreciate their efforts. However, I would like to offer a suggestion regarding sunbed usage. The behaviour of many guests is frustrating: queuing at the gates 40 minutes before they open, waiting for each other to make the first move, and then rushing down the walls before the gates are even unlocked. Beds are then taken in a minute. Sometimes a “sentinel” will guard their beds, meaning they’re not actually using them immediately. I even saw a large family go to a nearby restaurant for breakfast after securing beds, likely repeating this every day. I sympathise with the staff, as policing this must be challenging. Perhaps a fairer system would be to allow guests to book a sunbed through reception. This could make it easier to manage beds, ensuring they’re used efficiently and fairly, and reduce the stress for staff and guests alike. The staff are excellent, but a more organised system for sunbeds would make a big difference to everyone’s holiday experience.

"Great location, needs some TLC"

The location of this complex is spot on, with easy access to everything you need. Showers are brilliant, the beds are comfortable, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The complex is cleaned daily, and rooms are serviced twice a week. While there is air-conditioning only in the living room, the overall comfort is still very good. A few small drawbacks include paying extra for the room safe and the bath towels being quite small. The rooms are in need of some TLC, and the pool area has a few broken tiles, but these minor issues didn’t spoil our holiday at all. Despite these small imperfections, the overall experience was very enjoyable. With the great location, friendly staff, and clean facilities, we would return to this complex 100%.

"Great staff"

I’ve visited here a few times, and it’s always been really good. The staff are fantastic and very helpful, but recently the sunbed situation has become frustrating. Many guests reserve sunbeds and then leave for the day, sometimes using towels, umbrellas, and even turning tables upside down to “hold” their spots. On one occasion, two sunbeds were reserved with all this, and the guests didn’t return until late afternoon. It’s disappointing that a few selfish holidaymakers can affect everyone’s experience. It would be helpful if the lifeguard on duty could monitor sunbed usage and remove items from beds that aren’t being used, allowing others to enjoy them. We ended up going to the beach most days because of this, which is a shame as the pool area is usually excellent. Aside from the sunbed issue, the hotel remains a great place to stay.

"Dated and in urgent need of renovation"

I am sure this complex was once fabulous, but now it is in a dire state and in urgent need of a complete overhaul. Almost everything is worn out and in desperate need of replacement. From the facilities to the furnishings, nothing feels up to standard anymore. Unfortunately, in its current condition, I cannot recommend staying here.

"I would go back"

I’ll start with the negatives. The accommodation feels a bit dated and tired, the pull-out beds aren’t the most comfortable, and the pool could use a few more sunbeds. (Perhaps if every room had a couple on their terrace or balcony, some guests wouldn’t need to crowd around the pool.) On the positive side, the location is excellent, close to both the beach and the town center. The kitchens are fully functional if you want to cook, the main beds are comfortable, and the shower is fantastic. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and feature a large TV where you can log into your Netflix or Disney accounts. The pool area and bar are lovely, with a saltwater pool that avoids that constant chlorine smell. The staff—from reception to maintenance to pool bar—are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Every interaction we had with them was positive. Let’s be honest, this is a 3-star hotel, but the staff could easily match a 5-star level of service. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly getaway, this hotel ticks all the boxes. Many guests were repeat visitors, and it’s easy to see why. Would I return? Absolutely!

"Cheap and cheerful"

These apartments are affordable, cheerful, and in a fantastic location. The staff are friendly, and the rooms, although a little dated, provide everything you need for a comfortable stay. Rooms are cleaned twice a week, though some basic amenities like proper bowls could be improved. One downside is the cigarette butts around the pool area—they were stuck in the legs of sunbeds and in flower beds near the entrance. While the pool itself is cleaned, the surrounding area could benefit from daily sweeping. Sunbeds are often hogged and not very comfortable, which can be frustrating. Overall, despite a few shortcomings, the location is excellent, and if options are limited, this is a decent place to stay.

"Good location We chose these apts"

We chose these apartments for the fantastic location, close to all the amenities, bars, and shops. The apartments are very dated but clean. I would recommend taking your own towels, as the ones provided are worn and rough. The pool is a decent size, but there are four sets of stairs down to the pool, and only one has a handrail, so be careful. Overall, a good base for exploring the area, but the apartments could use some updates.
