"4D3N stay under Angkot Wat package"
We recently stayed at this hotel on a 4D3N Angkor Wat package, and overall the experience was positive, though not without some unexpected twists. The room was spacious with a huge bathroom (though no bathtub), and the daily yoga sessions were excellent—led by a knowledgeable guru who made each practice enriching. A weekly Gong healing session with a visiting guru from Germany was another unique highlight that left us feeling relaxed and recharged. Day trips to Angkor Wat by tuk-tuk were enjoyable, though we would recommend hiring a guide to get a more informative and immersive experience. On the downside, some details could be improved. The shower gel was provided in a small, hard-to-use bottle, and the excursion to Kbal Spean and Banteay Srei arranged by the hotel was a disappointment. The long journey combined with a tuk-tuk driver who gave little guidance—and even tried to take advantage of the situation—made it frustrating, although we still treated him to lunch and tipped generously, knowing how tough life can be here. Dinner options at the hotel were limited, and drinks were not included in the package. For future travelers, we recommend hiring a guide for Angkor Wat to make the most of the visit, staying flexible with your itinerary, and fully enjoying the hotel’s yoga and wellness programs—they are truly a highlight. Overall, the package was good value, but a little patience and adaptability are key to having a rewarding stay in Siem Reap.
"This is a Health Retreat, Not a Normal Hotel/Resort and NO TV"
We were sent to Navutu as an “upgrade” from our original tour booking. The resort is promoted as a wellness retreat, which we were not entirely prepared for or seeking. The fitness room was poorly equipped, and our schedule didn’t allow us to attend the complimentary yoga class. The rooms are unusual in design, resembling Flintstones-style concrete bungalows, with oddly placed plastic-covered couches and twin rain showers that were ineffective for washing hair. While the rooms were comfortable and had air conditioning, there was no TV. There was a pleasant porch area with lounge chairs, herbal tea and coffee, and refillable drinking water in the restaurant area. The single restaurant offered mostly healthy Asian dishes with a few Italian options, including pizza, and alcoholic drinks and juices were available. Breakfast was not a buffet. The three pools—family, lap, and adult—were not heated, and at times families took over the adult pool. Staff were friendly and helpful. The resort is relatively small and about 2 km from the city center. We were also disturbed by an early-morning wedding next door that went on for several days with loudspeakers. Overall, if you’re expecting a traditional hotel, this is not it; however, if you’re seeking a wellness-focused retreat, Navutu may suit your needs.
"Excellent hotel with caring staff"
The resort is a wonderful facility—clean, well-maintained, and staffed by a professional, welcoming team who always made our stay comfortable, from hailing tuk-tuks to greeting us warmly. The food was delicious, with perfectly cooked eggs benedict and fresh fruit served at breakfast, and the massage therapists were excellent, offering great value. The only disappointment was the adult/lap pool, which was fantastic when used as intended but became less enjoyable when families with small children and even toddlers in diapers used it—surely the family pool is more appropriate for that. While the chlorine kept things sanitary, I’d recommend bringing goggles. Overall, I’d definitely stay again, but if toddlers take over the adult pool for long stretches, I’ll make sure to mention it to management.
"unique"
We had a nice stay at the resort. The breakfast offered was especially enjoyable, and the room was very comfortable with a large, pleasant bed. While the property has a couple of nice pools, we didn’t use them as we’re not pool people. Overall, it was a relaxing and comfortable stay.
"Excellent place to relax"
A very nice and comfortable place with extremely courteous staff. The food was good, and the massages were excellent, making for a very pleasant stay. The mattress was a bit hard, but the staff provided a cover to soften it. The hotel also offers yoga classes and other activities, which are a great bonus for those interested.
"Lovely staff but lacking some basics"
The property is beautiful and serene, offering a stylish, young, and hip atmosphere. Extras like twice-daily room cleaning and a fancy tea bar add to the experience. However, it’s not particularly family-friendly, and some basic amenities were lacking, including decent Wi-Fi and a buffet breakfast, which was a bit disappointing.
"Beware if you have allergies"
I loved the resort, especially the pool area, which was very relaxing. However, my stay was nearly ruined by the scented oil burners present in most rooms. While many guests might find the fragrance pleasant, it caused me a severe allergic reaction, making it difficult to breathe. Even after the burner was removed from our room, the reaction persisted. Fortunately, the staff had another room available without the burner, and although it smelled faintly of stale cigarette smoke, I was just grateful to be able to breathe again.
"Relax, Swim, and Explore: A Great Stay in Siem Reap"
We stayed in two connecting rooms that were spacious, spotless, and featured lovely bathrooms with both a bath and a shower. Each room had a small terrace that was perfect for relaxing. The three pools catered to everyone—whether you wanted to unwind, swim laps, or let the kids splash around. Breakfast was excellent, starting with a beautifully presented platter of fresh fruit, bread, and pastries, followed by a menu with plenty of delicious additional options. The centrally located restaurant also served very good lunch and dinner. There is a gym available, though it’s quite basic, but this wasn’t an issue for us. Overall, this hotel is fantastic and serves as a perfect base for exploring the Siem Reap area.
"Great break away from hectic life…"
Our room was very comfortable, spacious, and clean, although the safe seemed to have a low battery. When we informed the hotel staff, they responded immediately and efficiently. The staff throughout the hotel were polite, respectful, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The private yoga and meditation classes were fantastic—I truly enjoyed my time with the instructor. Happy hours and cocktails maintained their usual high quality, and the passion fruit mojito remains a personal favorite. The only disappointment was breakfast: it used to be a buffet with plenty of choices and interaction with the staff, but now the offerings, including the fruit platter, were limited. I understand the post-COVID situation has made operations challenging, and overall, we had a very enjoyable stay.
"Beautiful, relaxing resort with friendly staff always on hand to help"
This resort has a relaxed, rustic charm with careful attention paid to the finer details. The staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always eager to ensure your needs are met. I particularly enjoyed the optional yoga and Reiki classes hosted by the hotel, as well as a rejuvenating spa massage. While the resort is a little further out from central Siem Reap, it’s well worth the stay for those seeking a peaceful environment in tune with local culture. A driver into town or to the temples is always quickly and easily arranged. The three pools are excellent, allowing all guests to enjoy them without feeling crowded.
