"Needs work"
The entrees and appetizers here are top-tier, executed with skill and creativity. Unfortunately, the wine list leaves much to be desired, seemingly overseen by an inexperienced and overwhelmed sommelier. Desserts also fall short, lacking the quality and attention the rest of the meal deserves. Overall, a mixed experience: exceptional savory dishes, but room for improvement in drinks and sweets.
"Marvelous"
Foxface Natural is exactly what every dining experience should be: delicious, unique, and special. Every dish we tried was marvelous, showcasing creativity and impeccable execution. This place has quickly become my new favorite restaurant in NYC, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
"Innovative restaurant worth the hype"
Foxface Natural takes the adventurous spirit of its former sandwich shop and elevates it into a refined, high-end dining experience. After glowing praise from Pete Wells of the NYT, I had high expectations—and the restaurant delivered. We started with the tuna crudo and kangaroo tartare, both of which were standout dishes, and finished with the grouper for two in a phenomenal squid ink sauce. The natural wine selection was well-curated and fairly priced. In a city overflowing with dining options, Foxface offers a truly unique and memorable experience.
Foxface Natural
A newer restaurant in the East Village; noted for creative, adventurous takes on seafood, small plates, and local ingredients with flair.
