Chito Gvrito

"Best Georgian Restaurant in NYC!"
If you love Georgian food—or are trying it for the first time—Chito Gvrito in Gramercy is an absolute must! I’ve visited multiple times and every visit impresses me with their authentic yet modern Georgian dishes. The traditional Adjaruli Khachapuri (cheese boat) and dumplings (Khinkali) are always a must-order. The staff are happy to recommend dishes if you’re unsure, but honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Other highlights for me include the boneless chicken, aubergine rolls, mezze dips, and the steak skewers—everything is consistently delicious!
"Disappointing."
We visited Chito Gvrito with high hopes, but unfortunately the experience fell short. The restaurant has a quaint interior and typical Georgian dishes on the menu, but the portions were far smaller than expected. Both khachapuris were tiny and seemed made with feta rather than the traditional Sulguni cheese. The khinkali had thick dough with very little meat, which left me feeling unwell afterward. The chicken chkmeruli portion was laughably small, and the wines—both Saperavi and Rkatsiteli—were mediocre. For the prices charged, this Georgian restaurant simply does not deliver good value.
"Comfortable and tasty"
Chito Gvrito offers an interesting menu with carefully prepared dishes made from high-quality ingredients. The service is pleasant and attentive, making for an enjoyable experience. The dining room is small, so reservations are highly recommended to secure a spot.
Chito Gvrito
Chito Gvrito offers Filipino cuisine with dishes like adobo and lechon. The modern setting and traditional flavors attract those seeking a taste of the Philippines.
