"Extremely Poor Service from Croatian Bus Company"

If I could give negative stars, I would. As a Croatian by heritage, this bus company is an embarrassment. The buses are always late, make no stops along long routes, and drivers mock passengers who don’t have exact change for luggage. Staff are generally rude, and overbooking seems common. I strongly advise booking with another company to avoid wasting your time and money.

"Lack of Transparency and Concern for Driver Quality"

If you ask this bus company about a driver’s daily wage, you should receive a clear answer. Instead, they claim it’s “written in the regulations,” but when you request those regulations, they’re unavailable. This shows a lack of respect for drivers and contributes to their shortage of experienced personnel. They even hire drivers without experience or openly advertise that experience isn’t required. Experienced and skilled drivers are essential for passenger safety, comfort, and the proper maintenance and longevity of vehicles. It’s in the best interest of both the company and drivers to prioritize this, yet the current approach undermines it.

"Frustrating Delays and Poor Communication"

Terrible experience with this bus company. Our bus was delayed by over an hour, so we decided to take a taxi instead. There was no information provided about the delay — no email, no call, and no one at the station knew when or if the bus would arrive. Attempts to call were unsuccessful. Later, I requested a refund via email, but they explained that tickets are only refunded for delays over 90 minutes. Our bus was 63 minutes late, yet I still had to pay for a taxi. Completely unsatisfactory service.

Overall, the service provided is generally poor, failing to meet basic expectations for reliability, professionalism, and customer care.

"Unreliable and Inconsistent Bus Service"

This bus company is very unreliable. Most of the time, the buses are late, and on the rare occasion they arrive early, they simply leave without waiting until the scheduled time listed on their website. It makes planning any trip extremely frustrating.

"Outdated Luggage Policy and Rude Drivers"

There’s still an extra charge for luggage on this bus, and payment can only be made in cash. When I offered a 20-euro bill, the driver yelled at me and sent me to a kiosk to change it. His words were along the lines of, “Why are you standing there with that money? How can I change it for you? You have to bring exact change.” Seriously, Autotrans, it’s 2024 — it’s time to include luggage in the ticket price and spare passengers from being hassled by rude drivers over minor cash issues.
