"A Perfect Birthday Dinner Experience"

Absolutely magnificent! I celebrated my birthday here with my boyfriend, and it was an unforgettable evening. We enjoyed the salmon heart, the beef with incredibly smooth and flavorful mashed potatoes, and the cod served with squash—each dish was beautifully prepared and delicious. For dessert, we had the profiteroles, which were the perfect sweet ending. The service was impeccable, and when I mentioned it was my birthday, they surprised me with a complimentary ice cream topped with a little candle 🥰. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for a refined and elegant fine dining experience.

"Magnifique Dining Experience — Truly Deserving of Six Stars!"

If there were six stars, that would be more appropriate! The food was absolutely exquisite, and the service was top-notch from start to finish. We had the cassoulet, which was bursting with flavor and so delicious that I can’t wait to try making it at home. The foie gras was decadent and perfectly prepared—an indulgent treat. The restaurant itself is beautiful, creating the perfect atmosphere for such a wonderful meal. To top it all off, they served little Alain Ducasse chocolates—the best we had in all of Paris. Simply magnifique!

"Authentic French Ambiance, Average Dining Experience at Benoit Paris"

Benoit, a Parisian bistro, was my choice for a final-day dinner in Paris with my wife after seeing its glowing Michelin Guide recommendation. While the setting truly impressed — a charming, beautifully designed French bistro with elegant décor and welcoming staff — the dining experience didn’t quite live up to the hype. We ordered the duck foie gras, gourmet veal casserole with sweetbreads, seared beef tenderloin, and finished with a French cheese dessert. The dishes were authentic and well-prepared, especially the veal casserole, which I highly recommend. However, the cheese course felt too simple — just small cuts of cheese on a plate, which made it disappointing and not worth the price. Overall, Benoit delivers on atmosphere and service, offering that quintessential Parisian bistro charm, but the food, while pleasant, didn’t quite meet Michelin-level expectations. We likely wouldn’t return, though it’s still a lovely spot for those seeking a traditional French dining experience.

"A Pleasant Parisian Experience at Benoit"

I had a really nice experience at Benoit. The food was flavorful and the service warm and attentive, making for an inviting atmosphere. My main dish did arrive a little colder than expected, which was slightly disappointing, but the dessert absolutely made up for it — perfectly prepared and delicious. Overall, it was an enjoyable visit and I’d be happy to return for another classic Parisian meal.

"A Michelin-Star Experience Worth Every Bite!"

This bistro has a Michelin star for a reason! I dined solo, and it was a truly fantastic experience from start to finish. The escargot was absolutely fabulous, and the cassoulet was rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making me feel right at home. To end the evening, they treated me to an espresso with a madeleine — the perfect finishing touch to an unforgettable meal.

"A Wonderful Dinner at Benoit — Great Food, Warm Service, and Classic Parisian Charm"

Loved my experience at Benoit! The menu was well balanced with generous portions and a great variety of classic French dishes. We came as a group of five, which allowed us to sample most of the menu — and everything was delicious. Even the cheese puffs served at the start were a delightful touch. The restaurant itself is beautiful, full of Parisian charm, and the staff were friendly and welcoming, taking the time to explain not just the dishes but also the history behind the restaurant, which was a wonderful touch for visitors like us. Our reservation was at 7 PM, right when the restaurant opened. If I had one small note, it’s that we were seated at the back corner, which felt a bit tucked away, though perhaps that’s because we were a larger group. Still, the atmosphere more than made up for it. My favorite dishes were the Cookpot spelt, escargot, and steak, and I have to give a special mention to the seasonal tomato starter — surprisingly flavorful, even for someone who doesn’t usually love tomatoes! Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I’d definitely come back next time I’m in Paris.

"A Classic Parisian Lunch Experience at Benoit — Timeless, Warm, and Delicious"

Had a lovely lunch at Benoit, a bistro that’s been delighting diners since 1912. It has that classic Parisian charm — elegant yet relaxed, never pretentious. Now part of Alain Ducasse’s group, the restaurant maintains high culinary standards while preserving its traditional feel. I opted for the set lunch menu (note that it changes from time to time), and every dish was beautifully prepared — simple, authentic French cooking done perfectly. The flavors were rich yet balanced, and the portion sizes were just right. The service was exceptional, friendly, and professional without being overbearing. A kind lady looked after me throughout, explaining the menu clearly and checking in at just the right moments. It made the whole experience feel warm and personal. To end on a sweet note, they served chocolates from their own factory — rich, smooth, and the perfect finishing touch to a delightful meal. If you’re in Paris and looking for a refined yet comfortable French dining experience, Benoit is an excellent choice. It’s a place where history, hospitality, and great food come together beautifully — highly recommended for lunch.

"Disappointing Experience Despite Great Service at Benoit"

I’ll start by saying that the service was fantastic — the staff were genuinely friendly, attentive, and professional throughout my visit, which I truly appreciated. However, the overall experience didn’t quite live up to expectations. I had made my reservation weeks in advance, but when I arrived right at opening time (7 PM), I was seated at the entrance, directly beside where guests check in. It felt like I was placed there because I was dining solo, which made the experience uncomfortable — every time the door opened, a chilly draft came through, and being right in view of everyone entering wasn’t ideal. As for the food, it was just okay. The French onion soup was good, but my beef, ordered medium, arrived overcooked to medium-well and tasted bland and dry, even with the sauce. The highlight of the meal was definitely dessert — the cream puffs with chocolate sauce were delicious, as was the fresh bread, though the baguette was so hard it was nearly inedible. Having dined at Michelin-starred restaurants in the USA, Portugal, and Spain, I expected that same level of creativity and refinement — that special “wow factor” — but unfortunately, it wasn’t there. While the ambiance was charming and the staff excellent, the food felt average for the price and reputation. Would I return? Probably not. There are many other restaurants in Paris I’d rather try before revisiting Benoit.

"Benoit — A Hidden Gem of Parisian Charm and Culinary Excellence"

A hidden gem in Paris, Benoit captures everything there is to love about classic French dining. From the warm and attentive service to the beautifully crafted dishes, every detail feels thoughtful and genuine. The flavors are refined yet comforting, blending creativity with tradition in perfect harmony. The ambiance is intimate and inviting, elegant without a trace of pretension — the kind of place where you instantly feel at home. A true Parisian experience that stays with you long after the last bite.

"Disappointing Experience — Benoit Falls Short of Expectations"

A very disappointing meal and dinner service overall. The cassoulet lacked flavor and had a poor texture, the steak was bland with inconsistent doneness, and half of the escargot was overcooked. The service was passable but unremarkable, lacking the attentiveness and warmth one would expect from a restaurant with such a storied reputation. Benoit sadly falls flat of its legacy and of what should be expected from any high-quality French establishment. The experience felt uninspired, and it’s easy to see why the restaurant lost its Michelin star.
