"A Perfect Anniversary Dinner Overlooking the Seine"

My husband and I had a wonderful experience celebrating our anniversary here. From the rooftop cocktail hour to the five-course seasonal tasting menu, everything was beautifully executed. The food was exquisite, the service attentive and polished, and the ambiance truly unforgettable. It’s easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had — a must-visit for fine dining lovers who appreciate attention to detail and stunning views of the Seine.

"Elegant, Memorable, and Timeless — A Must-Visit in Paris"

An unforgettable experience at La Tour d’Argent. The service was flawless — warm, professional, and attentive from start to finish. The dining room exudes classic Parisian elegance, striking a perfect balance between refinement and comfort. The food was beautifully presented and consistently delicious, each dish showcasing precision and artistry. I began with a glass of champagne from their remarkable wine selection, which set the tone for a wonderful evening — I’m already looking forward to exploring more of their cellar next time. If I had one small critique, the lobster bisque (and one other dish) was a touch too salty, but that hardly detracted from the overall excellence. A truly exceptional dining experience — one I’ll certainly return to on my next trip to Paris.

"An Unforgettable Vegan Fine Dining Experience at La Tour d’Argent"

I’ll admit — I didn’t have high expectations for a vegan dining experience at La Tour d’Argent, given the traditional French menu. I joined close friends for dinner, ready to enjoy the evening even if the food options weren’t ideal for me. But to my pleasant surprise, the restaurant went above and beyond. Our party of five reached out in advance to request a vegan menu (highly recommend doing this), and what followed was one of the best meals — vegan or otherwise — of my life. Every course was beautifully curated, thoughtful, and delicious, crafted specifically to suit a vegan palate without ever feeling like an afterthought. The attention to detail, creativity, and care that went into each dish made me feel truly seen and valued as a guest. This experience didn’t just meet expectations — it exceeded them beyond measure. To the entire team at La Tour d’Argent, thank you for proving that fine dining can be inclusive and extraordinary for everyone. Absolutely fantastic!

"A Timeless Parisian Gem with Exceptional Duck and Stunning Views"

We came here to try the degustation menu, and it turned out to be a memorable experience. The restaurant, perched at the top of a building, offers a beautiful ambiance with breathtaking views of Paris. As one of the city’s oldest and most iconic establishments, it’s especially renowned for its duckling 🦆 — and it truly lives up to the reputation. We began with mini tartlets that were delicious, followed by a flavorful broth that could have used just a touch more salt. The pike-perch quenelles were delicate and well-prepared, while the line-caught bass wasn’t quite to my taste. The highlight, however, was the seasonal duckling — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I learned that the restaurant works closely with a dedicated farm that raises ducks exclusively for them, which explains the exceptional quality. For dessert, the fig dish was outstanding and easily my favorite plate of the evening. The service was warm, professional, and attentive throughout. I highly recommend this restaurant for its exquisite duck, delightful desserts, and the unbeatable view that completes the experience.

"Best Foie Gras and Duck in Paris!"

Absolutely outstanding experience — the foie gras and duck here are the best you’ll find in Paris. The duck with olives is a must-try, rich in flavor and perfectly cooked. Service was excellent from start to finish, and the views of the river made the evening even more special. Highly recommend!

"Disappointing Experience at a Supposed Parisian Icon"

I don’t usually write negative reviews, but my experience here was quite disappointing, especially considering the restaurant’s reputation and Michelin-star status. We came for lunch midweek, and although the dining room was only partially full, the entire meal dragged on for nearly three hours — far too long for a lunch service. Unfortunately, what should have been a refined experience felt disorganized and underwhelming. To be fair, the restaurant’s fame and its beautiful views on a clear day are undeniable. The open kitchen is also a nice touch if you’re seated in the right spot. But beyond that, there wasn’t much that lived up to the hype. The food, while decent, fell short of exceptional. Finding a bone in my fish was surprising — something I’ve never encountered at any fine dining restaurant. The duck was fine but not memorable, and the overall meal lacked the finesse one expects from this level of establishment. The biggest letdown, however, was the service. While one of the support servers was friendly and engaging, the overall experience felt overly formal and mechanical. The sommelier repeatedly approached us even after we mentioned we weren’t drinking. Water service was frustrating — metal cups made it impossible to tell if they were full, and pitchers were placed out of reach. On top of that, our plates were mixed up when served, forcing us to switch them ourselves, which also happened to another nearby table. Toward the end of the meal, the server brought the cheese cart without asking if we wanted it, despite earlier saying we could choose between cheese or their signature crepe — which we were never offered. Taken individually, these issues might seem minor, but together they created a disappointing experience that felt more like dining in a tourist attraction than at a truly world-class restaurant. In a city with so many exceptional places to eat, this one, sadly, did not live up to its reputation.

"A Perfect Return to an Iconic Parisian Gem"

We made our reservation here the moment our trip was confirmed, as our first visit had been a truly treasured memory. The restaurant has since been beautifully renovated — modern, elegant, and full of charm. Service was superb, professional, and flawless from start to finish. We started with the foie gras mousse, my absolute favorite, and the oysters in broccoli crema, which were light and exquisite. For mains, we had the duck breast and blue lobster — both were phenomenal. Dessert was the perfect finale: crêpes prepared tableside, a delightful touch that captured the artistry of fine dining. What a refined, exceptional experience — truly one of Paris’s finest restaurants.

"Disappointing Experience at La Tour d’Argent"

Our recent visit to La Tour d’Argent was, unfortunately, underwhelming. While the ambiance and historic setting held promise, the overall experience fell short of expectations. The service, in particular, was disappointing — the young and seemingly untrained staff appeared overwhelmed and inattentive. There were long delays between courses, and dessert was brought out before the plates were even ready, highlighting a lack of attention to basic service standards. The food itself was mediocre and failed to match the restaurant’s elegant presentation or premium pricing. While we understand that even renowned establishments can have off nights, the combination of inconsistent service and uninspired cuisine leaves us with little reason to return.

"Great Wine List, But in Need of a Refresh"

Soon the cuisine might surpass the haunted wine list. There are still some amazing selections from Alsace and the Rhône, but Burgundy offerings are becoming quite limited. The charm and history remain, yet it feels like the once-legendary cellar could use a thoughtful update to match the evolving menu.

"Disappointing Dinner Despite the Beautiful Setting"

Dinner was quite disappointing overall. The duck breast was tough and rubbery, while the souffléd potatoes were cold and soggy — clearly prepared in advance. Even the soufflé dessert was dense and mealy, lacking the light texture one would expect. While the restaurant offers a beautiful view, elegant ambiance, and traditional service, the quality of the food did not live up to its reputation. When we mentioned the issue with the duck to our waiter, the response was merely a shrug — a surprisingly indifferent reaction at a restaurant of this caliber.

La Tour d’Argent

With a history dating back centuries, this iconic restaurant combines tradition, a legendary wine cellar and river views of the Seine. Dining here is as much about the ambience and legacy as the cuisine itself.
