"A brilliant idea abandoned along the way…"
We were initially delighted to discover this speakeasy, and our excitement built as we tried to find the hidden entrance. From the outside, looking in, the place seemed intriguing — a quirky little neighborhood laundromat with a doorman giving subtle hints about the secret passage. The anticipation was palpable, and the thrill of discovery had us eager… until we finally entered. Inside, our initial satisfaction quickly plummeted. We were greeted by a loud, overbearing hostess who seemed to dominate the almost empty bar. Seating was dictated rather than chosen: high, hard wooden stools at a narrow table, while the sofas and comfy seating remained off-limits. When we requested a more comfortable spot for our second round, we were relocated, only to find ourselves right under a freezing air conditioning vent, making it nearly impossible to enjoy our drinks. The decor was underwhelming, lacking the promised laundry theme; instead, it felt like random flea market items loosely assembled to create a vintage or bohemian vibe. By the end, we were shivering, coughing, and disappointed, feeling that the novelty of the hidden entrance was the only redeeming feature. Sadly, what started as an exciting discovery turned into a highly disappointing experience.
"Cute speakeasy"
This cute little speakeasy is a fun spot for a drink or two! The mixed drinks were well-made and the service was excellent. It’s a small space, so it can get a bit crowded, but that only adds to the cozy, lively vibe. A really clever and enjoyable idea for a speakeasy!
"If you’ve seen this on TikTok – skip it"
The only quirky and cool aspect of this place is its hidden entrance. Once inside, the experience becomes confusing and uninspired. The theme feels unclear, the bar staff appear bored and overheated, and the cocktails are below average, certainly not worth the €12 price tag. While TikTok may have made this spot famous, it does not live up to the hype.
"Really cool place"
This bar is incredibly cool inside, and the entrance is truly one-of-a-kind. The cocktails were excellent—well worth the €12–€13 price tag. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in Paris. The only downside was the queue; even though we were first in line, we still had to wait about 30 minutes.
"Small place but discovering"
This is a small, unassuming spot, but discovering it is truly an experience. You wouldn’t expect that opening a washing machine could lead you into a hidden bar — a fun and clever concept that makes the visit memorable.
"Slurping Splendous"
Tucked away on a street undergoing construction, this bar truly lives up to its laundrette disguise! Step inside and test your magic on the machine by the entrance—if you’ve got the touch, you’ll be welcomed in. Once inside, the cocktail selection is simply divine; I personally loved the Caprina. The single customer toilet is covered in tasteful messages from visitors, adding a charming, London-esque touch. Around the seating area, there are plenty of charging plugs and cozy cushions, making it a comfortable spot to linger. This cocktail bar is an absolute must-visit!
"Pick your time to go"
We came across a list of “secret” bars and decided to try this one. Despite the concept, it’s not very secretive, with a queue and bouncer outside, and we had to wait about 30 minutes to get in. The entrance is certainly novel, leading into a very small bar. The cocktail menu is limited, and calling it a restaurant feels misleading — it’s really a bar with a few snacks. While it was fun and novel to experience, and we were glad we tried it, it’s probably not worth a second visit.
"Fun place for drinks!"
Such a fun place to visit! We loved the unusual entrance, and the upstairs bar had a fantastic vibe. All the staff, including the doorman, were friendly and engaging. Definitely a spot worth checking out!
"Good drinks cool entrance ruined by line and bouncer"
The bar has a nice atmosphere and captures the speakeasy vibe, though it’s hard not to compare it to the iconic cocktail bars in New York, where you rarely see lines outside. Waiting outside a laundry with a bouncer slightly diminishes that “secret entrance” feeling. That said, the drinks were excellent—generously poured, albeit on the pricier side—and the service was attentive and friendly. Overall, a solid spot for cocktails despite a minor hiccup in the entry experience.
"Best cocktails, maybe ever"
This spot may be Instagram-famous, but forget the hype—get here early and let the cocktails surprise you! One I tried had sesame oil—sounds odd, but it was absolutely delicious. The bartender can craft drinks from an extensive recipe book or even take on your own wild ideas. I had a “supposed” Black Russian with double Kahlua, Coke, and a dash of lemon—not a traditional B.R., but it worked perfectly, and the bartender was game to make it! 😆
