The Peninsula Paris

"Amazing Service and Location"
Paris is home to countless 5-star hotels, yet The Peninsula stands out for its ideal size, prime location, and impeccable service. The rooms are beautifully remodeled, with fully electronic controls, comfortable beds, and bathrooms stocked with Peninsula-branded amenities—leaving nothing for guests to request. The lobby, restaurant, and bar strike the perfect balance of elegance and intimacy. Dining on the rooftop one evening and enjoying snacks in the restaurant made our stay even more special. Within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower, and with hotel car service for farther destinations, The Peninsula offers a seamless Parisian luxury experience. A must-visit for anyone seeking first-class comfort and convenience in the City of Light.
"greedy parenthesis"
My husband and I had the pleasure of enjoying a tea time at the Peninsula during our holidays, and it was excellent. The portion for two was more than enough, with a sorbet, two tartlets, an opera, and a generous brioche. The food was delightful, though the lounges and service, while pleasant, didn’t quite match the level of other Parisian palaces we are accustomed to visiting.
"Glorious Hotel"
This fabulous hotel has been beautifully updated with a modern flair while preserving the grandeur of its Parisian palace setting. The rooms are wonderfully soundproofed and designed with elegant comfort, making them perfect for unwinding after a day exploring the city. Service throughout the property is consistently kind, helpful, and a genuine delight. Minor drawbacks include a firm mattress, a small gym, and a disappointing Cantonese restaurant. While not in the absolute city center, the metro is very accessible, making it easy to reach all of Paris. Overall, a highly recommended stay for those seeking style, comfort, and excellent service.
"Disappointed but beautiful view."
We had the chance to enjoy the Peninsula terrace one evening, and the view was truly superb. The relaxed atmosphere was great, but I was disappointed by some inconsistencies in service. Dress code enforcement seemed uneven, with some guests allowed in casual attire while others were refused. Our order took quite a long time, though the cocktail we had—a champagne ginger mix—was delicious. Observing the service at neighboring tables, it was clear some guests received far more generous attention. Overall, I rate the terrace 4 stars, mainly for the breathtaking view and the quality of the cocktail.
"Thank you."
A big thank you to Romain at the welcoming desk for his outstanding availability and attentiveness. His professionalism and friendliness made our arrival smooth and set a positive tone for our stay.
"A French version of the Peninsula…"
My wife and I stayed at the Peninsula Paris in early June 2024, and while the property is undeniably stunning, it didn’t quite live up to the high standards set by other Peninsulas we’ve visited, such as Chicago or Beverly Hills. The hotel is gorgeous—from the lobby to the rooms, the bar, and the restaurants—but a few operational issues made the stay less seamless than expected. On arrival, the wi-fi didn’t work, which was inconvenient as we needed to work from the room. The iPads controlling lights, curtains, and the TV also malfunctioned for a day, requiring multiple visits from staff before being fixed. Water service in the rooms was inconsistent, and arranging a taxi on departure took longer than expected despite calling ahead. While these are minor issues, they were noticeable given the price point. On the positive side, the staff were polite, attentive, and genuinely kind. They sent chocolates and a note to apologize for the tech issues, checked in personally to ask if anything could be done to make our stay better, and gave us a candle at checkout. The location is excellent—steps from the Arc de Triomphe, the Metro, and just a short walk to the Champs-Elysees. L’Oiseau Blanc restaurant is a must-visit, with amazing food, wine, and one of the best views in Paris. Overall, the Peninsula Paris is a beautiful and luxurious hotel with wonderful staff and a prime location. It’s just that a few operational hiccups prevented it from fully meeting the high expectations we’ve come to associate with the Peninsula brand. It’s worth staying for the ambiance and service, but I may explore other luxury options next time in Paris.
"Dream hotel"
I had the pleasure of spending two days at this hotel, and the experience was truly exceptional. From the warm welcome to the comfortable rooms and relaxing atmosphere, everything was perfect. This property is a true haven of peace in the heart of Paris. I highly recommend it and will gladly return.
"loved the elegance ."
My stay at The Peninsula Paris was a blend of opulence, comfort, and a few notable concerns. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the grandeur of the hotel—from the elegant, eye-catching chandeliers in the reception to the meticulously designed spa that flows seamlessly into the rest of the property. My room was a marvel of elegance, with a spacious, spotless bathroom that quickly became my favorite feature. The technology panels, which defaulted to Arabic, were an unexpectedly thoughtful touch, and the attentive service throughout was a highlight. The restaurant staff, particularly Adrien and a remarkably kind female team member, went above and beyond, even delivering a fresh meal to my room after the restaurant had closed. Despite these luxuries, a few issues impacted my experience. My pillow request went unmet, and the laundry chute in my room felt unsafe, raising security concerns. An unsettling episode at the concierge involving my luggage initially left my bags in an insecure location. Early interactions with a staff member at the restaurant entrance, who refused to accept my bag and mentioned bomb threats, were confusing and uncomfortable, though later explained and apologized for. The location of the hotel is convenient, near the Arc de Triomphe and a reasonable distance from other attractions, though it didn’t particularly amaze me. Nevertheless, the kindness, professionalism, and attentiveness of the staff, combined with the hotel’s pristine housekeeping and thoughtful amenities, made a lasting impression. Overall, The Peninsula Paris dazzles with its luxury, attention to detail, and exceptional service. While certain operational and security issues raised concerns, the elegance and care provided by the staff make it a property I would consider revisiting.
"Best hotel I’ve stayed at."
This is without a doubt the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in, from Four Seasons in DC to Sofitel in Athens, and countless five-star properties across Portugal, Spain, and LA. The staff is exceptionally polite and friendly—un-French, in the best way! The bath, shower, and toilet are exquisite, featuring a Toto washlet. The food and bar are superbly equipped, and the elevators are impressively fast. A truly remarkable stay.
"Great facilities, terrible service"
The Peninsula Paris is undeniably stunning, with spectacular architecture, sophisticated design, and luxurious touches throughout. The marble bathrooms with heated floors, TV-equipped bathtubs, automated lighting and curtains, and thoughtful housekeeping—including personalized cable straps—demonstrate meticulous attention to detail. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the fresh fruit in the room was a nice touch, though sometimes not replenished daily. The only flaw in the room itself was the bathroom shower, which leaked significantly and required towels on the floor to prevent water from spreading. Unfortunately, the service did not match the hotel’s high standards. Despite booking during the Indian Summer promotion, which promised an extra night and breakfast for every four stays, we faced repeated obstacles in trying to access this benefit. Multiple staff members, including the manager Anthony, were unaware of the promotion or unhelpful in resolving the issue, leaving us frustrated. Breakfast was costly (€64 per person per day) yet limited in options, slow, and at times served with rudeness. Other service shortcomings included restricted pool hours, incorrect charges for unrequested snacks, and repeated order errors that required constant clarification. While the hotel’s infrastructure and attention to detail are exceptional, the inconsistent service and lack of guest-oriented responsiveness left a disappointing impression. It seems the property prioritizes celebrity or high-profile guests over regular travelers, which detracted from what could have been an otherwise exceptional stay.
