"5etoiles hotel with extraordinary views"

This hotel truly lives up to its star rating, offering a superb view of the Colosseum. The service is friendly, efficient, and consistently up to standard, with a special mention to Sylvia G for her kindness and responsiveness to our requests. The location is ideal for visiting much of Rome, making sightseeing very convenient. The only downside was the restaurant, Aroma, which did not meet expectations—very expensive, with a mediocre sommelier and average dishes. Otherwise, it was an excellent stay.

"Almost flawless"

My wife and I stayed for three nights while visiting Rome earlier this summer, and overall, it was an excellent stay. The hotel is magnificent, with breathtaking views over the Colosseum. It’s conveniently located just a short taxi ride from Termini station or a couple of metro stops followed by a brief walk. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and professional throughout our stay. Our room was small but beautifully furnished, quiet despite overlooking the street, and well-equipped with AC—a necessity during the summer heat. The bathroom was a good size with high-quality toiletries and excellent shower pressure. Breakfast each morning overlooking the Colosseum was a highlight—an oasis of calm amidst the bustling city, with an excellent selection of hot and cold options and attentive, friendly service. The only downside was our visit to The Court Bar on our final evening. Despite booking via the hotel months in advance, we were seated at a table far from the Colosseum with an obstructed view. The bar apparently reserves certain tables for hotel guests, but these were the least desirable. While this was disappointing, it did not overshadow our overall experience. We highly recommend the hotel and would gladly stay here again, though we’d skip the bar next time.

"One Night in Rome, a Lifetime Memory"

We stayed for just one night—an impromptu Roman getaway—and were absolutely blown away. Palazzo Manfredi upgraded us to a spectacular Colosseum Suite in the annex building, complete with a balcony that felt like a private theatre to ancient history. The welcome was VIP-level: a chilled bottle of champagne, nibbles, Acqua di Parma amenities, and one of the best showers I’ve experienced in any hotel, with perfect water pressure. Breakfast was equally impressive, with multilingual service seamlessly switching between Italian, English, and Polish, and a mix of buffet options alongside à la carte dishes cooked to perfection. The terrace views are simply breathtaking. The Front Desk Manager was genuinely warm and offered excellent local tips, helping us avoid the typical tourist traps and enjoy authentic Roman dining and drinks. We ended the night sipping pre-mixed cocktails from the minibar in our pajamas on the balcony, staring at the Colosseum—one of those surreal, cinematic moments you hope to experience when traveling. Although we only stayed a single night, this stay will remain unforgettable.

"Very luxury hotel x"

We stayed at this hotel to celebrate our 15-year wedding anniversary. While the hotel is beautiful and the staff made us feel special with champagne and rose petals in the room, our experience was slightly marred by a missed evening meal booking. Despite confirming our 8pm reservation both by email the night before and at check-in, the booking wasn’t honored. The managers offered to rectify the situation after we had left for dinner and kindly covered our £60 car parking as an apology, which we appreciated. Everything happens for a reason, and we made the most of our last night in Rome. The hotel has a great location for sightseeing, and the staff were attentive and thoughtful. Overall, a lovely stay, though we might consider other options next time.

"Can’t beat the view or location"

The hotel offers an amazing view and unbeatable location. Our room was comfortable, featuring a sitting area and a large bathroom with high-end toiletries. The elevator opened directly into the room, and we were welcomed with a thoughtful gift. For those on a budget, rooms with a view of the Colosseum may be quite pricey, but the experience is truly worth it.

"Charming, helpful front desk team aim to please but hard to overcome information shortcomings and sloppy housekeeping"

The front desk team was charming and helpful, assisting with excursion and dining reservations well in advance of our stay and throughout our visit. The breakfasts at Aroma were excellent, and the view is absolutely stunning. However, we felt underinformed in several key areas. We were not made aware that the Bar was managed in-house, and the Bar manager showed little interest in hotel guests. Additionally, when shown to our room, we received no overview of how amenities worked, including the safe, TV, or minibar, leaving us unsure of available resources. Housekeeping service was repeatedly sloppy, with minor but irritating errors such as towel placement, phone location, bottled water supply, and care with clothing. It’s worth noting that our friends experienced more serious issues in their room. Overall, the hotel has great potential, but with better communication and more consistently trained housekeeping staff, it could easily raise its performance to a truly excellent level.

"Simply exceptional ✨️"

I highly recommend this wonderful hotel, where we spent a magical night celebrating our son’s birthday. Its strategic location directly in front of the Colosseum provides breathtaking views. The staff were exceptionally kind, attentive, and caring, making our stay truly memorable.

"Not a Five Star Experience"

I really wanted to give this hotel five stars, and in many ways it deserves it. Most of the staff were wonderful, the views—especially from suite 200 overlooking the Colosseum—were incredible, and the breakfast service was excellent with stunning vistas. Upon check-in, our rooms weren’t ready, but the staff seated us in the closed bar area with drinks, and even surprised us with a lovely tray of sweets for my daughter’s birthday. The suite itself had a nice living area and floor-to-ceiling windows—simply amazing. However, there were a few issues that prevent me from giving a full five stars. Suite 200 is directly above the bar, which is noisy every night until 1:00 AM, with voices and music clearly audible. Complaints to the front desk did not resolve the issue. Early breakfast service, while promised, was inconsistently delivered to our group. Additionally, a staff member was unwelcoming to my grandson one afternoon, which was disappointing. Lastly, the bar doesn’t open until 6:00 PM and requires reservations, making it inconvenient for returning guests seeking a casual drink. Overall, this is a truly spectacular property, but if you stay here, I would avoid suite 200 due to the noise.

"Excellent Hotel"

The suites are large and comfortable, and the location is simply amazing, offering stunning views of the Coliseum. Breakfast was wonderful, with a wide variety of choices to start the day perfectly. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. I will definitely stay here again!

"Great location"

This small hotel is perfectly located near the Colosseum, making it an ideal base for exploring Rome. The rooms are nicely furnished, though a bit noisy at times. Guests are welcomed with a complimentary bottle of Prosecco and fresh fruit, which is a lovely touch. The staff is friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. The hotel features a bar and an excellent Michelin-star restaurant with breathtaking views, though reservations must be made well in advance. One downside is that hotel guests also need to reserve at the bar, which was not communicated beforehand—something to keep in mind for a nightcap. Breakfast offers a sufficient selection, though not extensive. Overall, the hotel is extremely comfortable and well-deserving of its Small Leading Hotels of the World designation.
