Hotel Artemide

"Very lovely hotel in a good central location."
This hotel is a very lovely place to stay, with an excellent location close to most of Rome’s main attractions. The interiors are beautifully designed, featuring marble, chrome, and chic furnishings that create a stylish and modern atmosphere. The rooms are a bit small but attractive and comfortable, while the bathrooms are particularly impressive. Breakfast was superb, offering a huge variety of foods in a beautifully presented dining room. The staff in the breakfast area and housekeeping were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, though the reception team, while efficient and competent, seemed a bit less personable—understandable given their busy workload. The waiting area for check-in and departures could benefit from better air conditioning and access to cold water, in addition to coffee—a minor suggestion for improvement. One small surprise was being prompted to pay a gratuity via the POS machine at checkout, which felt a little awkward given all the tipping already provided. Overall, this is a very impressive hotel, and I would gladly return on a future visit to Rome.
"Location, accomodations, and staff hit all the marks"
The hotel was absolutely perfect, and the staff made the experience even better. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel genuinely welcome, striking the ideal balance between friendly and professional. Their warmth and attentiveness truly enhanced our stay.
"Good option with some great perks"
The hotel offers a clean and comfortable environment, and our junior suite provided ample space for my wife and me to relax during our week-long stay. The front desk team was exceptional, assisting us with transportation arrangements, restaurant recommendations, and more, making our visit much smoother. We especially appreciated the complimentary mini bar in the room and the included breakfast each morning. Situated on a lively commercial street just a few blocks from the train station, the location is convenient to the Repubblica subway stop while avoiding some of the less appealing areas near Termini. While the historic center, including the Trevi Fountain, is within walking distance, it’s not exactly right on the doorstep. Overall, this hotel is a solid choice for a pleasant stay in Rome.
"Absolutely brilliant stay in a perfect location with the cleanest rooms and delicious breakfast"
What an absolutely wonderful stay! From the moment we arrived, Ivan and his team gave us a warm and gracious welcome, making us feel completely at home. The hotel is spotless, and our room was beautifully furnished, with the cleaning staff doing an outstanding job—truly impressive. Breakfast was superb, with fresh fruit, excellent coffee, and a wide selection of choices. The location is ideal for exploring all the historical sites and enjoying shopping, and we even discovered local gems nearby, like The Gelatist, an ice cream shop with fantastic gelato open until 1 AM. Overall, this hotel offers exceptional hospitality and convenience, and I wish all the staff a wonderful festival season and a Happy New Year.
"Clean rooms and great location"
Our stay at Hotel Artemide was exceptionally comfortable. The beds were cozy, and the rooms were spotless and well-maintained. We enjoyed the convenience of the complimentary mini-bar and fast Wi-Fi. The hotel’s location is excellent, within walking distance of iconic landmarks like the Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist. While the spa prices seemed a bit steep, overall, we had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay.
"Hotel Artemide, Rome Italy"
We stayed at Hotel Artemide in Rome to celebrate our 50th anniversary in September, and the experience was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional—they welcomed us with a bottle of wine and a card, and even allowed us to check in early after our long flight from the US. Our room was lovely, not huge but beautifully appointed, with a small balcony that was a delightful surprise. The complimentary mini-bar, restocked daily, was incredibly convenient. The hotel’s central location makes it very walkable to most of Rome’s key attractions, though we took a cab to the Vatican for our tour—just be cautious with cab drivers and always check the meter and credit card machine. The hotel also arranged a phenomenal tour to Pompeii and Sorrento, which is an absolute must-do. Breakfast was fantastic, with attentive and kind staff who deserve recognition for their dedication. We also recommend using the hop-on hop-off bus to explore the city—it’s a great way to see Rome without overexerting yourself, even for avid walkers like us. Overall, Hotel Artemide is the perfect base for a stay in Rome, combining comfort, convenience, and outstanding service.
"A very good experience"
Hotel Artemide is truly excellent, and this was my second visit. While not a very large hotel, it boasts an ideal location within walking distance of Termini Station. The rooms are on the smaller side but are clean, well-organized, and comfortable, with equally impressive bathrooms. Breakfast is outstanding, and the rooftop bar offers a lovely view, making it a perfect spot to unwind. One of the standout features of the rooms is the electric kettle for tea and the minibar, which includes beer, soft drinks, juice, water, and snacks—all completely free and restocked daily. This thoughtful touch makes a big difference and is something I really value about this hotel. The only minor drawback is that the pillows are quite firm, but this doesn’t detract from my overall impression. I truly enjoy staying here and would happily return.
"A gem in Rome’s crown"
This was our second visit to Hotel Artemide, and it was just as wonderful as the first. Our room was perfect—clean, quiet, well-designed, and complete with a complimentary mini-bar stocked with mineral water, snacks, prosecco, and beer. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the staff. The front desk team is fantastic, and Alessandro and his team in the breakfast room are simply incredible. His professionalism and the way he has trained his staff shine through in every interaction, making guests feel genuinely welcomed. We can’t praise their kindness enough and will certainly return!
"Almost Faultless Hotel (except for one easy fix please!)"
Hotel Artemide is a charming hotel, nearly flawless in many ways. The location is superb, within easy walking distance of all major sights. The rooms offer complimentary water and wine, and the staff are friendly, helpful, and multilingual. Breakfast is a real highlight, making our stay even more enjoyable. However, there is a notable safety concern for solo travelers. The room lacks an internal door lock, chain, or peephole, which made me feel uneasy. The front desk mentioned a blue light outside the door indicating the room is occupied, but this is simply an indicator, not a security feature. On day five, a housekeeping error left a universal staff key card in my room, which could have allowed access to any room. I returned it immediately, but to feel safe at night, I had to use a door wedge. My suggestion to Hotel Artemide: adding proper door locks or bolts would significantly improve guest security and peace of mind, particularly for solo travelers. Despite this issue, the hotel remains a wonderful place to stay.
"A Home not a Hotel"
Hotel Artemide feels more like a home than a hotel. The interiors are beautiful, but the true charm lies in the caring and attentive staff. From the moment you arrive, you are greeted warmly and made to feel part of a family. Entering your room, everything is perfectly arranged and inviting. During our stay, my wife never once said “let’s go back to the hotel”—she always said, “let’s go home,” which perfectly captures our experience. Breakfast was a delight every morning, and by the second day, the staff already knew our preferences, serving them with genuine enthusiasm and a smile. Our room attendant was exceptional, keeping the room immaculate and the sheets fresh, making it a joy to return after a day of sightseeing. What sets this hotel apart is the genuine care the staff show for each guest as an individual. We cannot speak highly enough of our stay and look forward to returning “home” to Hotel Artemide whenever we visit Rome.
