Grand Hotel Palace Rome

"Balcony in Rome…"
Good location but hotel itself not really 5 star accomodation if compared to other five star accomodation in Rome. Rooms are dated but clean. Balcony however is a luxury and did not disappoint.
"Decent Hotel in a Good Location"
Check-in was smooth, and the staff were pleasant and welcoming. The room was a bit dated, though the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had very limited counter space, and the bathtub was quite difficult to step into and out of for showering. Additionally, there was a step up to the separate toilet area, which may be inconvenient for some guests.
"Good htel"
The rooms were good and reasonably clean, though the bathrooms could use an update. Both the breakfast and dinner buffets were good, with a nice variety of options. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and communicated well in English.
"Amazing staff"
Amazing staff and a great location. We walked to many major landmarks in 15 minutes or less. While not right in the very center, it is close enough to walk to the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Villa Borghese Park, and more. The hotel is also conveniently located near the metro, with Termini Station about a 10-minute walk away. The hotel is rated five stars, though the style is quite different from what many travelers may be accustomed to in the U.S. The room was clean and a decent size. One thing to note is that there is only one very small elevator. If you are unable to use the stairs, be sure to allow extra time when going to and from your room.
"Friendly and welcoming"
This was our first trip to Rome and we were welcomed to the Hotel by Mirko, who throughout our stay ensured we made the most of the city with helpful hints and advice. The Hotel is clean and comfortable and within walking distance of the Spanish steps and Trevi fountain. Arranging a Taxi is no problem and all the staff were helpful and courteous. Breakfast was good with a varied choice and a relaxing drink in the bar in the evening after a day spent sightseeing was welcome.
"Superb"
An absolutely beautiful hotel with wonderful staff and the accommodations were excellent. My friend had an issue with her room and it was dealt with within minutes of her commenting to the front desk. My room was perfect with plenty of storage and the bed was more than comfortable. Cleanliness was second to none. The staff were very friendly, helpful and more importantly, cheerful. Breakfast was a buffet style and more than plentiful to set you up for the day. We also had occasion to have dinner in the restaurant, where we were served by Vlad who was most helpful and welcoming. I would absolutely recommend any traveler to stay here.
"Excellent Hotel"
A travel agency booked us at this hotel for our honeymoon, and we had a wonderful stay. The reception staff were friendly at check-in and provided us with a map and clear directions to the main attractions. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, including a Nespresso machine. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a welcome relief after hot days exploring the city. We also booked time at the on-site spa for a massage and to use the jacuzzi and pool, both of which were very enjoyable. We dined at the hotel restaurant for a three-course meal, which was delicious, and the daily breakfast was more than adequate. There’s also a lovely terrace where you can enjoy afternoon drinks. The staff were consistently kind and helpful, especially at breakfast and dinner, and they had no trouble arranging taxis for us. The location is very convenient—within walking distance of restaurants, the Trevi Fountain, and the Spanish Steps, with easy taxi rides to the train station, the Colosseum, and other major sights.
"Wonderful Stay in Rome"
Our stay at the Grand Hotel Palace was absolutely perfect. The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully appointed, complete with a wonderful balcony. We were greeted with a bottle of Prosecco and a personalized note from the staff—a lovely and thoughtful touch. The location was ideal, within walking distance of both the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful, answering every question and arranging taxis with ease. A special thank you to Manuel at the desk, who checked with us before we left if we had everything from our safe—thanks to him, we didn’t leave behind our passports. We would have been in such a bind without his attentiveness! We are so grateful for the excellent service and highly recommend the Grand Hotel Palace in Rome. We absolutely loved it!
"10 euros per person per night city tax !"
We had no complaints about the room or the service, which were in line with typical European standards. The small, intimate spa was a nice place to relax after a full day of walking, as Rome requires a lot of time on foot to explore its main attractions. Our first visit to the spa was great, with pleasantly warm water. However, during our second visit the water was cold. The spa staff advised that it would be warmer next time, but unfortunately it remained cold on our following visit. At check-out, we were charged a Rome city tax of €10 per person per day, totaling €80 for our four-night stay. After checking online, this seemed higher than the usual rate, which is generally around €5 per person per day.
"Short break"
We stayed at the hotel for a few days after our cruise. The location isn’t ideal, and we felt a little unsafe walking back at night. Overall, I would rate this as a four-star property rather than a true five-star hotel, possibly receiving its five-star rating due to the spa facilities, which we did not use. The breakfast room is set in a beautiful, ornate space, but unfortunately it lacks atmosphere. The chairs and tables do not match, are uncomfortable, and do not reflect a five-star standard. Simple touches such as tablecloths could make the space feel far more inviting and luxurious. There is also no evening bar available for a drink upon returning to the hotel. Breakfast itself was limited and of poor quality. While the bedroom was generously sized, it lacked the refined luxury expected of a five-star hotel. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
