"Unforgettable Romantic Dinner with Exceptional Service"
The food was incredible—especially the carbonara, which was flavorful, creamy, and perfectly balanced. A special mention goes to Giovanni, whose warmth, charm, and passion made us feel truly welcome. He selected the perfect Brunello di Montalcino, presenting it with care, and even surprised us with roses, instantly elevating the evening. Our meal concluded with a cannoli he personally made, the sweetest finish to a memorable and romantic night in Rome. Thank you, Giovanni! 🥰
"Disappointing Experience at Trattoria"
While the service at Trattoria is very friendly and the decor is pleasant, unfortunately, these were the only positives. The fried zucchini flowers were overly greasy, lacked filling, and were completely tasteless. The carbonara with truffles and pancetta, recommended by the staff, was a major disappointment—rather than a smooth, creamy sauce, it was a lumpy, thick mass of curdled cheese. The dish felt like a poor imitation of Italian cuisine, seemingly tailored for tourists rather than those familiar with authentic carbonara. Coupled with high prices, I cannot recommend this restaurant.
"A True Gem in the Heart of Rome"
Trattoria Antonio is an absolute gem in central Rome and one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Every dish we tried was exquisite, starting with the home-baked bread that simply melted in your mouth, followed by the delicious burrata paired with cherry tomatoes bursting with flavor. The highlights were the mains: the truffle carbonara and the chateaubriand—both absolutely amazing, with the chateaubriand practically melting in your mouth. We couldn’t leave without tasting the tiramisu, which was equally memorable. To top it all off, the staff were fantastic, attentive, and friendly. Highly recommended—just be sure to reserve in advance!
"A Great Stop Near the Pantheon"
We stopped here just before visiting the Pantheon and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is efficient, well-priced, and perfect for a solid Roman meal without any tourist-trap vibes. Service was fast and friendly—ideal if you’re on a schedule. The carbonara stood out as especially good: creamy, peppery, and prepared the proper Roman way. Everything else we tried was solid and satisfying. Tip: This is a great option if you’re hungry before or after visiting the Pantheon. No fuss, just good food and quick service.
"An Unforgettable Dining Experience Near the Pantheon"
Absolutely incredible from start to finish! This beautiful restaurant, located right next to the Pantheon, boasts a refined and elegant atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally professional, welcoming, and attentive, perfectly balancing upscale service with warm hospitality. We enjoyed the tacos and a couple of pastas—every dish was phenomenal, with top-tier flavors, presentation, and quality. A must-try in Rome, and I would absolutely return. Highly recommended!
"Decent Spot Near the Pantheon"
This restaurant near the Pantheon looked promising based on reviews, so we decided to try it. We had bread, salad, cacio e pepe, and a pasta dish with shrimp and artichokes. While the wine and service were great and the limoncello was a nice touch, the food itself fell a bit flat. The bread was dense, seemed reheated, and possibly a day old, which was disappointing. Overall, a decent experience but not memorable for the food.
"An Unforgettable Birthday Dining Experience"
We stumbled upon this restaurant without a reservation, and it became the highlight of our trip. From the very first moment, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, seamlessly arranging a table inside, then outside, and back inside exactly as we wished—without any fuss. The food was outstanding. The saffron risotto with tender veal was perfection, the pasta with mushrooms and truffles was rich and aromatic, and the meat dishes, including the osso buco, were cooked flawlessly. A delicate rosé wine complemented every dish beautifully. For dessert, we were treated to the most delicious tiramisu as a birthday surprise—a thoughtful touch that made the evening even more memorable. A special thank you to Kelly, whose genuine warmth, attention, and care made our birthday celebration truly unforgettable. This restaurant exceeded all expectations with excellent food, flawless service, and an atmosphere full of heart. Highly recommended—don’t miss this gem if you’re in the city!
"Lovely Dinner with Excellent Service"
We had a very nice dinner at this restaurant. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the Amatriciana was a standout. The staff was attentive and kind, even accommodating our specific table request, which made the evening even more enjoyable.
"A Fantastic Roman Dining Experience at Trattoria Antonio"
Trattoria Antonio is one of the best restaurants I’ve tried in Rome. The food was excellent—high quality, full of flavor, and fairly priced. The atmosphere is fantastic, especially when sitting outside, giving a truly unique and very Roman experience. The service was wonderful, with our waitress being friendly and welcoming throughout. The restrooms were clean, though reaching them requires climbing a few stairs. One thing I noticed, not just here but in many Roman restaurants, is that the toilet seat is often removed—surprising at first, but apparently quite common in Italy. Overall, highly recommended for anyone seeking delicious food, warm service, and an authentic Roman dining experience.
"Charming Neighborhood Tavern with Solid Traditional Fare"
This friendly neighborhood tavern serves simple, honest, and traditional dishes. While it’s worth a visit, it may not be a must-see for everyone. The tagliatta was excellent, both the fillet and the regular cut, and the panatella and artichoke dishes stood out. The wine selection is limited, mostly table wines, but very affordable. Overall, we had a filling meal for six, including two bottles of wine, and the total came to €244 (€260 with tip).
