"Excellent stay in Mexico City – best concierge team ever!!!!!"
My friends and I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton in Mexico City last month, and the experience exceeded our expectations. The hotel is luxurious, stylish, and offers wonderful service throughout. Breakfast was superb, but the highlight of our stay was the outstanding concierge team. They were incredibly fast, attentive, and dedicated, ensuring all our reservations and plans went smoothly. A special thank-you to Paris Mejia, Alyssa Chein, Gabriel Flores, and Francisco Jarpa for making our stay truly memorable.
"Ritz Carlton – Mexico City"
This was my second time staying at a Ritz-Carlton, the first being in Abu Dhabi, so I had high expectations. The building itself is impressive and impeccably maintained. Upon arrival, I was escorted to the main reception on what I believe was the 26th floor. The room was spacious, clean, and well-kept throughout my week-long stay. Breakfast offered a broad selection, ranging from continental European options to local dishes, catering to a variety of tastes. In the evenings, the bar/lounge featured loud music, which is worth considering when booking. The gym is open 24/7, though the equipment is somewhat limited, and the hotel also has spa facilities, which I did not use. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with excellent facilities and service, but it doesn’t quite match the experience of the Abu Dhabi Ritz-Carlton.
"Excellent service, excellent food great location"
This hotel is a beautiful property with top-notch service at every touchpoint—from pick-up to concierge, bellmen, restaurant staff, and bar team. Special thanks to the concierge for their excellent assistance in securing reservations at Baltra, Kaito, and Hanky Panky. Carlotta’s bar stood out with outstanding drinks that, in my opinion, surpass even 50 Mils. The breakfast was phenomenal, on par with Sofitel’s offerings, with highlights like molletes and emmoladas that alone make the stay worthwhile. I was disappointed that the chef removed the green ceviche, my favorite dish, and I also missed the margarita with chapulín salt, though substituting mezcal for tequila was still excellent. A minor concern is the shower, as water can spill onto the floor and become slippery—on the last day, I slipped on my knee. Housekeeping was very good, though we noticed glasses on our balcony table remained for two days; extra hangers were provided promptly. The pool is nice, though slightly cooler than preferred compared to Sofitel’s heated pool. Overall, the hotel excels in service, food, and drinks, making it an amazing choice. I would definitely recommend staying here.
"Fabulous Hotel with Exceptional Staff and Stunning Views"
This property is absolutely fabulous, with amazing staff who are personable, professional, and always ready to assist. The rooms are gorgeous, many with terraces overlooking the park and city, offering a truly memorable experience. I did encounter noisy neighbors on a terrace late at night, which required a room change—an inconvenience—but the staff handled it with exceptional care and efficiency. Be prepared for high prices at the hotel’s restaurants and bars: a martini costs $28, a hamburger and fries $38, and an American breakfast around $70. Rooms are stocked with about four bottled waters and coffee pods for espresso, but note that turndown service is not provided. Also, allow plenty of extra time for airport transfers, as travel can take over an hour each way. Despite these minor points, I would definitely recommend this hotel for its service, comfort, and stunning views.
"Excellent Stay In The Heart Of The City"
The Ritz-Carlton Mexico City is an outstanding hotel that perfectly blends modern luxury with impeccable service. The property feels fresh and contemporary, featuring beautifully designed rooms that are both stylish and comfortable. One of the standout features is the breathtaking views, whether of the city skyline or Chapultepec Park. The staff consistently goes above and beyond, delivering personalized service that makes every stay memorable. Its central location provides easy access to top attractions, dining, and cultural experiences, making it ideal for both leisure and business travelers. Overall, the Ritz-Carlton Mexico City offers a flawless combination of elegance, comfort, and world-class hospitality—highly recommended for any visit to the city.
"Excellent service"
The service at this hotel was excellent, and our room with a terrace offered incredible views. The in-room amenities were fabulous, as expected at a property of this caliber. However, there were a few areas that could be improved. The shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor, and only the rain shower head worked, which was a bit frustrating. Soundproofing in the room could also be better, as we could hear music, footsteps, and hallway chatter from neighboring rooms. For vegans, the dining options were outstanding. The enchiladas verdes made vegan were exceptional for breakfast or lunch, the watermelon appetizer at dinner was delicious, and the cauliflower main course was very good as well. Despite minor issues, the combination of service, views, and thoughtful dining makes this hotel a great choice.
"Amazing stay here!"
We traveled a long way to the Ritz-Carlton with high expectations, and we have been absolutely blown away by the service so far (staying until Monday). If I were to make one suggestion—book the Club Room. Wow! You will be incredibly spoiled. The food and drinks are outstanding, and the club lounge staff deserve a special shout-out for being exceptional in every way. The room itself is fantastic—spacious, comfortable, and beautifully appointed. We’re already dreading leaving, but there’s no doubt we will be returning. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable!
"Grand building, well located with impressive views"
I highly recommend this hotel for discerning travelers seeking a well-located, modern, and state-of-the-art property in Mexico City. Nearly all rooms, starting from the 39th floor, offer exceptional views, and the terrace is a fantastic feature that adds to the experience. Service is prompt, attentive, and detail-oriented, making every stay comfortable and seamless. The only minor area for improvement is the cleanliness of the rooms, but aside from that, this hotel is truly exceptional.
"Fantastic Stay"
We stayed in a suite on the 46th floor, offering nearly 270-degree views of the park and city surroundings. The suite appeared recently furnished, with contemporary, luxurious finishes, and included a breakfast area, living room, dining room, and a kitchen with its own service entrance—truly immense! The room was impeccably clean, with twice-daily housekeeping and thoughtful touches like chocolate-covered strawberries to celebrate our anniversary. The staff were exceptionally kind, and breakfast was delivered promptly each day, including special requests for water, tea, and modifications. The hotel is very well-managed, with staff attentive to every detail—sometimes to a fault! Minor inconveniences included the elevator system, which required transfers to reach the pool and spa, and occasional waits for the main elevator. I also wished for a messaging system like WhatsApp, which would make placing requests while out of the hotel easier. Despite these small issues, this property is a top choice for a luxury stay in Mexico City, offering breathtaking views, spacious accommodations, and outstanding service.
"Luxurious, but nothing special"
I used points for my stay, as I wouldn’t otherwise pay around $1,400 USD per night. That said, there were many positives. The reception staff were extremely friendly and likely upgraded us to a room with a stunning view, thanks to my Platinum Elite status. The room itself was impressive, with floor-to-ceiling windows and even a fantastic view from the bathtub. The staff throughout the hotel were attentive and welcoming, the bed was very comfortable, and the room was quiet. On the downside, the hotel lacks a traditional lobby where you can relax, have a drink, or socialize—something I’ve appreciated at other Ritz-Carltons and Waldorf Astorias. The entrance feels more like an office building, and reaching your room requires changing elevators: first to the reception floor, then another to your room level. The room’s modern, minimalistic design can feel somewhat “bare,” as if newly furnished. Breakfast is à la carte rather than a buffet, and the location isn’t ideal for those wanting to stay in Polanco, although it’s accessible by a walk or Uber. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its spectacular views and excellent service, especially for a short stay of one or a few nights.
