"Great Service but Very Old hotel."
The service at this hotel is truly outstanding — 11/10 for attentiveness and care! However, the property itself is very dated and in need of serious maintenance. The carpet in the room was torn, light switches were broken, and some cabinets didn’t close properly. On the positive side, the room layout with separate living and sleeping areas is excellent, especially for families who want space to spread out.
"New Image"
The Mexico City Marriott Reforma is currently undergoing renovations as part of its Premium category upgrade. The service remains excellent across all areas, and many updates are positive: carpet was replaced with wood flooring, the rooms feel brighter and more modern with new décor, and the tubs were swapped for rain and phone showers — all welcome improvements. However, some changes are less successful. The removal of the separation between the living room and bedroom makes the space feel bigger but lets in noise from the hallway and elevator, which is very disruptive. The bathroom sink was relocated to a tiny space between the bedroom and living area, and the vanity mirror was removed. New furniture has been added but feels very low quality, with a table that looks out of place. Overall, while the renovations bring modern touches, the room now feels more like a lower-tier business hotel rather than a Premium Marriott property.
"Urgently needs repair and improve breakfast and room Service"
The hotel feels like it’s past its glory days. The large rooms are outdated and in urgent need of renovation, with furnishings and décor showing their age. Breakfast was disappointing, offering few bread options, overcooked eggs, and fruits that weren’t fresh. Room service didn’t fare much better — the fillet I ordered looked poorly prepared rather than properly cooked. The only bright spot was the friendly and efficient staff, who provided attentive care despite the shortcomings of the property.
"Excellent only missing…"
The breakfast at Marquis Reforma Hotel was rich and varied, offering plenty of options to start the day. However, the fruit selection lacked quality, as many items were dry and lacked flavor. Additionally, the bathrooms could benefit from some maintenance, as minor issues were noticeable during our stay.
"Excellent hotel!"
Las Alcobas offers excellent service and a superb location. Every member of the staff — from concierge to restaurant team and housekeeping — provides attentive and friendly service, making the stay very comfortable. The hotel is incredibly convenient, with restaurants, a pharmacy, exchange houses, and OXXO all within a five-minute walk. We will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel!
"Méridien Hotel review"
Our room at Marquis Reforma Hotel worked well for our family of three adults. The beds were comfortable, and the pullout sofa was perfectly functional. The room was clean, though the carpet and main furniture could use updating. We accidentally left the room card out of the entrance slot, which powers the room, and returned to a warmer room than expected — a small learning moment! Service throughout our stay was very good, and the continental breakfasts were a great way to start each day. The hotel is on a busy intersection but situated in a nicer area, and overall we were very pleased with our stay.
"Fantastic staff"
I cannot praise Las Alcobas enough — the hotel and its staff were phenomenal. I’m usually hard to please, but every aspect of our five-night stay exceeded expectations. The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and accommodating, always seeming to ask themselves, “How can I delight our guests?” By the end of each day, they felt like friends, checking in on us and making sure everything was perfect. Truly, this was a wonderfully pleasant experience. WELL DONE, WELL DONE, WELL DONE!
"Location and Experience were great!"
We had a wonderful stay at Marquis Reforma Hotel. Jose, the bartender, and Hugo, who served breakfast, were exceptional — their attention to guests made us feel truly valued. The property and rooms were well maintained, and the gym offered a good variety of equipment. The pool and sauna were perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the city. While there were demonstrations across the street during our visit, which made getting an Uber a bit tricky, this wasn’t the hotel’s fault — just a reminder that it’s a busy, vibrant city. Overall, the hotel’s location, amenities, and outstanding staff make it a place we would happily return to.
