"Budget Friendly but You Get What you Pay for."
This all-inclusive hotel is budget-friendly and generally well-maintained, though the property itself is dated. The main buffet restaurant offers a variety of food, but it can become repetitive as many items are repeated the following day. Unfortunately, the biggest issue during our stay was the behavior of some guests. Many appeared focused on getting their “money’s worth” and often drank excessively from early in the morning. We witnessed multiple incidents of intoxication, loud arguments, and even a domestic dispute that we had to help staff intervene with—an experience that was both uncomfortable and embarrassing. While the hotel staff were professional and attentive throughout, these disruptions significantly affected our stay. Perhaps restricting alcohol service until noon could improve the overall guest experience.
"Happy year 2026!"
This wasn’t our first stay at Hacienda SPA Vallarta Buenaventura, and overall the service remains very good. The staff is attentive and friendly, making for a pleasant experience. However, the facilities could use some attention, as both the common areas and rooms felt slightly worn. In the room I stayed in, the bathroom lacked proper ventilation and we weren’t provided with bottled water, which was inconvenient. On a high note, the end-of-year celebration was spectacular—kudos to the entire team for organizing such a memorable event.
"Everything, fine except missing contacts"
As a suggestion, the hotel could improve guest convenience by providing more power outlets in the rooms. Additionally, the current key card system could be updated so that each guest receives their own card rather than requiring one card per room, allowing all members easier access and independence.
"Recommended"
We had a very pleasant stay at Hacienda Buenaventura. The property is clean, quiet, and well-maintained, with meals that are particularly enjoyable. The restaurant Sabores de México stands out with its rich three-course meals and attentive service from Alfredo Bobadilla, assisted by hostess Monserrath Rangel. A tip: it’s best to reserve this restaurant early in the morning, as tables are limited. It’s important to note that there are two Hacienda Buenaventura hotels—one exclusively for adults facing the sea, and this one, which does not have direct sea views. While we initially thought we had beach access, a convenient hotel shuttle runs every 10 minutes to the beach a few blocks away, which offers beds, umbrellas, and a bar. Overall, the attentive service, great food, and shuttle convenience made for a very enjoyable experience.
"Good place to rest and enjoy the food"
We had a fantastic experience at Hacienda SPA Vallarta Buenaventura. The food was excellent, and the service from the hotel team was exceptional. Special recognition goes to the restaurant manager Álvaro, along with Reyna, Joselin, and the waiters Lamberto and Roberto, for their professionalism. Our special dinner, attended by Alfredo, was particularly memorable thanks to his attentive and thoughtful service. Overall, everything was handled with great care and professionalism—truly a top-notch experience.
"Quality warmth service and location cost"
This hotel offers great value for money, with very friendly and helpful staff who go out of their way to assist. The only drawback was the bathroom facilities in our room, which could use an upgrade—specifically in room 208—but overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Our stay at Hacienda SPA Vallarta Buenaventura has been wonderful. The restaurant experience stood out—Alfredo was exceptionally attentive, and the food was top-notch. The atmosphere was charming and intimate, making dining a real pleasure. Beyond that, the rest of our vacation was equally enjoyable, thanks to the friendly and attentive staff throughout the property.
"Good value"
This hotel offers a great location in a safe neighborhood, just a short walk to the beach and with easy Uber or bus access to other parts of the city. The staff is friendly and the property is clean. The breakfast buffet is decent, making it a comfortable and convenient choice for travelers.
