Le Méridien Mexico City

"Wonderful stay. Exceptional staff, especially Carla who went above and beyond to return my forgotten coat."
We stayed at Le Méridien Mexico City from December 26 to January 3 with my wife and daughter, and our experience was outstanding from start to finish. The entire staff was exceptional—professional, attentive, and consistently welcoming. A special mention goes to Carla at the front desk, who went above and beyond after I accidentally left my coat at the hotel, ensuring it was safely returned. This level of care is rare and truly appreciated. As a Titanium member who has stayed at many hotels, I can honestly say that the team at Le Méridien is one of the most dedicated and genuinely caring I have encountered. The housekeeping staff also deserves recognition for their impeccable service, efficiency, and attention to detail throughout our stay. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for making our visit so memorable. We will gladly return on our next trip to Mexico City.
"New Image"
This hotel, currently undergoing renovations as part of its “Premium” Marriott category, offers excellent service across all areas, but the room updates bring mixed results. On the positive side, the rooms now have wood flooring instead of carpet, modern colors that brighten the space, and rain or phone showers replacing the tubs. These changes give a more contemporary and refreshed feel. However, several downsides are noticeable. The previous separation between the bedroom and living area has been removed, which opens up the space but allows hallway and elevator noise to travel easily. The bathroom sink has been relocated between the living room and bedroom in a very tight area, and the vanity mirror was removed. The new furniture feels low quality, with some pieces resembling casual dining furniture rather than premium hotel furnishings. Overall, while service remains excellent, the renovations have somewhat lowered the perceived standard of the rooms compared to what is expected from a “Premium” Marriott property.
"Excellent hotel!"
This hotel offers excellent service and a superb location in Mexico City. Every member of the staff—from concierge to restaurant and housekeeping—provided attentive and friendly service throughout our stay. The location is incredibly convenient, with restaurants, a pharmacy, exchange houses, and an OXXO just a five-minute walk away. Everything you need is within easy reach. We will definitely return to this hotel and highly recommend it to others seeking comfort, service, and convenience.
"Excellent only missing…"
very rich and varied breakfast, lack more quality in the fruits that are dry and lack flavor. In the bathrooms a little maintenance is missing in the hotel bathroom
"Fantastic staff"
I can’t say enough about this hotel and its incredible staff. I’m usually hard to please, but everything during our stay was phenomenal. The staff were consistently kind, friendly, and accommodating, always going the extra mile to make us feel welcomed and valued—as if their goal was to delight every guest. After spending five nights there, the team felt like friends, checking in on how our day was going and making our stay exceptionally pleasant. Truly, the level of care and attention was remarkable. WELL DONE, WELL DONE, WELL DONE!!!
"Méridien Hotel review"
The room layout worked well for our family of three adults, with comfortable beds and a pullout sofa that functioned perfectly. The room was clean, though the carpet and some furniture in the main area could use updating. We learned that leaving the room without one key card in the entrance slot—needed to power the room—resulted in a warmer room upon our return. Service throughout our stay was very good, and the continental breakfasts provided a great start to each day. The hotel sits on a busy intersection in a nicer area of Mexico City, making it convenient for exploring. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and found it comfortable and well-suited for a family.
"Urgently needs repair and improve breakfast and room Service"
The hotel clearly had its days of glory, but now the large rooms feel very dated and are in urgent need of renovation. The furnishings and décor are old, and the overall impression is of a property past its prime. Breakfast was disappointing, with limited bread options, overcooked eggs, and fruits that were not fresh. Room service dining was also underwhelming—the fillet we ordered appeared processed rather than a quality cut of meat. The one bright spot was the staff, who were consistently friendly and efficient, providing excellent service despite the shortcomings in the facilities and food.
"Location and Experience were great!"
We had a wonderful stay at the hotel, with standout service from Jose, the bartender, and Hugo in the breakfast restaurant. Their attention and care made us feel truly valued as guests and travelers. During our visit, there were demonstrations and protests across the street and throughout the city. While this wasn’t a fault of the hotel, it would have been helpful to receive a heads-up if the staff were aware. Nonetheless, it’s a reminder of the vibrancy and energy of a big city like Mexico City. The property and rooms were well-maintained, and the amenities were excellent. The gym offered a variety of equipment, and the pool and sauna were perfect for relaxing. Combined with a fantastic location, we would happily stay here again.
