JW Marriott Hotel Mexico City Polanco

"Great views from the hallway"
As we made our way to our room, the hallway offered stunning views of Mexico City and the surrounding mountains. However, the room itself faced the other wing of the hotel, which was an odd design choice. Aside from that, the hotel was very nice, with comfortable beds and friendly, attentive staff. The Concierge Lounge provided a good breakfast, though it was unfortunately closed in the afternoon and after dinner, limiting its use. Overall, a pleasant stay with some minor layout drawbacks.
"Perfect location and amazing service"
The JW Marriott Mexico City delivers a consistently high-quality experience from start to finish. Recently renovated, the rooms and common areas feel fresh, modern, and upscale. The hotel’s bar and restaurant are excellent, offering convenient options for both drinks and meals. Service was consistently attentive and professional, and the location is ideal—just steps from everything Polanco has to offer. A comfortable and well-situated choice for both business and leisure travelers in Mexico City.
"I miss the old JW"
I have been a regular guest at this hotel on all my trips to Mexico City since it first opened. After the renovations, I took a break and tried other hotels, but I’ve returned twice in the past two months. The service remains excellent and consistent. However, the newly renovated lounge feels like a downgrade compared to the old one. With higher rates now, there are other options that may offer better value, such as Kimpton Virgilio or Las Alcobas, which, while sometimes more expensive, provide more for your money.
"Bar hopping in Polanco"
This hotel offers a great location, high-quality service, and overall excellent hotel standards. The recent renovations give it a fresh, modern feel. A highlight is the bar in the steakhouse, which provides a fun and lively atmosphere. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.
"Excellent hotel"
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room offered an amazing view, and the room service provided exceptionally nice amenities, including a selection of treats by the pool. However, there was an issue with the spa service on Saturday, March 1st. I had booked a massage through an external company, and although we arrived 10 minutes early, we ended up waiting over 40 minutes due to delays. The receptionist, Miss Melina, tried to accommodate us with tea, extra massage time, and a discount, but the repeated insistence created discomfort, and we ultimately had to decline. Unfortunately, this delay caused us to miss our final dinner at the hotel, and we only had time to order room service that evening. On a positive note, the massage therapists were excellent. Paulina was attentive and helped relieve tension in my back and legs, while Nadia provided great care for my husband’s neck pain. Their warmth and professionalism were much appreciated. Despite the spa mishap, the overall experience was very good, and we look forward to returning.
"Excellent hotel in THE BEST neighborhood!"
We thoroughly enjoyed our very comfortable stay at the JW Marriott Mexico City. After much research and debating between The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, and Four Seasons, we are thrilled we chose this hotel, primarily because of its fantastic neighborhood. Unlike the other hotels located in busy business districts, the JW Marriott is just a 5–7 minute walk to the charming Polanco main area, filled with lovely restaurants, bars, and shops, and only about a 10-minute walk to high-end designer stores like Hermès, Louis Vuitton, and Gucci. Uber rides to other parts of the city, like Roma or the historic center, are very affordable. The hotel itself has been recently renovated and feels modern and inviting. The M Club offered a great selection of food, the beds were very comfortable, and the shower had excellent water pressure. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Mexico City.
"4 stars is more accurate"
The staff at this hotel were truly wonderful, providing attentive and friendly service throughout our stay. The hotel itself was fine, but it did not feel like a full 5-star property. I expected a higher level of detail, luxury, and style, which was lacking. For instance, there were no bathrobes, minimal bathroom lighting, no business lounge, and the room was fairly average. Given the pricing, it felt overpriced for what was offered. Nonetheless, I would still rate the hotel 4 stars for its excellent staff, convenient location, cleanliness, and the quality of Corsi Restaurant.
"Excellent!"
Excellent experience! The staff were friendly and attentive, making our stay very enjoyable. The hotel’s location in Polanco is incredible, right across from the park, with plenty of nearby attractions. The gym is well-equipped, the pool area is pleasant, and although the lounge was closed, we were given access to the hotel’s restaurant. The room and bed were comfortable and of high quality, rounding out a fantastic stay.
