Air Serbia

"Not flawless, but trusted airline service"
I wouldn’t say this airline is flawless, but they did help us resolve all the issues we faced during our journey. In the end, we were satisfied with their service and happy to have flown with them.
"Ok for short regional flights!"
I flew with Air Serbia twice – from Tivat to Belgrade and later from Belgrade to Skopje. Both flights were on a 31-year-old ATR aircraft, which felt a bit outdated and had a slight smell. That said, the entire crew, from check-in to onboard, was polite and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised to receive snacks during the flight – a rare perk these days. While the service was good, the fare wasn't exactly cheap at around €70 per leg. No issues with luggage, but overall, Air Serbia seems like a hit-or-miss experience depending on the route and aircraft.
"Regular Low-Cost"
The booking process with Air Serbia was quite frustrating—it’s not possible to book one passenger with checked luggage and another without in the same reservation, which forced us to book separately. However, the actual flight experience was much smoother. At check-in in Niš, we were assigned neighboring seats, which was a pleasant surprise. The flight itself went smoothly, and we even received a complimentary bottle of water, which I didn’t expect. The flight attendants were polite and friendly, contributing to a positive in-flight experience despite the booking hassle.
"Bad experiance."
1-Star Review: AirSerbia – Dishonest, Inflexible, and Terrible Customer Service Avoid AirSerbia at all costs – this airline operates like a scam. I specifically requested a flexible ticket when booking my round trip, but was misled into purchasing a fare that offered virtually no flexibility. When I tried to change my return date, I was shocked to learn that it would cost over €550—more than the cost of a new ticket! When I asked for a refund, they offered a pathetic €12.18 (just airport taxes) despite the hundreds I paid. Their refund and change policies are deceptive, and there’s zero accountability. Customer service was equally useless—just endless copy-paste replies and no real help, forcing me to call premium-rate numbers. In the end, I had to buy a new ticket with another airline because AirSerbia’s “change fee” was ridiculous. Their hidden fees, misleading practices, and robotic support make them one of the worst airlines I’ve dealt with. Do not book with AirSerbia unless you enjoy being scammed.
"decent short flight"
It sounds like a pretty straightforward experience, especially for a short flight. It’s nice that online check-in and the mobile boarding pass worked smoothly. It's unfortunate about the seat selection charge, but at least you had a good spot with a window seat! A small biscuit is a nice touch, though I agree that it would be nice if drinks were included. Glad to hear it was a smooth flight overall! Would you fly with them again?
"Worse company ever."
1-Star Review: Air Serbia – Unreliable and Completely Unprofessional I cannot in good conscience recommend Air Serbia to anyone. My experience with this airline has been nothing short of disastrous—twice. Without any prior notice—no email, no phone call—my original flights were canceled and rescheduled. I was left completely in the dark until I discovered the change myself, far too late to make alternative arrangements without incurring additional costs. I had to rebook at my own expense. What makes this worse is that this isn’t the first time Air Serbia has failed me. On a previous trip, delays left me stranded and scrambling. I gave them a second chance—only to regret it immediately. Air Serbia has demonstrated a staggering lack of communication, reliability, and basic customer care. Save yourself the frustration, wasted time, and financial loss. Fly with literally any other carrier. Avoid Air Serbia at all costs—they are, without question, the worst airline I’ve ever dealt with.
"Unfair treatment and technical problem"
Terrible experience. You can’t check in online, which is already inconvenient. Then at the check-in counter, despite having a small bag (45x45x20), they forced me to check it in—even though it easily qualifies as cabin luggage. Once onboard, I saw many passengers carrying even larger bags with no issue. I had to carry my laptop separately by hand. To make matters worse, we then sat in the plane for two hours due to a technical issue. This entire experience was frustrating and unprofessional. I will never fly with this airline again and strongly advise others to avoid it as well.
"This is the worst company we have ever had a flight with!"
We purchased seats with extra legroom well in advance for health reasons, booking a total of 8 seats on flights from Larnaca to Belgrade, Belgrade to Valencia, and back on the same route. At check-in, we were shocked to be told that our seats had been sold again by the airline! Initially, we hoped it was a mistake, but the exact same issue happened on our return flight. This is an absolute disgrace and shows a complete lack of respect and organization by the airline. No one could provide any explanation for why our seats were taken away. Without a doubt, this has been the worst flight experience we've ever had.
"Terrible company"
Our flight was delayed by 2 hours. While the stewards were polite, the overall service was terrible and minimal. The airline’s policies are frustrating, and the planes were uncomfortable with broken seats that wouldn’t recline. Definitely not a pleasant experience.
"Unreliable airliner"
I can confirm everything others have said about Air Serbia’s constant delays. They seem to deliberately stress connecting passengers by displaying “last call” before boarding, adding unnecessary pressure. The worst part is how they change flight schedules at their own discretion—without offering passengers any option to switch flights. My advice: never book Air Serbia far in advance hoping for cheap tickets. Your flight schedule will likely be changed, throwing off your plans, and you’ll probably end up paying for expensive new tickets anyway.
Air Serbia
Air Serbia traces its origins back to 1927 when the first Serbian civil air transport company, Aeroput, was founded. The same year, Belgrade, the nation's capital, became the hub of its operations with the inauguration of an international airport. Aeroput became the flag carrier of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, and over the years, it played a significant role in improving regional connections, both domestic and international. By 1929, it inaugurated its first regular international route from Belgrade to Zagreb, Graz, and Vienna. In the following years, the airline expanded its services, adding routes to destinations across Austria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Albania, and Italy, solidifying its position as a major regional airline. The airline's fleet during this early period consisted of various aircraft models, including the Aeroput MMS-3, Breguet 19/10, De Havilland DH.60M Moth, Lockheed Model 10 Electra, and several others, some of which were manufactured domestically by the Zmaj aircraft factory. This rich history laid the foundation for what would later become Air Serbia, which continues to serve as the country's flag carrier.
