"Wasnt able to stay."
I’m leaving a bad review solely because the hotel did not honor my confirmed booking. I had booked the hotel online through Booking.com and even received a confirmation. However, before I could reach the hotel, I received an email from them stating they were fully booked. This left me stranded in the middle of the night, scrambling to find accommodation elsewhere. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional.
"Hospitable and Courteous staff"
Alpina Hotel in GK2 is highly recommended! All the staff are extremely hospitable and go out of their way to help. My electric scooter ran out of battery while passing by the hotel, and the security guard along with the front office staff went above and beyond by helping me drag my scooter to a charging point in the parking area so I could charge it. Thank you for the warm support—I will be recommending Alpina Hotel to all my friends, relatives, and colleagues!
"Very bad attitude of staff and dirty room"
The service during my stay was very poor, and the room was dirty. The window could not be closed, and despite continuous requests for repair, it was never fixed, leaving the room extremely cold. In addition, the attitudes of the staff were unpleasant and unhelpful. Overall, a very disappointing experience.
"Clean and conveniently located, with very friendly staff"
We stayed for five nights in connection with a wedding and were given one of the best rooms (201), which was large, bright, and well-furnished with a good bathroom. Room 202, adjacent to ours, was equally spacious. Although both rooms faced the main road, double-glazed windows kept the noise minimal. The staff was very friendly and cooperative, and breakfast was good. One morning, we had breakfast in the basement, a large hall suitable for functions where we also hosted one of the wedding events. On other mornings, breakfast was served in the small but cosy dining room on the first floor, where we also enjoyed some excellent meals despite slightly slow service. The only irritations were that the room key needed to be re-validated daily and the internet was unreliable, often cutting out. Despite these minor issues, the hotel's superb location and overall experience make it a place I would definitely consider staying at again when visiting Delhi.
"An acceptable but slightly disappointing replacement hotel"
We ended up staying here unexpectedly due to a fire at our originally booked hotel. The room was small, and although the bed was comfortable, there wasn’t much space to use the armchair. The staff were welcoming and made us feel at ease. The restaurant is tiny, but the food was tasty and reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet was a bit limited in variety but sufficient. Overall, a decent stay given the circumstances.
"Stayed here for a fortnight – unsafe for women"
The rooms were not very clean, and I had to ask housekeeping to change my sheets and clean up again. The location is okay, but I wouldn’t recommend this place for solo women traveling on business. The breakfast was very oily, and the staff were unwilling to prepare anything lighter. Overall, the food was average, though I did enjoy the oil-free parathas I requested for dinner.
"Clean and well appointed, but needs improvements"
The hotel is well located, and the staff are friendly and mostly helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable, making for a pleasant stay. However, the WiFi network is almost unusable, dropping connections every few minutes when it works at all. For a hotel that caters to business travelers, this is a major inconvenience. The duty staff can do little to resolve it—management really needs to bring in qualified technical support to fix this frustrating issue.
"Disappointment :( !"
I asked my husband to choose this hotel after reading positive reviews, and at first glance, I was satisfied. The room was small but clean, the bathroom was fine with hot water, and the bed seemed comfortable. If you only need a place to sleep and shower for a night or two, this hotel might work. However, for longer stays (3+ days) or if you plan to work and relax, this isn’t the right place. Noise: We could clearly hear people talking in the adjacent rooms and outside our door. Staff members also made a lot of noise, making it impossible to rest. Internet: We needed reliable WiFi for work, but it stopped working one morning. Despite repeated assurances that it would be fixed "in 1-2 hours," it wasn't resolved until the next afternoon—and only after my husband fixed the wiring himself. We missed an important meeting because of this. Food and allergies: Milkshakes caused an allergic reaction, possibly due to chemicals. While I found the food okay, my husband (an Indian) didn’t enjoy it at all. Iron on request: Although it was advertised as available, we had to wait for hours after multiple requests. Lack of respect for guests: We informed the hotel that we’d be staying longer and were told it was "no problem." Yet two days later, we were abruptly told after 2 PM that all rooms were booked and we had to move out. Overall, this hotel lacked basic hospitality, reliability, and consideration for guests. We will not be staying here again and do not recommend it to others.
"Nice stay but a bit pricy"
The hotel is located in Greater Kailash, New Delhi, and we chose it because it was close to our friend’s wedding venue. The area is pleasant, but it’s a bit far from the main attractions of Delhi, so do factor in traffic when planning your day trips. The rooms have all the basic comforts, but they are in need of renovation. The bed was comfortable and the room clean, but we often had issues with the hot water, which was usually lukewarm. Another inconvenience was the lack of a hairdryer in the rooms—you have to request it at reception, and on two occasions, it wasn’t available as it was being used in other rooms. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The reception is open 24/7, and security guards are always present, which made us feel safe. Overall, the experience was good, but considering the room quality and amenities, the price felt too high for what was offered.
"Nice place to stay in south Delhi"
I have been staying at this hotel for the past 4 years, and it has always been a wonderful experience. The property is very well maintained and kept at a high level of cleanliness. The staff is extremely humble and prompt in their service, always making you feel welcome. The 24-hour room service is a great convenience and adds significant value to the stay. Truly a reliable and comfortable place to stay!
"Decent Stay"
The hotel is well located in the GK2 zone, close to the outer ring road, making it convenient to travel by auto to nearby places. The metro station isn’t close enough, but it costs about ₹80-100 to reach North Delhi, including areas like India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhavan. I got a good deal online and paid around ₹1700 per night. The location feels safe to travel even late at night as the area is surrounded by other lodgings. The rooms are a bit cramped due to the large bed but are clean and well-maintained, equipped with a TV and mini-fridge. The washrooms are large and clean, and the housekeeping staff is helpful and quick with service. The buffet breakfast is good enough with a decent variety, and the staff is happy to prepare a quick meal on request. Overall, a comfortable and value-for-money stay.
"Much better than expectations!"
My sister stayed at this hotel last month for a couple of days and couldn’t stop praising it. I was curious about all the fuss, and recently I got the chance to stay at Alpina myself. I must say, it’s absolutely awesome! The room and washroom were impeccably clean, and the entire hotel management was incredibly sweet and always ready to help. In short, if you’re looking for a hotel in Delhi that offers great service and comfort without being heavy on the pocket, this is the place to be. :)
