"Enjoy your stay"

Very clean hotel with very welcoming staff. Breakfast was good, and the location is convenient—the train station is not far, and it’s easy to rent a taxi or van from Bangkok city. The only small downside is that there’s some construction nearby for the new railway station, which makes it a little noisy in the evenings.

"Just an OK OK"

The hotel has a few good points: it’s right next to a 7-Eleven, with a halal eatery and mosque just opposite. The BTS Ratchathewi station is about a 10-minute walk away, and it takes roughly 20 minutes to walk to MBK or 30 minutes to Platinum Mall. Staff were okay, and airport transfer is available. However, the room felt a bit run down with very dim lighting. I noticed white ants in the toilet and TV area, which was unpleasant. The bathtub in the room seemed unnecessary, and the shower design caused the bathroom floor to get very wet. The breakfast spread was nothing special either. Overall, this place just wasn’t for me — it was my first and last time staying here.

"Great hotel at nice location in bangkok"

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with my family. The room was spacious with a nice view, and we really enjoyed having so many massage shops nearby. The location is convenient, though it was sometimes difficult to get a cab because of the renovation near the hotel. Instead, we often took the train—only about a 10-minute walk away. Major shopping malls like Siam Paragon and Central World are just one stop from the station, which made it very easy. The hotel served a good breakfast, and I was especially happy that there was no charge for my 8-year-old son’s meal. That kind of service really makes a difference. Overall, we had a great stay, and I would definitely choose this hotel again next time.

"Good location"

The hotel is well located and very clean. If possible, ask for a room on the upper floors — the view is beautiful and these rooms are much quieter. We had a fairly large room with a spacious bathroom and a bathtub. A 7-Eleven is just a 2-minute walk away, and the MBK Center can be reached in about 5 minutes by tuk-tuk. Overall, the location is very convenient for reaching all the main attractions in Bangkok.

"Nice hotel"

The hotel is conveniently located, just a 20-minute walk from major shopping centers. The staff are very welcoming, the breakfast offers plenty of choices, and everything is very clean. I definitely recommend this hotel. The only downside is that the rooms are not very well soundproofed.

"Too Busy and Noisy"

I stayed at this hotel for two nights and found both positives and negatives. On the plus side, the location is central and close to the BTS, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was quite good. However, the hotel felt busy and overcrowded, my room was dusty with ants, and the constant sound of doors slamming made it difficult to sleep. The lack of a shower curtain also meant the bathroom floor was always soaked after using the shower. Overall, I would not choose to stay here again.

"Clean room and good service"

I think Bangkok City Hotel is an excellent choice, based on my many stays here. I usually book through TripAdvisor, as they often have special deals. The rooms are always very clean and tidy, with spotless bedsheets and comfortable mattresses. The air conditioning works perfectly, which makes the stay even more comfortable. The hotel’s location in the center of Bangkok is very convenient, as I can easily walk to restaurants, malls, and other attractions. For a 3-star hotel, the price is very affordable considering the quality of the services and amenities. Another great plus is that they provide free breakfast for all guests, regardless of room type. I would highly recommend Bangkok City Hotel to any tourists visiting Bangkok.

"A nice place to stay"

We stayed at Bangkok City Hotel during our trip to Bangkok from 28/02/2024 to 01/03/2024. We booked online and requested a higher-level room, but were only given one on the 6th floor, and the view was quite disappointing. On the positive side, the price was affordable, making it a good choice for a budget trip. The staff were warm and polite, though not very helpful when it came to providing details such as trip charges. The room decoration was quite nice, but the biggest downside was the breakfast, which offered very limited choices.

"Economical price"

Bangkok City Hotel may be an older hotel, but the rooms have been renovated and kept very clean. The hot water is strong and reliable, which is a big plus. Breakfast is served as a set (not buffet style), but it’s decent and convenient. Overall, it’s good value for the price and service level. The hotel is suitable if you plan to spend most of your day outside doing activities. The location is also convenient, with a 7-Eleven and Big C nearby.

"Needs to improve"

This hotel seems to be mostly favored by Chinese guests. Unfortunately, the breakfast was a poor imitation, and the TV channels were only in Chinese or Thai. While the location is good, the constant noise from late-night check-ins and check-outs made it difficult to rest. The staff were curt and unwelcoming. Overall, not an experience I would repeat—there will be no next time for me.

Bangkok City Hotel

Affordable hotel near BTS Ratchathewi. Rooms are large and modern. Breakfast included for added value.
