"Great location, suites, overall service and amenities"

We had a wonderful stay. We chose Premier Suite and all the additions that provides was definitely an excellent value. It was convenient to have breakfast right there and ability to savor drinks and snacks after a long day. Suite was large, well maintained and housekeeping was generally good. Only issues is that Premier SUITES are on the lower levels (2 - 6) and it can still be loud at night. So if you are a light sleeper that might be an issue.

"Great rooms, service, and breakfast"

This is a very comfortable hotel where all the staff genuinely try their best to make guests feel welcome and happy. I stayed in a Superior room rather than upgrading to Premium, and I was completely satisfied with the amenities provided. The fast Wi-Fi, comfortable bed, and fridge stocked with complimentary drinks were all appreciated touches. The breakfast was especially amazing and a real highlight of the stay. I stayed on the 8th floor and did not experience any issues with noise. My room was located further down the hallway rather than directly facing the open atrium, which may have helped ensure a quieter and more restful experience. Overall, a very pleasant and enjoyable stay at Barceló México Reforma.

"Great location"

A very good hotel with great service and attentive staff. Barceló México Reforma truly lives up to the reputation of the Barceló Hotel Group — Barceló is always a guarantee of quality. This property stands out in particular, and I highly recommend upgrading to the Premium Service. The added benefits are worth it, especially for the incredible room views, which really elevate the overall experience.

"Glad to be back to the Barcelo"

Aside from an issue with the air conditioning and a disappointing breakfast experience at the lower-level buffet, my stay was fantastic overall. The staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely fun, which made a big difference throughout my visit. The evening entertainment in the lobby created a lively and enjoyable atmosphere, adding a special touch to the experience. My room was comfortable, quiet, and provided a relaxing space to unwind. I especially enjoyed the food served on the 12th floor and at the lobby bar—both were excellent and exceeded expectations. A highlight of my trip was the hotel-arranged airport transfer with Ismael, who made the ride incredibly enjoyable. He was upbeat, engaging, and a pleasure to talk to. Despite the minor inconveniences, I truly enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning to Barceló México Reforma again in the future.

"Room 208"

If possible, I would recommend not staying in this particular room due to the excessive outside noise, which made it difficult to fully relax. Aside from that issue, everything else was perfectly fine and met expectations.

"Overall a good solid stay for the family"

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this centrally located hotel, which made it very convenient to explore different parts of the city. Being right in the heart of Mexico City meant easy access to attractions, restaurants, and key landmarks. We booked the Premium Level City View Suite, which was set up for two guests. Upon request, they provided a twin mattress that we placed near the window in the living area, allowing us to maintain a spacious layout without feeling cramped. Since it was a suite, the room felt generously sized. The lighting throughout the room was well-designed, with intuitive light switch controls and a well-positioned illuminated bathroom mirror. The bathroom itself was modern and spacious, featuring sleek quartz countertops and high-quality L'Occitane toiletries, which was a nice touch. For just $1 extra, we added breakfast to our reservation, and it was definitely worth it. Guests could choose between dining in the lounge or the main restaurant; we opted for the restaurant each morning and found the overall selection satisfying. The freshly squeezed orange juice was a highlight. While the fruit selection was good, adding more local options like mango or guava would have enhanced the experience. Although food labels were provided, for a hotel of this standard, we expected clearer indicators for vegan, vegetarian, or allergen-friendly items, which has become common practice. In fact, we had just visited the American Express Centurion Lounge in Cancún prior to our arrival, and they had detailed labeling in place. As Premium Level guests, we had lounge access, which was a convenient perk. Although the snack offerings remained the same daily, it was helpful to grab a quick bite or coffee in the afternoon. The staff was also flexible about allowing us to take bottled water from the lounge to our room, which we appreciated since we preferred not to drink tap water in Mexico City. The pool was open during our stay, and my son had a great time using it. However, one afternoon around 3 PM, the pool area became extremely hot due to the sun shining through the transparent roof, making it somewhat uncomfortable. Despite many positive aspects, there were a few significant drawbacks. The road noise was noticeable—even from the 11th floor, we could clearly hear traffic and police sirens throughout the day and night. The shower pressure was disappointingly low, and the shower enclosure design allowed water to spill onto the bathroom floor, creating a minor safety concern. The placement of a large mirror in the suite slightly obstructed movement within the room, likely because it doubled as a mounting surface for the TV. Additionally, some of the stone-topped furniture—possibly marble—had visible circular cup stains that could not be removed. While they appeared clean, the marks gave the furniture a worn and somewhat neglected look. In summary, this hotel offers a spacious and comfortable stay in an excellent central location, with quality amenities and helpful lounge access. However, improvements in soundproofing, bathroom design, and furniture upkeep would significantly enhance the overall experience.
