"Blissful"
The villas showcase a charming traditional Thai style, blending comfort with authenticity. Each villa is well-equipped with good amenities and a cozy, comfortable bed, ensuring a restful stay. Guests can enjoy a beautiful sea view and relax on a quiet, secluded beach, making it the perfect retreat for those seeking tranquility.
"Nice hotel but far too expensive for services"
We spent three nights at this hotel, which boasts a lovely private beach and a picturesque location between Lamai and Chaweng. The room with a sea view was beautiful, complete with a private pool, and the hotel offers an app for easy communication with reception, four restaurants, and two swimming pools. However, at over €500 per night, the experience fell short of expectations. The beach and room showed small cleanliness issues, and the restaurants we tried did not match the high standards the hotel’s price and reputation suggest. Service, while decent, did not feel worthy of a luxury palace, especially compared to other Thai hotels at a similar price. Overall, despite the stunning setting and some appealing amenities, the hotel does not deliver value for the cost, and we would not recommend it at its current pricing.
"Relaxing end to a busy two weeks exploring Thailand"
This beautiful resort impresses with its meticulous attention to detail and immaculate cleanliness. The high-spec rooms are thoughtfully designed, offering everything you could possibly need for a truly relaxing escape. While it is set a little farther from Fisherman’s Village compared to many resorts on the north of the island, the drive is only about 15 minutes, making it a convenient yet peaceful retreat. For those seeking downtime with refined, understated service and a touch of luxury, this resort comes highly recommended.
"Medium Hotel"
This hotel is set in a beautiful location and offers appealing amenities like a pool, sun loungers, and beach access. However, it can feel quite crowded, with queues everywhere—from breakfast to the pool area. Service in the restaurant, particularly during breakfast, can be slow, with waits of 10–15 minutes for a waiter to take your order. While the hotel has many positives, guests should be prepared for a busy and sometimes hectic atmosphere.
"Beautiful, but unfortunately with weaknesses"
The hotel enjoys a wonderful location, though the rooms show signs of age and could benefit from some updates. Service starts off attentive and enthusiastic, but unfortunately tends to taper off over time. On a positive note, the beach restaurant stands out, offering delicious meals for both lunch and dinner accompanied by genuinely friendly staff. The main restaurant, however, delivers food and service that are only average, leaving room for improvement.
"Wonderful location"
This hotel boasts a wonderful location on a private, secluded beach—a rare find on bustling Koh Samui. The pool is excellent, and ocean-view rooms offer truly breathtaking vistas. However, the food and beverage offerings, as well as the service, fall short of the high expectations set by the setting. Bathrooms are also in need of an update to match the overall quality of the property. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel remains a great choice for those prioritizing location and views.
"Nice hotel, great staff."
We truly enjoyed our stay, with special thanks to the wonderful staff who provided excellent service, particularly during breakfast and at the beachfront. However, mornings were often disturbed by the sprinkler system hitting the bungalow at 6 a.m. and housekeeping knocking by 7:30 a.m. To avoid this, it’s best to place the rope across the entrance to signal “do not disturb.” After raising the issue at reception, the sprinklers were adjusted to a later time, which made a big difference—something I wish I had requested sooner. Evenings at Fisherman’s Village, just a short taxi ride away, were a highlight of the trip with plenty of dining options. We did try the hotel restaurant one evening, but found it more expensive and not much better than the alternatives nearby.
"Not Belmond Quality"
The hotel benefits from a fantastic location, but the rooms feel a bit tired and the food is average, falling short of the high standard set by other Belmont properties. On the positive side, the staff are lovely, with the spa and beach teams standing out as particularly exceptional. While the property has many appealing features, we’re not sure it would be our first choice to return.
"Recommended"
The hotel has a slightly dated feel, but its pool and outdoor areas are very appealing and well-maintained. Breakfast was enjoyable, though the overall gastronomy could use some improvement. Service was generally excellent, with only a few minor lapses at the pool and bar. Guests should note that the hotel can be lively at times, as it attracts many families with children, which may result in a noisier atmosphere than expected.
"Not a five star hotel"
The hotel shows signs of needing an update, and I encountered a few issues with my room during my stay. The restaurant could benefit from a more varied menu, while breakfast was satisfactory but unremarkable. The staff were friendly, yet the hotel manager seemed to struggle with handling customer complaints effectively. Overall, I would not choose to stay here again.
