"Memorable Dining Worth Repeating"

Dining at this restaurant was an absolute delight. Although our visit was two years ago, the memory of the delicious dishes we enjoyed still lingers. Every plate we ordered was genuinely exquisite, making it one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we've had. I’m confident the quality remains just as high today, and I’m looking forward to returning soon. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a truly memorable meal.

"Exceptional Atmosphere, Good Tasting Menu—but Missing the “Wow” Factor"

I’m torn between giving this place 4 or 5 stars. One thing I’m certain of: the environment deserves a full 5—it's incredibly comfortable and well thought out. We tried the tasting menu, which was overall very good, though I didn’t find any dish particularly outstanding, except perhaps the desserts, which stood out more. Service was friendly and professional, but there was a bit too much time between courses, which slightly disrupted the flow of the meal. It’s not quite a 5-star experience overall, but a 4 doesn’t feel like enough either. Let’s just say it sits somewhere in between—solid and enjoyable, but missing that extra spark.

"Pure Perfection—A Tasting Experience to Remember"

Perfection, pure perfection! Besta delivers on the promise of bites that make you go…hmmm. We got the menu festival which consisted of 4 starters, 6 entrees and 2 desserts. Sounds like a lot but between two people it is the perfect amount of food. Every time a course ended you think, it can’t get much more interesting/delicious than this and it does! If you are a fan of tasting menus, wonderful wine selections, great service, and a serene ambiance, Besta is for you!

"Visually Impressive, But a Major Disappointment Overall"

We opted for the festival tasting menu, and while the presentation of the dishes was visually impressive, the flavors were shockingly underwhelming. The dominant taste throughout was an overpowering, harsh soy sauce, and several dishes had an unpleasant gritty texture that made the experience even less enjoyable. The pacing was also frustrating—some dishes arrived in quick succession, followed by long, idle gaps that dragged the meal out to over two hours. I consider myself a reasonable diner, but I have to be honest: this was a major disappointment. With so many outstanding restaurants in Barcelona, this just isn’t one of them. Save your time and money—there are far better options in the city.

"Creative and Delicious Food, But Slow Service"

I came here for lunch and was impressed by the food—it was both tasty and inventive, with a lot of creativity in each dish. However, the pacing left much to be desired. Despite the restaurant being fairly quiet, with only three other tables occupied, it took over 90 minutes to receive just five dishes. While the quality of the food made up for some of the wait, the long delay did affect the overall experience. That said, if you have the time, the food is definitely worth trying!

"Disappointing Experience That Didn’t Live Up to the Hype or Price"

The atmosphere of the restaurant is clean and modern chic, which initially set the right tone. However, things quickly took a turn. Despite being the first guests to arrive, we were inexplicably seated directly in front of the washroom—a terrible choice for any diner, especially considering the many available seats. It left us wondering if, as tourists, we simply weren’t given the same consideration. Service was lackluster. My wife ordered two glasses of white wine, both served in shockingly small pours—by far the smallest we’ve encountered in both Europe and America. Meanwhile, my daughter and I had bottled water, which staff never bothered to refill. As for the food, while the fish was fresh and the presentation above average, the flavor was disappointing—overly salty and largely one-dimensional. We were served the same fish in two different forms (a taco and a torched sashimi), with very little variation in texture or taste. The overuse of Jerusalem artichoke also stood out—it felt more like an ingredient they needed to use up rather than a thoughtful inclusion. To make matters worse, the ingredient caused me stomach discomfort later, and after looking it up, I learned it's commonly known to cause digestive issues due to inulin content. Maybe a different menu would offer a better experience, but at this price point, I expected far more in both taste and hospitality.

Besta Barcelona

Creative seafood with a Galician-Catalan fusion in an elegant setting. Located in the final area of the restaurant, the Chef Table is a wooden bar presided over by an iron and black marble altar, where the team finishes each dish before the diners, turning the proposal into an interactive and unique experience.
