"from ktm to paro and back"

Thanks for your honest feedback! It sounds like your flight with Bhutan Airlines had a few logistical and comfort challenges—especially during boarding, food quality, and onboard comfort—but the scenic views made up for a lot of it. Flying into Bhutan is indeed known for its breathtaking mountain vistas, especially if you're lucky with the weather.

"perfect landing"

Thanks for the honest feedback. It’s true that flying into Paro limits airline choices significantly, and while Bhutan Airlines is not a budget carrier, the lack of in-flight entertainment and underwhelming service can be disappointing—especially at a premium price point. On the plus side, smooth landings and decent meals are definitely positives, especially on such a scenic and challenging route.

"Best Airlines for Thailand"

That's a strong endorsement! It's great to hear that Bhutan Airlines exceeded your expectations with their professionalism and service, especially compared to some of the larger regional carriers. Personal experiences like yours can really help others make more informed travel decisions. What aspect of their service stood out to you the most—crew behavior, punctuality, or overall comfort?

"Only airline flying to Bhutan by DrukAir"

Thanks for sharing! Bhutan Airlines does seem to dominate flights into Bhutan, especially with limited competition and scenic routes. It’s helpful to know they provide meals and drinks, even if there’s no in-flight entertainment. Many travelers might appreciate more frequency or options from various Indian cities, as you mentioned.

"Bhutan Mysteries"

It’s good to hear your flight was great and the staff courteous—those are big positives. But not being able to pre-book seats and lacking small comforts like newspapers can definitely take away from the overall experience, especially if you're expecting more control or amenities. Sounds like Bhutan Airlines could benefit from a few service upgrades to match the quality of the journey itself.

"Wonderful hospitality onboard a short flight"

That sounds like a truly memorable experience—especially being able to see Kanchenjunga and Mount Everest from the flight! It’s great to hear that Bhutan Airlines is offering such a warm and personalized service, even on short flights. The traditional welcome and farewell touches show a level of hospitality that's often missing from larger carriers. It’s clear their cabin crew training and culture really shine through.

"Tourism visit"

That sounds like a truly memorable trip! Bhutan is known for its serene landscapes and the warmth of its people, and your experience flying into Paro and exploring Thimphu, Punakha, and Paro really highlights that. The genuine hospitality of the Bhutanese people is often what makes visits so special.

"Travel to PARO by Bhutan Airlines"

That's a great point—Paro Airport is famously one of the most challenging in the world, and the fact that only a select few pilots are certified to land there speaks volumes about the skill required. It’s reassuring to know that despite the complexity, Bhutan Airlines maintains high standards for safety, cleanliness, and punctuality. For travelers heading to Bhutan, that combination of exclusivity and reliability makes the airline a solid choice.

"Flight from Kolkata , India to Paro , Bhutan"

Your review paints a vivid picture of a truly memorable flight experience with Bhutan Airlines. From the efficient check-in to the smooth landing through the valleys of Paro, it sounds like a journey that combined comfort, good service, and incredible scenery. The snack offerings and polite crew added to the positive impression, and your tip about choosing a left-side window seat for Himalayan views — possibly even Mt. Everest — is excellent advice for future travelers.

"view the Himalayas mountain range and Mt Everest!"

That’s a great tip for future travelers — choosing the left side when flying into Paro and the right on the way back really does offer those once-in-a-lifetime Himalayan views, especially of Mt. Everest! It’s also impressive how confidently the pilots handle the famously tricky landing at Paro, adding a sense of adventure without compromising comfort.

Bhutan Airlines

Bhutan Airlines, officially known as Tashi Air Pvt. Ltd, is Bhutan’s first private airline, with its head office located in Thimphu. The airline resumed operations on 10 October 2013, launching its first international flights to India and Thailand. Initially, Bhutan Airlines also served domestic destinations such as Jakar and Trashigang, but these services were suspended in June 2012 due to financial challenges. However, after reaching an agreement with the Bhutanese government, the airline resumed a full flight schedule, notably operating routes such as Kolkata to Paro.
