"Nice food"
Visited on Sunday, 17 August 2025, and was greeted with fast and welcoming service. The food was fresh, nicely presented, and arrived promptly. However, the galette’s buckwheat flavor wasn’t quite to our taste — perhaps an acquired one. On the bright side, they cater well for children with a dedicated kids’ menu, which is always appreciated.
"Second time was as great as the first!"
This was our second visit, returning after an outstanding experience two years ago, and it was just as wonderful! The restaurant continues to offer the best selection of crepes and galettes in Paris. We shared one savory and one sweet, both perfectly prepared and delicious. The service was excellent, and the location is ideal for a Parisian meal. Truly a must-try when visiting Paris!
"Good but totally manic service, not relaxing"
We visited last week as three couples and were met with a less-than-friendly welcome. After being seated, we were told to order from the menu of the day if we wanted food quickly — otherwise, the wait would be long. We ordered three savory galettes and three sweet crepes. The savory ones were very good, and the banana caramel crepe was also tasty, but the raspberry, apple jam, and strawberry jam options were quite basic — just a plain crepe with a spoonful of jam on top. The service was hectic, with staff rushing around and no relaxed atmosphere at all. Our three glasses of white wine were practically thrown onto the table, as the servers were already focused on their next task. The restaurant itself looks nice, but it’s cramped, leaving no room for jackets or bags, and the toilets were dirty with no paper, which unfortunately seems common in Paris. We spent €95 for six crepes and three small glasses of wine, which felt overpriced for what we received. With friendlier, more attentive service, the experience could have been much better — but as it stands, it’s not a place we’d rush back to.
"Brittany wins me"
A delightful spot to end the afternoon with a classy, well-made pancake. The flavors were refined, and the presentation felt thoughtful. This quick taste left a great impression, and I’d definitely like to return for a full meal to better appreciate what this micro-chain specializing in Breton galettes and crêpes truly has to offer.
"Nothing special"
Unfortunately, my visit was quite disappointing. The crepe was dry and tough, missing the freshness and light texture you’d normally expect. The flavor was ordinary, and the prices were far too high for such a simple dish. While I wasn’t expecting a gourmet experience, I also didn’t expect to leave feeling so underwhelmed — not worth the cost for the quality served.
"A little overrated"
A reservation is essential, as this restaurant—now more of a chain given its many Paris locations—is packed with mostly foreign tourists. Service is fairly quick, though the wait for dessert was a bit long. The pancakes are decent, but I found them lacking flavor—not enough salt or sugar. What really disappointed, however, was the price: €80 for two savory pancakes, two sweet ones, two glasses of cider, and two coffees, plus a small salad bowl at €3.80, which feels excessive. Overall, pleasant but far too expensive for what you get—next time, we’ll wait until we’re in Brittany to enjoy the real thing!
"Culinary pancakes"
Delicious pancakes with a special twist! The homemade apple and rhubarb compotes were absolutely delightful, adding just the right balance of sweetness and freshness. The sauces were clearly made in-house, enhancing the overall flavor. A warm, satisfying experience — highly recommended!
"Gentlemen level galas"
Everything was great! We had to wait a few minutes outside in the cold, but it was absolutely worth it. This modern French café perfectly blends contemporary style with traditional flavors, creating a truly enjoyable experience. If you’re in the Marais-Archives area, make sure to stop by — you won’t regret it!
"Excellent pancake and 3€ coffee ☕️ with Service that leaves something to be desired…"
Excellent pancake — light, flavorful, and well-made! The vegetable filling could use a bit more attention, perhaps sautéed and seasoned for added depth. The only downside was the €3 coffee, which I had to order myself — a little expensive for the experience 😉.
"Crêpes and Galettes"
Very correct in every way — excellent crêpes and galettes, cozy atmosphere, and efficient service. Prices are, of course, typical for Paris, but the quality makes it worthwhile. It’s a small place that fills up quickly, so plan ahead if you want a table!
Breizh Café
A standout crêperie/galette place in the Marais, sourcing quality ingredients and offering both savoury and sweet options.
