"The Brick rocks!"
We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at the Brick Hotel. We stayed in the rooftop suite, which was spacious and beautifully appointed, featuring a deck, a penthouse area with a clawfoot tub, and a cozy daybed. The location is ideal — right in the heart of Roma, surrounded by fantastic restaurants, bars, and cafés. Breakfast was included and absolutely outstanding, and the service throughout the hotel was friendly and attentive. Overall, the Brick Hotel is an excellent home base for exploring Mexico City.
"Chic and perfectly located"
We stayed four days at the Brick Hotel and really enjoyed our time in the vibrant Roma neighborhood, surrounded by fantastic restaurants. The highlight of our stay was Miguel, the concierge, who went above and beyond to organize dinners at nearby restaurants and provide excellent local tips. He even secured tickets to the Frida Kahlo Museum — his service was truly extraordinary. On the downside, even our DeLuxe room wasn’t particularly large, so it’s definitely worth booking a DeLuxe if you want a comfortable space, as the standard rooms are very small. Overall, a wonderful stay with exceptional service and a prime location.
"Perfect boutique hotel in Mexico City"
Staying at the Brick Hotel in the Roma neighborhood was an absolute delight. Everything about our stay was perfect — the room was comfortable, the food was excellent, and the location is ideal for exploring the vibrant area. A standout feature is the hotel’s spa, which added an extra touch of relaxation and luxury to our visit. Overall, it’s a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Mexico City.
"Fab Location – great breakfast!"
The Brick Hotel is in a fantastic location, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Our standard room was cozy and comfortable, though it did not have an external window — the window looked out onto the corridor, which was a bit impractical. Despite this, I would stay here again because I really liked the hotel’s location, décor, and attentive staff. Next time, I would book a room with an external window for a brighter experience.
"Nice hotel but quite disappointing service"
Well decorated hotel, chic atmosphere, well located in the lively Roma Norte district, excellent restaurant but quality of breakfast "included in the price of the room" unacceptable at this price level and for a hotel labeled Small Luxury Hotels of the World. Of course, there are à la carte options but at extra cost. Also note, the hotel clearly specifies, that the Superior rooms do not have a window facing the outside but a high window opening onto the ceiling of the corridor. Insufficient soundproofing of the rooms with the corridor. Also surprising at this price level. In the end, the hotel looks good but offers a rather disappointing service.
"A good stay at the Brick Hotel"
We really enjoyed our stay at the Brick Hotel. The property is clean, quiet, and comfortable, with a very friendly and helpful staff. Its location is ideal for exploring the vibrant Roma Norte neighborhood, and breakfast in the morning was very good. The only drawback is the lack of a pool and exercise facilities, but overall, it’s a great choice for a relaxing and convenient stay in the area.
"Bad in waiters"
We attended breakfast with the family at the Locksmith Restaurant in the Brick Hotel, and while the restaurant itself is very nice, our experience was negatively affected by the service. The waiter, Edwin, seemed rushed and unwilling when taking our order, making us feel pressured. When we asked questions about the menu, his responses were curt and unhelpful. Our food arrived slowly, and some dishes were incomplete. When requesting the bill, we asked for a 10% tip to be added, but Edwin reacted dismissively, explaining that 15% is usually left. We also noticed him teasing colleagues about the tip we left, which was unprofessional and made the experience uncomfortable. Overall, while the restaurant is attractive and the setting is pleasant, the poor service from this waiter left a disappointing impression.
"Nice hotel, but skip the excursions"
This Zócalo Central Hotel is a good, though not exceptional, hotel. Its central location makes it easy to walk to numerous restaurants and cafés, and our room was spacious and comfortable during our four-night stay. However, there were some concerns. The lighting throughout the property is very dim, and several narrow staircases lack proper railings, which felt unsafe. We were also surprised to be charged for bottled water from the minibar, even though similar bottles were left around the property. The excursions booked through the hotel were inconsistent, and I would recommend using alternative tour vendors for a more reliable experience. Despite these issues, the hotel is charming, relaxing, and provides a pleasant stay overall.
