Broncemar Beach Suites Hotel

"14 days at Broncemar"
We enjoyed 14 fantastic days at Broncemar from 22 July to 5 August. The hotel kindly gave us our favorite room, which made us very happy. This was our first visit to Broncemar in the summer, and we found the apartment can get quite hot. The ceiling fan alone isn’t enough to cool it down when the sun has baked the apartment all day. We ended up buying an extra fan to get a comfortable night’s sleep. It’s worth noting that in winter, the fan works perfectly, but for summer stays, the hotel might consider installing air conditioning to make things more comfortable. Overall, a lovely stay in a wonderful hotel!
"A shame for the French, because this hotel is typically English"
We arrived at the Broncemar Hotel and found the property itself to be very nice. The restaurant offered a varied selection, and breakfast was generally delicious, although there was a problem in the mornings with only two coffee machines for all guests, which caused long waits. Unfortunately, the service was very disappointing. As French visitors, we expected more support from the hotel staff. The resort is predominantly English-speaking, and while we did see Alexis, he was mostly unavailable in the afternoons, only assisting with excursions. When we encountered issues, there was often no one available to help, leaving us to manage on our own. Overall, despite the good facilities and restaurant options, the poor service significantly impacted our stay. We will not be returning and, frankly, cannot recommend this hotel to others, particularly French guests.
"Great time. Don’t listen to miserable reviews"
Before our holiday, my mum read a lot of negative reviews online, which nearly put her off the trip. Many complained about things like cockroaches, lack of air conditioning, and other minor issues. Having returned to the UK, I can honestly say most of these comments are rubbish. Some people just love to complain! Yes, there are cockroaches around the grounds, but we stayed in a ground-floor room and didn’t see a single one inside. Perhaps food left on floors attracts them, but for us, it wasn’t an issue. Regarding air conditioning, the hotel clearly states they only provide fans, so anyone expecting AC should note this. It was a little warm when using the hairdryer, but nothing unbearable. Our room was lovely, with a beautiful terrace, and the people we met were wonderful. My son made plenty of friends, and we all had a fantastic time. The only minor note is that you do need to get your towels on a sun lounger before 9am. On our first day, arriving at 10:30am meant every sunbed was taken—but that’s hardly a complaint! Overall, this hotel is great, and I would 100% return. Don’t let negative comments put you off a brilliant holiday experience!
"Great family holiday"
After 10 years, we returned to find the refit absolutely fantastic! The apartment was lovely, with three balconies as a real bonus, though self-catering would have been easier with more cooking pots and utensils. No air conditioning, but it wasn’t an issue for us. The pool area was nice and well-maintained, although some guests left a mess during the day—thankfully, the cleaners sorted it in the evenings. If you want a sunbed, be prepared for the early-morning dash! 🤣 It’s baffling why some families reserve loungers while in the pool. By the end of our stay, it was quieter, and plenty of sunbeds were available. The nearby beach is stunning, and the location is perfect—just a short walk to shops, bars, and restaurants. A lovely holiday overall!
"Lovely hotel as mentioned and reception staff are very helpful as well as the jet2 reps."
It’s a lovely hotel—very clean and with mostly lovely, helpful staff. Whenever we needed anything sorted, they were quick to oblige. Apart from a few days when housekeeping didn’t visit, our travel rep sorted things promptly. The food wasn’t really to my taste, but that’s personal preference. I would definitely return on a self-catering package, as the hotel is conveniently close to the main bars and entertainment.
"Decent, but some improvements needed"
Our first impression wasn’t ideal, as it took over 45 minutes to check in due to a very slow receptionist. The rooms were spacious and generally clean. On one occasion, the cleaner forgot to leave towels, but reception quickly resolved the issue. There’s no air conditioning, but the large ceiling fan did the job. The showers are poorly designed, with water leaking onto the floor, so towels are needed to catch it. The hotel has two good-sized pools, a kids’ pool, and a splash area. Sunbeds require an early morning dash, but that’s typical for most resorts. Being under the flight path, planes fly overhead frequently, though it wasn’t a major issue for us. We did see a few cockroaches, including a couple in our room, but not enough to consider the hotel infested. Kids’ club was basic but functional. The food was decent, though a little repetitive, and poolside snacks were mediocre. The entertainment team worked hard and did a good job, but nighttime music was excessively loud for a family hotel, especially for rooms near the stage. Overall, a reasonably priced hotel with some drawbacks. Some negative reviews seem over the top, but in my opinion, it’s closer to a 3-star experience than 4.
"Nice hotel. Great pools for kids"
We had a lovely stay at the hotel. The pools are great, and the transfer time was very short. We didn’t opt for the all-inclusive, and we’re glad we didn’t—the food didn’t seem much above a 2-star level. The rooms are spacious, although the fan is quite noisy but necessary for the heat. Housekeeping was a little limited—towels were replaced, but we had to request floor cleaning on day 5. The entertainment team was lovely, offering activities like water aerobics and water polo. Our kids (9 & 11) weren’t interested in the kids’ club, but that may vary depending on the child. We enjoyed eating out locally, which was cheap and of good quality. Overall, a nice holiday at a great price (£1,680 for a family of 4 for one week). We likely wouldn’t return, as we like to explore new destinations each year, but it was a pleasant experience.
"Disappointing Stay – Poor Cleanliness Throughout"
This was, unfortunately, the dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed in. Our room was only cleaned once during the entire week, and the lack of basic hygiene was apparent throughout the property. The small sit-in pool caused both of us to develop rashes on our legs, likely due to poor maintenance and cleaning. Communal areas around the bar and pool were consistently filthy, with rubbish left on the floor and little effort to tidy up. The food was acceptable but very repetitive, making dining quite dull by the end of our stay. Overall, we were extremely disappointed and would not return.
"It’s Top."
Fantastic hotel with top-notch service! The staff speak multiple languages, making communication easy and pleasant. The tour guides are knowledgeable and responsive, and the animation team is super friendly, keeping everyone entertained. A truly enjoyable stay—I highly recommend it!
"A good hotel"
We had a great stay at the hotel. The accommodation isn’t air-conditioned, but it wasn’t too hot thanks to the breezy location and a ceiling fan in the room. The bedding was very comfortable, and the meals were of good quality, with breakfast offering a nice variety. Meal times were a little late (breakfast from 8am), but it wasn’t an issue for us. The hotel was generally clean, though housekeeping could be a bit “sloppy” at times. The pools were clean, not crowded, and accessible until 6pm—just remember to bring clips to secure your towels to the deckchairs. The location is very convenient, with a nearby beach, shops, and bars. The supermarket, restaurants, and even cheap tobacco were all within easy reach. The bus station is just a 3-minute walk, and taxis are 1 minute away. The entertainment team was very friendly, though sometimes short-staffed. Evening entertainment was entertaining but nothing extraordinary. All-inclusive drinks are available from 10am to 11pm. One minor downside: if your accommodation overlooks the pools, it can be a bit noisy, with the regular passage of planes overhead. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
"Bug hotel"
We stayed with my daughter, her partner, and our grandchildren. The pools are great, but you need to be up by 6:30 am to secure sunbeds. Breakfast was okay, but bar food was very poor – ham and cheese toasties were the only decent option. I stayed in a single or couples’ room, which was spacious with a massive TV showing English channels, a rain shower, and a roll-top bath. Towels were changed daily, bins emptied, and the room was fully cleaned once during our 7-day stay. The entertainment team were very nice and worked hard. Unfortunately, the hotel has a serious cockroach problem. They were everywhere. My daughter repeatedly woke up with them crawling on her in bed and saw them in the shower, on walls, and the floor. Maintenance tried multiple times with sprays and cleaning, but she only had two nights without them. At night, cockroaches could be seen all over the pathways. Overall, while the pools and staff were enjoyable, the infestation makes it very difficult to recommend this hotel.
