"Café de la Paix – Classic Paris Charm with Beautiful Coffee and Atmosphere"
We stopped by Café de la Paix for breakfast, and it truly lives up to its reputation for elegance. Finding a table was easy, and the staff were warm, polite, and professional. The seating was comfortable and well-spaced, immediately giving you that classic Paris café feeling. The interior is stunning, with high ceilings, mirrors, gold accents, and a design that transports you to old Paris. Everything was spotless and perfectly maintained. Despite being in the city center, the café felt calm and relaxed, with the lively Parisian streets just outside. Service was excellent—attentive, efficient, and happy to accommodate small changes to orders. We had two coffees, a crêpe for my daughter, and an omelette to share. The coffee was outstanding—rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. The crêpe was somewhat underwhelming, and the omelette, while beautifully presented, was average in taste. Prices are on the higher side, as expected for a famous Paris café, but fair considering the location, service, and atmosphere. Overall, Café de la Paix is worth visiting for its history, elegance, and exceptional coffee. The food may not be remarkable, but the experience, service, and ambiance make it a quintessential Parisian breakfast spot.
"Disappointment!"
We ordered coffee, gourmet tea, and one additional tea for €50—a price expected from a prestigious brand, but unfortunately the experience did not match. A waiter roughly tapped my shoulder to point out my coat had fallen, then walked away without the courtesy to pick it up. To make matters worse, a small mouse nearly ran by our feet near the kitchen door, startling our American friend. Such incidents are disappointing and do not reflect the elegance, luxury, or image one expects from a French institution.
"Dinner at cafe De La Paix"
I had dinner at La Paix Restaurant in Paris, a well-known and traditional spot. The food was of good quality, and the service was truly exceptional, attentive and professional. However, the atmosphere felt a bit lacking—some live music or a more unique ambiance could have elevated the experience. The menu was somewhat limited for a restaurant of this caliber, but overall, it’s a solid choice for reliable dining.
"I do not recommend"
The venue is beautiful and clearly attracts many tourists, but our visit was disappointing. During tea-time, we paid €50 for three items (two gourmet teas and a salty tea), which might have been reasonable if not for an unexpected guest—a mouse near our table. Even more concerning, the staff didn’t seem to notice or care. For a place of this caliber, this is unacceptable. I will not be returning.
"Very Welcoming and Great Food"
We came here for lunch while meeting friends nearby. Although there was a small line for outdoor seating, we were quickly seated inside. The staff were very pleasant, welcoming, and engaging. The menu we received was limited—it turned out we were given the café menu instead of the full lunch menu—but everything we ordered was excellent. We had smoked salmon, a turkey club, a cheeseburger, coffee, and desserts including the opera glacé, all of which were delicious. We ended up staying for three hours, enjoying great food and catching up with friends.
"the box is beautiful but the Service does not shine"
It’s a shame that the snack service under the canopy doesn’t live up to the reputation of this iconic place. Of the three servers, only the most senior displayed professionalism. The other two were far from 5-star standard—chatting with each other in front of guests and one even spent nearly 20 minutes talking to a client who had already finished, delaying service for others. For a 5-star establishment, such casualness and lack of professionalism are unacceptable.
"Paris: THE best alternative for business meetings if you don’t want to use a shared office space"
This is a reliable choice for an informal business breakfast meeting. The room is beautifully decorated and classy, with a constant background buzz that keeps conversations private. The coffee and food are both very good. Highly recommended for a professional yet relaxed setting.
"The setting is still beautiful but the rest does not follow! Too bad!"
The setting is beautiful, as always, and the food was excellent, even if the price-to-quality ratio is fairly high for a large Parisian brasserie. Unfortunately, the service was far below standard. The host couldn’t locate our reservation and was unfriendly, and the restaurant appeared understaffed. Our son, who arrived before us, was placed on the veranda and largely forgotten during the meal, instead of the main room we had requested. While some staff tried to salvage the evening, the overall experience was disappointing and did not live up to the establishment’s reputation due to a lack of staff and professionalism. Such a shame!
"Legendary Parisien Café"
A quintessential café experience on the main boulevard, with a classic and luxurious setup. The venue is stunning, featuring beautiful décor and traditional furniture. The dishes are traditional and well-prepared, the drinks excellent, and the service attentive. Prices are on the higher side, but the overall experience makes it well worth it.
"Beautiful"
A beautiful place that I always enjoy visiting. The service is impeccable, the champagne perfect, and the overall ambiance truly highlights the elegance and charm of the venue.
